Chapter 17
I'm currently still at Ronan's parents house lost in the massive kitchen. It's like one of those kitchens you see in restaurants just triple the size and just completely empty of people. Who has a kitchen this size with no use of it? Beats me.
I've been stuck in her for about an hour. Every turn I take hoping to find a door that leads me out but end up in another hallway of the kitchen or find a door that's full of food or kitchen ware.
I turn around and jump from the figure that is standing behind me. I quickly turn around knocking over some pots and pans. I try to catch them but it only makes more of a mess as more fall down on top of me. Ah shit Mia you're such a klutz.
"U-uh I'm so sorry. I got lost and I've been stuck in here for an hour trying to find my way out. I don't even know how I got in here in the first place" I stutter while holding my hands out in surrender and innocence.
I look up at his face but it's covered by a hood and is too dark to see his facial features. Greeaat Mia you should of just stayed in your room. God why does this always happen? In a blink of an eye I'm slammed into the wall with the crazy vampires hand wrapped tightly around my throat. He moves my hair to the side bringing his face closer to my neck. I wiggle under his grip. He inhales deeply taking in my scent and sighs in satisfaction.
"What is your name human?" he asks. I kept my lips sealed.
His grip tightens as I gasp for air and scratch at his hand to let go. He doesn't budge and my head starts to feel heavy. I do the only thing I can think of. I knee him as hard as I can where the sun don't shine and he immediately lets go his hands now holding the pain in his groin. I take the opportunity to make a run for it never taking a second to glance back. A few moments later I'm ripped backwards and smash my head on the ground causing my vision to blur. I cough roughly and feel a wet substance on my lips. I put my hand up to touch my face and look down to see my palm covered in blood, my blood. The man from earlier pushes me back down flat against the ground and kneels over me. He looks me straight in the eyes, his eyes black and dark and unrecognizable like the rest of him. His stare never leaving my face. I start to feel like I'm in a trance as I start to lose the feeling of my body.
"Now tell me what is your name darling?" He demands a sinister smile on his face.
I feel my mouth open but I'm not the reason behind it. I try to close my mouth but my resistance isn't strong enough against this over whelming power that seems to be over taking my actions. My voice hoarsely cracks from my throat as I speak the thing I didn't want to say.
"Miabella."
"Huh so you're the famous Miabella that Vivian was telling me about. Well I guess this is a good thing then. After all she did promise I get to have you and do whatever I want with you" he tells me but his voice dims out as I slowly slip into unconsciousness. "But I must wait until the time is right and Vivian's plan succeeds. Can't ruin my hiding place right now before the fun has even begun yet can I?" And with that everything went black.

I'm surrounded by the woods. No sight of any other being around me at all. It's dark only having the dim brightness of the moon as my source of light. I walk around not knowing what else to do or where I am. The cool breeze blows my hair to the side slightly covering my face.
"Mia" a voice whispers in the wind. I quickly turn everywhere trying to find the direction of the voice and find a face to it but see nothing but trees surrounding me. I shake it off figuring its just my imagination and continue walking around aimlessly.
"Piccolo uccello"
I freeze in my spot the voice from the wind sending chills down my spine. The wind picks up almost causing me to fall over in my spot. The wind slightly pushing me to move forward as if it was guiding me to a place that it wanted me to go, somewhere I needed to be.
"MIA!"
My head switches around in a flash that would usually give me whiplash.
"Gre-Greyson?" I choke back a sob confused. His small and fragile cheery voice still ringing and lingering in my ears.
"Come on Mia! Come and find me!" His voice seems to be growing further as the wind blows harder pushing me into the direction of his innocent voice.
"Greyson don't move I'm coming!" I sprint as fast as my legs will let me towards the direction his words were echoing from.
"Hurry Mia!" His voice cries out only giving my body a pump to move quicker as his voice gets closer and closer. Screams and cries suddenly fill my ear drums causing me to stop and fall to the ground covering my ears and clenching my teeth in agonizing pain. The sound slowly dimming as my hearing gets used to it. I hurriedly scramble to my feet starting to move to him again.
"Hold on Grey!" I shout out my breath heavy from the lack of oxygen since I'm not used to this type of physical activity.
"Mia help me!" He screams. Tears start to fill my eyes at the thought of my little brother being hurt and I'm not there. My legs keep moving dodging all the trees in my path and jumping over bushes and tree trunks making sure not to trip. "SAVE ME!"
