Chapter 5

Paige POV

“Easy,” someone squeezed his shoulder, “Remember Miguel, we don't kill women and children,” the man stepped into the room, he must be the one in charge.

The closer he got, the clearer I could see his face, who is this man, I thought. With eyes darker than sin, it blazed with fearlessness, watching me as a predator would before it attacks its prey. Hanging from his lips was a lit brown cigar, the smoke escaping from the corner of his mouth and nostrils. Dragging the chair behind him, he twirled it around, sitting on it, his hands hanging over the backrest, staring up at me,

“What's your name?”

“I— I don't have a name,”

His eyes never left mine, I could tell he was curious about me and why Morris kept me tied up like an animal, but I refuse to be kept a prisoner for another gang, so I won't say anything, I rather die.

“And what do we have here,” another man whistles entering the room, followed by a group of men,

“This one is pretty boss, can we keep it?” He joked along with his colleagues,

Pulling out a golden Glock from under his shirt, he turned around shooting the man in the head, whimpering, I forced my eyes shut, looking away “Anyone else has something to say?” His eyes met my stares,

But no one dared to say anything, instead, they kept their eyes fixed to the ground, they were afraid of him.

Did he do that for me? Who is this man?

“Turn this entire place upside down, look for clues, anything will do... No matter how small it is,”

“I am nobody... I promise I won't say anything,” my voice trembled,

“Yeah, you see... I want to believe you, but why would Morris keep you here if you're harmless as you look,”

Which reminds me, where is Morris, I thought.

“What— what did you do... To Morris?”

Standing from the chair, he trailed the tip of his gun between my legs, up to my core. My lips parted, whimpering due to the warmness from the muzzle tingled my bud, sending chills of excitement up my spine. I should be offended by his actions, but I wasn't, I was curious about what he was going to do next.

“You're a virgin... Which tells me you weren't one of his women or did any of his men touch you,” he retreated his gun, placing it back under his shirt, “That means you served some other purpose here, and I will find out what it is,”

“Get me down, and I promise we will have more than a conversation,” I hissed through gritted teeth,

Looking over his shoulder, he signaled to Miguel with his fingers. Stepping back he watched as Miguel tipped up, flicking the latch on the chains, snapping it open. Collapsing to the ground, I winced in pain, staring up at this stranger.

“Miguel... Give us a moment,” he whispered,

“Go ahead,” he continued, “You said you wanted to show me something,”

I did say that, but for it to work, I must act fast before any one of his cronies gets back. Standing to my feet, I approached him slowly, my body was the least attractive in the room, but that was the last option I have up my sleeve, seduction.

“What if we come to an agreement, I give you what you want, and you give me my freedom,”

“And what is it I want?”

Slithering my hand around his neck, I ogled down on his lips, while the other hand searched for the gun on his hip,

“You tell me,” I pulled out the firearm, aiming it at him, but he didn't look alarmed by it

“Now listen to me closely,” I whispered, “You are going to—”

Twisting my wrist, he grabbed my neck, pinning me against the wall.

Licking his lips, he chuckled lowly,

“You're ambitious, brave, and you seem like a smart girl, but I can tell that you don't know who I am because if you did, you wouldn't have tried that,”

Swallowing hard, I grew nervous, he did say he doesn't hurt women and children, but maybe my attempt would push him to make an exception.

“I—I am sorry... Please don't hurt me,” I whispered.

“We have found— something,” I heard one of his men entered the room,

Snatching his gun from my hold, he releases me, walking towards the confused juvenile at the doorway. Rubbing my bruised wrist I glanced at them sharing low whispers, staring down at something they hid between their bodies, but I couldn't see what it was.

“Get the others, tell them we are leaving,” I heard him mutter,

“And I am guessing that you're not leaving me behind?”

“Not a chance,”

“Well can I go and at least search for clothes... Wouldn't want to send the wrong message to the rest of your crew now, would we?”

Unbuttoning his shirt slowly, his eyes were fixed on me while mine was solely lost in his torso, each muscle was perfectly carved into abs, sweat glistening under the light, sporting his tattoos well,

“Are you going to take it or not?”

“Wh—what?” I stuttered, he was giving me his shirt to wear,

“Oh, sure... Thanks... You're going to walk out of here like that... Shirtless,” I swallowed hard,

“Do you prefer to be in my position? Because I will gladly switch and take my shirt back,”

I said nothing further because he was right, I would rather not to arrived anywhere he is taking me, naked. Pushing my hands into the long sleeves, I buttoned it slowly, staring at how far down it was, it was right under my ass, but it's better than nothing.

“Boss, you summoned us?”

“Yeah, I will be driving with Miguel, I am leaving this young lady here in your hands,” he mumbled leaving the room “Come with me,”

Asking no questions, I walked with him, down the halls and outside. I saw none of Morris's men, if they were dead I saw no bodies, whoever these men were, they drove Morris into hiding. Hopping into the back of a car, I shifted uncomfortably in the seat,

“Are you are ok little one?” A man next to me question,

“Not really,”

“Here... Let me help you relax,”

“What do you—”

With the back of his gun, he knocked me out cold.

Gasping for air, I dragged my body upwards, sitting up. Rubbing my eyes, I could feel the bandage on my forehead, and I was having a slight concussion,

“Sorry about that, my men... They don't know how to treat a woman,” he stood with folded hands at the doorway,

“And you do?”

“Well... I  gave you my shirt, a warm bed... fresh clothes... no worries the maids cleaned you up,”

“Where am I?” I looked around, “I know who you are... And I knew your mother,”

Looking away, I said nothing, I knew that he would have found out who I was sooner or later, I guess now I have to pay him for my mother's debts, “I will leave you so can get your rest,”

“My name is Paige,” I whispered,

“Well nice to meet you, Paige... My name is Crown, Arlington Crown.”

Oh my God, it was him... The mafia of all mafias.
