Dorothy's POV

I woke up licking my lips and stretching on the bed, I yawned so loud as I could swallow someone up.

I later realized I wasn't sleeping at my apartment but my boss when I saw him all dressed sitting looking at me from his desk.

I instantly jumped up saying, "Good morning boss."

"Sleepyhead, freshen up and wear this, lots of news is going on, we need to attend an impromptu meeting." He said pointing at the bag where the clothes are and left.

I noticed something was off here, his eyes are still red and he looks like someone who didn't get enough sleep, oh no, the news.

I fell back on the bed, scattering my hair and hitting my legs together, I was supposed to make him happy when he found out but stupid me, I fell asleep.

What will I do? I should just try my best to make sure, this doesn't affect any of his meetings today, I will be prepared just in case anyone is trying to oppose him.

I quickly freshen up with a new set of soap and others he got for me but come to think of it, how did I end up sleeping in my jerk of a boss room? He is annoying, pretending not to know me but maybe it's fate or what can I say?

I fit into the corporate wears he got for me and stepped out, then he said, "Let's get going."

We both entered the car as the driver zoomed off to the company.

Immediately we arrived, the press was already here and they kept saying why would Oliver do such knowing his father is about carrying out politics, many assumptions that provoked me.

Boss remained in the car lost in thought, then I gave a sign for the securities to clear up the way so my boss could go into the office without the press stopping him.

They did as instructed and I tapped the boss, "The press is sent out."

He nodded with no smile as we both walked in but I can't even believe some workers kept bad-mouthing him.

I noticed the boss went straight to his office and acted like he was not moving. One of the workers said to me, "I know your pains Dorothy, why don't you just resign before you end up at the hospital."

"Don't say what you don't know about the boss, it seems you are tired of your job, I could kindly inform the boss without you sending in your resignation letter." I declared with boldness and she started pleading.

Aiden walked in looking so handsome and he said, "Good Morning Dorothy."

"What are you doing here?" I whispered.

"I came to see you." He smiled.

Oh, what a fool he is, why would he come to see me at my working place when it's not yet time for a break.

I walked to him saying, "Please we see later but now this is work."

I noticed he caressed my hair and I assumed he was reaching for my lips then he whispered saying, "I am not a dummy, I was just pulling your legs, I came to see your boss to sign some documents concerning the hotel project and also to show him the new upgrade we are having on the ground to make it a more suitable place for persons."

"Dorothy!!" Boss yelled my name and I quickly left the weird position.

"Oh boss, I was about to come to your office, Mr Aiden is here for the project." I stammered.

He just walked back in and I could feel my heart beating like I wronged someone but why?

"You can go in,Aiden."

"Thanks but come to think of it, your boss is annoying."

"Please don't speak ill of my boss okay."

"Yes ma, so what about dinner tonight?" He asked.

Wait, is he a stalker or what?

"I am sorry, I have somewhere important to be, I need to see someone important."

"Oh, I get, your boss." He added before leaving to the boss 's office.

Oh, that was close, I finally took my seat and calls came in asking if the news was true and I got so frustrated in defending my boss but I must think of a way to help him.





Oliver's POV

I kept thinking about the latest news and I tried reaching Sharon but her number wasn't connecting, I wanted to know where I wronged her.

I should just act like none of this is happening, it will come and go that's why it's the news.

But my problem is my father and his politics, I don't wish to ruin it.

Mother called and I told her everything is under control but when father called, he kept requesting me to pay someone a huge sum of money to cover up the news and correct the wrong things about me but I refused, I don't like dirty games.

I got a notification that the impromptu meeting got cancelled and I shouldn't be worried.

I think I should start planning for the trip. It's this coming week, should I call pretty Dorothy or walk her?

Saying this I got angry seeing that same guy with Dorothy, what got me so pissed was when I saw him getting close to her lips after he touched her hair.

I stepped out with the anger I was about unleashing when I yelled her name.

She replied with a shaking voice as she stuttered.

I just made a fool of myself and went back to think, I shouldn't have done that or yell at her.

I calmed myself down and listened to Aiden's conversation with her. I felt proud knowing how she speaks well of me and turned down his offer.

I assumed maybe she wants to ask me out for dinner tonight since she has somewhere important to go, and it seems I am so special to her.

Aiden stepped in and greeted me formally, I asked him to sit and he went ahead showing me the details as I signed but if not work is work, I would have punched him in the face.

I got offended when he said, "Thank you, Mr Oliver, you will be seeing more of me around."

"What? Why? Can't you send it via mail?"

"It's important I always come, bye for now." He left and I held my fist so tight.

I am no longer worried about the news but wondering why Dorothy is delaying asking me out for dinner,I remembered her sentence, she is seeing someone important and that's me, I blushed.





After we had lunch during the office break, she didn't say anything about it.

We returned to the office and still, she didn't say anything, "Is she shy?"

Let me call her to come to my office now, "Dorothy my office now."

"Yes, boss."

She came immediately and I asked her to sit before saying, "Dorothy, do you have anything to ask of me? Tell me I will grant it." I had this evil smirk of feeling so highly of myself.

"Yes boss, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity." She said,

Yes, she will be asking me out for dinner but I will have to form a little and later agree, see I am damn cute and handsome to her.

"Boss please I would love to leave the comp
any by 4 pm, I need to see someone very important and dear to me."

She said and my eyes widened, I didn't know when I yelled.