Suddenly the forest ended and a couple yards away is an empty cliff nothing but the dark dreary sky and the dim light from the full moon. I slowly walk towards the edge of the cliff making sure not to get to close so I don't slip.
"Greyson" I whisper as lonely tears slip down my face. My eyes focusing on the ground before me not missing a single step on the dirt covered ground.
"Miabella"
I unhurriedly turn my body around to face the forest again but once again I see nothing. Emptiness fills me at the nothingness before me. Turning back around I'm taken aback by the scene taking in front of me.
It's the view of Ronan's house or even mansion shall I say but it's covered with white and light colored roses. Gold and white ribbons littered the endless amount of rows of dark oak benches. In between the seating was a long white carpet runway type thing. I was confused to say the least.
Looking further ahead I could see Ronan fixing the ends of his sleeves and straightening his suit while standing at the end of the walkway on top of an altar with a priest by his side. His face was as normal, filled with no emotion. To the right I could see his parents, Lia, Bryce, and there was another figure sitting with them but I couldn't see their face.
All of a sudden a girl is walking down the white pathway that was for her as her outfit matched the decorations around her. I look back ahead and look at the person that is sitting next to Lia and noticed that they looked very familiar. As everyone stands up they are the last taking their time seeming to have no interest in what's going on. The whole time i'm trying to figure out how familiar they look and it wasn't until they turned around that I shockingly knew exactly who it was.
It was me.
My face resembled the same as Ronan's as I watched Ronan take the girls hand in his. I recognized the girl as Vivian. My face remained contoured through the whole thing and I looked away as they ended their ceremony.
A fog starts to mask over the scene in front of me and as I'm about to walk away a new scene is placed in front of me.
Vivian stood firm as she ordered the high soldier vampires. What she was telling them to do I didn't know until from a distant a fire was scorching a village of the human slaves. I stood there in shock and in disbelief as my knees give out and I'm left falling to the ground with an umph. The fog comes back around and leaves as soon as it came.
This time it's me.
My body is tied around a stake leveled up for everyone to see. Surrounding me is hay glossed over with some sort of liquid. I sat there watching myself as I would try to wiggle my way out of the ropes but nothing would move. I looked at my face and seen unshed tear as my voice screeched with pleads and cries. From the left a shadow was quickly making it's way toward my tied body. I could distinguish the shadow as Ronan. What was he doing?
In a flash he was running up closer to my body as an attempt to save me but was quickly stopped by a couple of vampires guarding and circling around me.
"PICCOLO UCCELLO!" He cries reaching his arms out towards me as I struggled in the ropes.
"RONAN" I sob back as the tears streamed down my face.
Swiftly Vivian walks though the crowd of vampires standing in between Ronan and I. I watch as my face turned into anger as Ronan's eyes filled black with hatred. I sat dumbfounded not understanding what was happening.
"Aw now isn't this sad two lovers from different worlds. Mortal" she says as she looks towards me. "And immortal" she turns her head towards Ronan as he lets out a growl but the guards pull him back and grip onto his arms tighter. "It is forbidden for such treasury to happen to bad it had to happen with your loving King but as Queen I have taken matters into my hands and demonstrate that no matter of your ranking nothing will be accepted."
"You would have done this even if Mia didn't exist. She just gives you a reason to make things easier for you" Ronan growls at her. Vivian sighs in annoyance. She walks over towards him placing her hand on his cheek.
"You can tie him up now" she tells the guards as she walks away. The guards carry Ronan next to where the had me tied up but still a parts away so that we couldn't touch.
"I'm so sorry piccolo uccello" he chokes as beautiful blue eyes fill with water and sadness.
"I love you. You will always be my one love forever" I sob as I look up to the sky and close my eyes waiting for what's coming next.
"E sempre il mio amore." A small smile etches it's way onto my face as tears continue to fall down my cheeks.
One of the guards walks back around carrying a large torch and slowly brings it down onto the hay below my tied body. Flames erupt and spark around my body. My eyes widen in shock and fear as I watch as I'm being burned alive at the stake. The only thing being heard is my screams of excruciating agony and Ronan's heartbroken cries. The guard then went to his side and slowly brought the torch down to the hay under him.
"I'll see you soon piccolo uccello." With that Ronan was covered with the bright flames and heat burning his existence. Echoing from a far is the sound of Vivian's laughter as her plan was finally succeeded.
