That dead threat is something I want to know who's trying to threaten my life.

I will not stop until I find out who is really trying to kill me. But I have a feeling that this is connected to the past. I just stayed in the Palace for days to help the king and I know that letter is connected to that.

Does the former king begin this? Can't he just be thankful that I am helping his son?

There's a big possibility that it's him.

“Anastasia, do you have any idea who did that?” Cynthia asked me. I looked at her and shook my head.

“No, but Peter is already investigating it.” I told her she nodded her head and went back to work. I let out a deep sigh.

Then Dylan entered the room. He glanced at me. He's a little bit distant after we talk and I am not used to him being like that but maybe it is better to be like this than giving him false hope.

Dylan has been my closest to anyone. I treated him as my brother but I never expected that he would like me.

I stared at my mother Kiara's picture.

Mother, I miss you. I’m in a very challenging moment in my life right now and I wish you were here advising me, helping me. I miss you mother, you're always in my heart and I know you're always here watching me in every step.

I don't know what is going to happen next but one thing I am sure about is that I will not let anyone hurt me.

Cullen's are hard to defeat and I know when you're still here you won't let anyone treat us like this.

“The guard told me that it's indeed a young boy who gave the letter. I tried to locate that boy's whereabouts but then he was found dead in the forest” Dylan said. I immediately reacted.

Which means they only used the boy to deliver the message and killed him after doing that to prevent any witness of their actions.

“Do you know the family of the boy?” I asked Dylan, unfortunately he shook his head.

“The truth is, his family was murdered and it seems like it's also because of the letter. They killed the whole family to prevent them from telling what they have witnessed” Dylan answered. I closed my fist after hearing the news.

Whoever did this I know it's not a joke anymore. This is a serious crime.

“The family is living at the Gatham Anastasia and it's near our place” Dylan once said. I was speechless. Maybe that's the reason why they killed the whole family because they know that anyone close to our area is loyal.

I will never forgive whoever did this to them.

“I’m scared, what if they also hurt you Anastasia? Us who are close to you” Cynthia started to panic. Yet she was right.

I stared at them while trying to remember anything who hated me too much.

Fuck! I need to call for a meeting. I can't just let this happen to us.

The door then opened and Peter entered.

“Lady Anastasia” he uttered my name and walked through my table and I know he already found something.

“Have you found who gave the letter to the boy and finally killed his entire family?” I asked him. He wasn't surprised when I said that. He nodded his head and gave me a paper.

I opened it and was surprised to find out it was her. Her face was sketched on it.

“An old man saw everything that night. She sketches the face. He witnessed how the entire family was brutally killed by her and her men. She was also the one who gave the letter to the kid, Lady Anastasia. They are maybe planning to kill you.” He uttered.

Fuck! I already have a bad feeling that it's her. But I didn't expect that she could kill her own kind.

Rachelle, you are no different from the demon. I will make sure you’ll regret doing this.

You are blinded by your jealousy and even went at this point. You wish for this and I will give what you wanted.

“I already ordered the guards to not let anyone enter here. I also talk to our fighters to guard the place and report any suspicious activities. Lady Anastasia you are their target and according to what they did to those families I know they are not easy to deal with.” Peter told me.

I know and I am well aware of it.

“We should do something. We can't let them hurt Anastasia. Dylan said and even he is now alerted by what happened.

“He was right, we need to protect her,” Cynthia agreed.

“It's Rachelle all along who's behind this.” I uttered. So, she wants to play a game. That letter she received that day came from me. It was just a simple dead threat and she got scared and now she's trying to do the same thing to me?

Did she regret everything.or she's revenging because the king no longer had his eyes for her? Is she taking all her madness on me?

“Is she the king's Fiancée? Why is she doing this to you? That bitch!” Cynthia cursed her and I can see the irritation written on her face.

“This is all because of the king, isn't it?” Dylan asked Peter.

“There's a big possibility that it's all because of the king. But Lady Anastasia you have to be careful “ Peter worriedly said. I nod my head.

“We have to do something, “ Cynthia uttered. I know they are only worried about me but this is not their fight. I don't want them to get involved with this.

I stood up and went outside. Peter followed me as I was walking in the hallway.

“We have to strike first. I won't let that bitch get what she wanted.” I told him. I know he already knows what I mean.

“Got it. We have to plan carefully on how to defeat her,” Peter uttered.
