Chapter 97: Bonds and New Beginnings
Vishiea’s POV
Months had passed since we left the palace. Though there’s a part of me that I missed being there. Cassie and Liliane indeed came with me. But they always visited the palace, while I never planned to come with them.
“Vishiea!” He called my name. I smiled and waved my hands and ran toward them.
I laughed when he stumbled on the ground. Liliane laughed before helping him.
“Be careful,” Liliane uttered and I chuckled because of his clumsiness.
He held his neck in embarrassment. When I came here, Aunt Kennedy told me that I have a great friend. But he was unconscious that day.
They didn’t tell me the reason why. Aunt Kennedy told me that they were like siblings. And I’m happy to know that I have someone with me in this place.
I also learned that a lone rich lycan adopted me, that’s why I am here. She explained to me everything.
Mother Kiara found me in the forest and adopted me, until she died because of disease. It’s just so sad that she already died. But I am thankful and happy that I found a family like her.
If it weren’t for her maybe I would no longer be here. She also told me how grateful Mother Kiara was to have me, and I was her most precious daughter.
I was shocked when she told me that everything we have right now is mine because I am the only heir of Mother Kiara. The place is huge and we manage business.
Mother Kiara treated me and him as her children.
“Stop laughing,” he uttered. I hid my smile.
I am happy that days after we went back to this place he woke up. At first I was shocked because of his reaction when he saw me. But then Aunt Kennedy talked to him. I don’t know about their conversation but it’s awkward that they don’t want me to join their conversation.
But then I found out that his name was Dylan. He’s kind and he treats me like his own sister.
One thing I couldn’t forget was when I was going out to talk to him. I saw him and Liliane in the room.
I was shocked because they were kissing that night. Surprise was also written on their faces when they saw me, and they immediately explained everything to me.
It turned out that when we arrived here and when he finally recovered he already felt something strange. Until he met Liliane and things became weirder for the both of them.
They hid it from us at first but then they revealed that they were actually mated to each other.
I was so happy for both of them. I could see how happy Liliane was that she found her mate.
They were sweet to each other and Liliane also decided to stay here with Dylan.
Sometimes I always ask myself. Do I also have a mate just like them?
“We have news for all of you,” Liliane said. Dylan placed his arm around her waist and they really looked cute together.
Aunt Kennedy, Uncle Mark, Cassie are here together with Auntie’s friends as we celebrate Uncle Mark’s birthday.
We stared at them and they were both so happy.
“You’re making a suspense,” Cassie chuckled. We all laughed at her.
I looked at Aunt Kennedy. Her tummy is now getting bigger and I am excited for them. I am so happy for both of them.
Since we arrived here she has always taken good care of me even though she’s already pregnant. She always teaches me things I didn’t know and I am so grateful for them.
Maybe this is actually the life that I wanted. Maybe I can’t remember the past but I am ultra contented with the life I have right now. Though I feel something’s missing, with them I am more than grateful and happy.
“Liliane is pregnant!” Dylan told us. Our eyes widened in shock. They both giggled and Cassie and I hurriedly hugged them both.
“Congratulations! Oh my gosh Liliane! You did it!” Cassie told her and we all laughed.
“Congratulations to both of you,” I uttered while hugging them. They were so happy and everyone started to congratulate them.
“Congratulations Dylan and Liliane on building a new home,” Uncle Mark said.
“It seems like there’s two preggy now,” Aunt Kennedy laughed.
We all smiled and I am so happy for both of them. They deserve these blessings.
I know Liliane is happy and I know Dylan would be a great and responsible husband and father to his family.
“When will you find your mate?” I teased Cassie but she just smirked at me. My forehead knotted and it seemed like she was hiding something from us.
“I also have a big revelation for all of you,” she uttered and our attention shifted to her. She smiled widely while staring at the man at the back.
My eyes widened. That’s the guy we met at the Khatri that day. Don’t tell me?
“I want to introduce my mate. Lucian,” we were all surprised and Lucian chuckled and stood up walking toward Cassie.
He suddenly kissed her in front of us. We all shouted and cheered for them.
I am so happy for them.
“Congratulations to both of you. I am so happy,” I said and hugged Cassie.
They deserve to be happy.
“Thank you, Vishiea,” Cassie uttered. We continued the party. I watched them dance with their partner. Then Aunt Kennedy suddenly sat beside me.
“Are you happy?” She asked. I nodded my head and smiled.
“I am more than happy, Aunt Kennedy. I am happy seeing my friends smiling,” I told her. Though deep inside I wanted to ask her about the things that are bugging me sometimes but I couldn’t.
Maybe it’s not that important and maybe I am just being paranoid.
My life is great now and I am thankful that I am surrounded with real people.
“Vishiea, if something is bugging you, can you just talk to me okay? I am always here, willing to listen and talk to you.” She said and hugged me. I hugged her back and smiled.
“Thank you for everything, Aunt Kennedy. Don’t worry, I am totally fine,” I told her and watched my friends dancing with their mates.
