Chapter Twenty-Two - I trust you.

Maya

I had been awake for a while but hadn’t moved. Conrad is still sound asleep next to me, hugging me. I don’t want to move not only because I don’t want to disturb him, but I don’t want to walk around his house when he isn’t there, either. I would probably get lost anyway. I am fighting the urge to leave before he wakes up. No matter how much a part of me wants to, I won’t because it would be unfair to him. Spending last night with him was good. I liked it. It was casual with no expatiations.

I am trying my best to ignore his morning excitement digging into my ass. I move away from him to put a little distance between us. When I do, only a second later, Conrad pulls me back tightly against him.

“No.” he chuckles.

“I was moved like an inch because your morning wood was digging into my ass.” I snicker.

“Oh, okay, sorry.” He replies and shuffles back a little.

I laugh and thank him. I roll over to face him. He looks so damn good in the morning. How is that even fair? Even with his messy hair and puffy face, he still looks so handsome. I am sure I look like a mess to him.

“How long have you been awake?” he asks, stroking my cheek.

I close my eyes and moan softly, moving into his touch, “About an hour.”

“You should have woken me up, beautiful.”

“I didn’t want to. It is your day off; you deserve a long lie.” I smile.

“How did you sleep?”

“Pretty well.”

I slept better than I have done in a while. I am unsure if it was because the bed was so comfortable or because Conrad was beside me. I will say the bed because it is less strange since I haven’t known Conrad long, but he is probably the real reason.

He smiles brightly at me, “Good. So, tell me, what do I need to do to get you to spend the day with me? We can do whatever you want.”

I tap my finger against my lip, “Hmm, I could maybe be talked into it.”

“You could, uh? Would you like to tell me how?” he chuckles.

I bite on my lower lip and move closer to him, “No, you need to work it out.”

Conrad’s hand falls on my hip and pulls me closer until my body is against his. I moan softly at the closeness.

“Would a kiss be a good start?” he whispers, circling his fingers on my hip.

“It depends on your thoughts about morning breath.” I snicker.

Conrad inches closer to me, “I don’t mind.”

I close the small space between our lips and cover his lips with mine. He groans and grips my hip. I whimper and fist his tee. The kiss is different, more heated from both sides. It would usually be at this point where I would pull away, but I don’t want to. A sudden urge has overtaken me, and I want more. I am not sure how far my body and mind will allow me to go because I am still nervous about getting intimate with someone since the last hands that touched me were cruel.

I need to try and stop my past letting me haunt me, or I will end up spending the rest of my life alone. My ex took enough from me; he shouldn’t be able to take anymore. I push all the thoughts of my ex to the back of my mind because he isn’t worth thinking about.

I part from Conrad’s lips, breathless.

“Sorry, I went too far, didn’t I?” he sighs.

I shake my head, “No. I just needed a second to catch my breath.”

Conrad goes to speak, but I don’t give him the chance. I push him onto his back and climb on top of him, straddling his hips and crashing my lips down on his. Conrad gasps into the kiss. I don’t think he was expecting me to do this. I smirk against his lips.

His hand run down my back, over my ass and lands on my thighs. The kiss is quick to become heated again. Everything else has vanished from my mind; the only things I can think of are how good his lips and his touch feel. I slide my hand under his tee, dancing my fingers over his bare chest and stomach. He moans, and his muscles flex under my fingertips.

I back away from his lips and kiss down his jawline and onto his neck.

“Fuck.” He breathes out.

Hmm, I guess those are sensitive spots for him. In one swift movement, Conrad has me on my back against the mattress. He towers over me.

“What are you doing to me, beautiful?” he pants.

“What does it seem like?” I laugh.

He growls and presses his lips back to mine. I whimper and snake my legs around him, pulling his body closer to mine. I fist the bottom of his tee and bring it over his head. Conrad lifts his arms to let me remove it, and I drop it on the floor. I trace my nails down his back, and he tenses under my touch again. I am still surprised at the effect I can have on him.

“Can I take this off?” he whispers, pointing to his tee that covers my body.

“Yes, but only if you promise me one thing,” I ask nervously.

“Anything.”

“You will notice some marks on my thighs. Please don’t stare, touch or ask me any questions about them. Not yet. I am not ready to talk about it.” I sigh.

I hope my words don’t ruin the mood, but I wanted to warn him rather than see his reaction when he saw them. They are hard to miss.

Conrad nods, “I promise.”

He will probably look at them, which is okay because they are easy to notice but as long as he doesn’t stare.

I smile up at him, “Thank you.”

Conrad removes the tee, and it joins the other one on the floor. I am left in only my bra and panties. By the time Conrad’s eyes were on me, I had covered myself up with my arms. I start to panic because it has been so long since I had been this naked in front of a man, and my ex liked to make me feel disgusted with my body once he got what he wanted.

“Maya, please don’t cover up.” He says softly and gently takes my hands away.

“I can’t help it.”

Conrad’s fingers skin over my bare stomach, and I moan loudly, “You have no reason to hide. You are beautiful.”

He dips down and kisses over my ribs and stomach. I close my eyes, whimper and arch up from the bed as his warm breath tickles my skin. His touch and kiss were tender, something I was not used to.

He kisses up my body and between the valley of my breasts. I gasped and opened my eyes to look up at him. He stares down at me with kind eyes and a beautiful smile on his lips.

“I need you to tell me what you want and need. You need to tell me your limits so I don’t go too far.” He says and strokes my cheek.

“I want all of you, but I don’t know if I am ready, no matter how badly I think I am,” I say honestly.

“Okay, then you tell me when to stop, okay? I want you too, more than I have ever wanted anyone, but we go at your pace. If you want to stop, tell me. No questions asked. No trying to change your mind. You can trust me, angel. I promise.” He smiles and kisses me softly.

“Okay. I trust you.” I whisper against his lips.

Trust a word I haven’t used in a long time when it comes to another person.

I may be able to go all the way, but if not, I know I don’t need to worry about the consequences of saying no.
