Chapter 150
Chapter 150
Patrick clapped his hands again.
The bodyguards who had just escorted the men upstairs came back immediately and lined up behind Patrick.
Patrick glanced back at them, then looked at Rowan with a serious expression. "Ms. Blair, I'm giving you two options. First, you pick two of my men standing behind me and take care of them right in front of me. Second, you get on your knees right here and take care of me. And don't worry, I won't make you do it for nothing. Either way, I'll give the Blair family a chance to work with us."
Rowan's eyes burned with hatred as she said slowly, word by word, "And what if I choose neither?"
Patrick burst out laughing. "Neither? Then I'll choose a third option for you. You see all those men behind me? If I let every single one of them keep you company, do you really think you'd walk out of here alive today?"
Rowan said firmly, "You wouldn't dare touch me."
Patrick let out a cold laugh. "Touch you? Looks like you have a short memory. I already made it very clear — the Blair family is nothing to me, let alone you alone. Even if I did something to you today, does the Blair family really have the nerve to come after the Tilden family? The Garcia family, one of the three great earls of Novaria, trembles when they see me. So where does the Blair family stand compared to the Garcia family?"
---
Just as Rowan had no idea how to respond, Patrick suddenly stood up and said coldly, "Rowan, this is your last chance. Which option are you choosing?"
Rowan's face had gone pale, and she looked completely helpless.
At that moment, William, who had been standing quietly to the side this whole time, stepped forward and placed himself in front of Rowan.
He didn't bother with Patrick right away. Instead, he took Rowan's hand and led her over to a single armchair nearby.
He glanced down at the mess of things on the chair, then gestured to one of the bodyguards standing behind Patrick.
The bodyguard looked over at Patrick.
Patrick gave a cold smirk and said casually, "Go see what he wants."
The bodyguard walked over to face William.
The next second, William moved — he slapped the bodyguard hard across the face, then grabbed him by the collar with his right hand and tore his suit jacket clean in half.
As the bodyguard hit the floor, William calmly laid the torn jacket over the armchair, then turned to Rowan. "Sit down. This way you won't get dirty."
Rowan was stunned by what William had just done. He'd hit Patrick's man right in front of him — did he actually have a death wish?
Patrick was equally shocked. He stared at the bodyguard lying unconscious on the floor and asked in disbelief, "Kid, are you tired of living?"
William walked toward him steadily.
"You gave Ms. Blair two options. Now I'm giving you two. First, since Ms. Blair wants to work with the Tilden family, you get ready and hand over the Tilden family's biggest planned investment project in Novaria to the Blair family. Second, you can say no — but if you do, I'll let those bodyguards behind you keep you very good company."
Patrick's eyes nearly popped out of his head. He glared furiously, and the glass in his hand dropped and shattered on the floor.
"You're looking to die! You've got a death wish!"
Before the words were even out of his mouth, William suddenly grabbed Patrick by the collar, then with one casual kick, snapped Patrick's left leg in two.
Then William shoved Patrick back onto the sofa and looked at the bodyguards standing behind him. He said clearly and firmly, "Anyone who wants to keep Mr. Tilden company later can step to the left. If nobody wants to, then take care of yourselves now — save yourself the pain of what comes next."
Patrick heard this and let out a furious roar. "Kill him! Kill him now! I want the Blair family wiped out today — and this bastard too!"
Rowan's heart was pounding, her mind completely blank.
At Patrick's order, the bodyguards rushed forward all at once.
But against William's overwhelming strength, they were nothing.
In less than ten seconds, six of the sixteen bodyguards were already dead.
The remaining ten surrounded William but didn't dare take another step forward.
William looked around at them and said coldly, "What? You all want to die too?"
By now, Patrick could see things weren't going his way. In all his years in Georgia, he had never run into anyone as dangerous as William. Watching his men get taken apart one by one, he had no choice but to fall back on his family name to try to intimidate him. "Tell me your name. Who are you? You actually had the nerve to lay a hand on me today. You really think the Tilden family won't come for you tomorrow and—"
William didn't let him finish. He stepped right up in front of Patrick and cut him off. "Don't worry. Even if the Tilden family doesn't come looking for me, I'll go looking for them. But right now, you need to think carefully — are you going to work with the Blair family, or are you going to spend some quality time with those bodyguards you have left?"
Patrick shook with rage and shouted, "Don't even think—"
The words barely left his mouth before William raised his foot and brought it straight down onto Patrick's right foot.
The next second, the searing pain of breaking bones knocked Patrick out cold.
William turned to Rowan and said calmly, "You can close your eyes now."
Rowan's lips wouldn't stop trembling.
This was Patrick.
She never imagined William would beat him like this.
If the Tilden family found out, not only would William be finished — she and the entire Blair family would probably be wiped out too.
A wave of overwhelming fear spread through Rowan.
But things had already gone this far. She knew there was no walking it back.
"Mr. Brown, wasn't this a little... reckless?" Rowan asked, her voice shaking.
William's expression didn't change at all. He said calmly, "It's fine. Trust me — the Tilden family won't lay a finger on either of us."
Rowan said quietly, "But what about the Blair family?"
William answered without hesitation. "If the Tilden family ever tries to go after the Blair family, I'll make sure the Tilden family disappears from America completely."
His voice was quiet, but the words hit like a thunderclap.
Rowan could barely believe what she was hearing.
