Chapter 180 - A MIRACLE SILVER WOLF
179. Tamia's POV
"So, since you are slicing me up, does it make up for the fact that you killed your mom and your dad and your baby?" Triz asked me as I was working on her.
I had promised her pain and I meant every single word of it.
I had told her that before At was interred, I would make sure that she had all those cuts in her body and she did.
I wanted to make her feel pain for as long as the pain of my baby's death was still raw in my heart.
"No Triz. I don't blame myself in any way.
You, you are among the likes of Logan who thought that killing my dad, his own father, was okay because I had killed Alana or so he thought.
You are the worst of them all because if you had read those notes from Strina, you already knew that Kola was Logan's birth father and you watched as he killed his own father.
How does that make you feel?
Think you are still better than me?
And, stop talking about my mother as if you know what happened.
Her name is very sacred to come out of such a filthy mouth as yours," I said but contrary to what I had expected, Triz didn't keep quiet.
Since she could not hurt me physically, I knew she had decided to hurt me using her words.
It was difficult to listen to her but I decided to ignore her and pretend that she didn't exist.
She wasn't worth listening to anyway.
"Oh, you can pretend all you want but Kola deserved to die just like everyone else.
Just like Strina was stupid enough to give up a life of luxury for you, Kola was also stupid enough to give up a luxury in the pack and run away with you.
He loved you so much that he was willing to let his wife die for you.
So, yes. I watched him die because I hated him as much as I hated you.
I watched him die because he was stupid enough to be your father.
He deserves that death.
And you, I hate that you are still alive.
I hope you die in the most painful way possible.
I wish nothing but the worst for you.
Oh, I hate you Tamia," she said and as much as I tried to think about it, I couldn't understand why she hated me so much.
"Say what Triz, you could hate me all you want but one thing is clear.
One of us is dying soon and that's not me.
It's you.
So, you are allowed to pour all the bitterness in your heart if that will help you die in peace.
And stop pretending to be better than me.
When you were convincing Logan to kidnap my babies, did you tell him that you knew from the beginning since he was a child that Kola was his father and you watched him make that grave mistake of killing his own father?
Do you tell him that you knew who had killed his sister but kept quiet because of all the hate you had for me?
Did you tell him that you could have helped him run the pack better and get rid of all the traitors because you knew them by names but you chose to keep quiet?
Did you, Triz, Holiest of them all, tell Logan that you watched him blame himself for all the pack was going through while you knew it wasn't his fault?
And then you think you can come here and preach to me about how good you are and how you hate me because of what?
Because of the decisions the adults in my life made and had nothing to do with me?
Or do you think mom came and asked me my opinion on what she was about to do?
Did you think dad consulted me and I chose for mom to die?
Did you think that I was in on it when they chose to run?
So, who is really the devil between us two?
The adult who pretended to be mad for twenty years and watched her pack go to shambles because she was bitter of a child or the child who didn't have any say in her life?
My only mistake was being born a royal in an era where the world was full of selfish people like you.
So, don't think that you can come here and try to guilt trip me into making me feel bad about myself.
Not today Triz.
Not today!" I finished and I was panting by the time I was done.
She had me so worked up that I wanted to strangle her to death but I knew that was what she wanted.
She wanted me to kill her so that she could feel better that she had made me kill her faster than had promised her.
It wasn't going to happen.
She didn't say anything else.
I guess I had touched a nerve and that made her shut up.
She had made me angry and I wanted to make her cry and scream.
Those screams of pain were like music to my wounded soul.
There was a big wound in my soul due to At's death and Triz's screams were somehow therapeutic.
I knew this wasn't the person I was but I needed to do this if I needed to live forward.
Also, I wanted this to serve as a warning to others who might have thought that they could play with my babies and my emotions.
I wanted news about the torture Triz was going through to be aired everywhere in all social media and mainstream media houses so as to deter any other wolf or person who might have thought of coming for me.
I would be a very fierce mother protecting her cubs.
I would make sure that there won't be a repeat of what happened with Triz anymore.
I wouldn't let anyone in the palace if that person wasn't family.
The only two people we allowed were Kaye and Gabriel and Gabriel stayed with the betas in the dorm.
I couldn’t allow him in the palace near the children after everything he had also done to his sister.
He was a bad one and my advice to Kaye was to keep him on a leash so that she could monitor everything he does.
“Even if you have to listen in even when he is taking a dump or a bath, do it.
I have learned that once a traitor, always a traitor.
There is no way someone can just change out of the blue.
So be fierce in your rule.
I am not telling you how to run your pack, I know you can do that just fine, I just want you to be wary of Gabriel.
He betrayed you once and there is no reason for him not to do it a second time.
So, be very careful,” I said and she hugged me.
“Thank you for always having my back.
You are grieving and yet still care about me.
Thank you,” she said as she held me.
If I could help a sister through my own experiences, then I would be glad to do so.
I tortured Triz in all ways.
After cutting her, I would clean her wounds out with salty water, hydrogen peroxide, pepper water and even a weak acid depending on my mood.
I would let her in pain for a few days and then heal her and start again.
I hoped that nature understood why I was doing what I was doing.
With At buried and life going back to normal, it didn’t mean that I did not miss him.
It didn’t mean that I had forgotten what I had promised him.
I had promised him that his dad and I would make his killers pay.
And that was a promise I was willing to keep.
In fact, more than willing.
It was Gabriel who talked to Logan and he told us how remorseful Logan was.
“He didn’t intend for Tamia’s baby to die because he loves her.
He didn’t think that it would turn out that way.
It was Triz who talked him into everything and he fell for it like an idiot.
I wish I could help him but after everything he has done, all I can wish for is a speedy death,” he said and I didn’t say anything.
If he thought a few tears from Logan would touch me, he was very mistaken.
Like I had already said, what was done was done and I was just weeding out the bad ones from my garden.
I am sure both Logan and Triz knew the consequences of their actions in case their mission failed.
They were now enjoying the fruits.
They were bitter fruits because those were the actions they had planted.
