Vishiea’s POV
Lucian’s condition became worse. As the doctors were trying to treat him however he kept on ignoring them. He always gets mad when the doctors are giving him medicine that could cure him. That's why Adam always calls me for help.
“Vishea… no… lady Anastasia?” I was walking through the hallway when I heard someone’s familiar voice.
I turned to find Cassie. Her eyes widened and a smile written on her face. She immediately approached me and I was surprised when she hugged me tight.
“It's you, I missed you.” She uttered while hugging me. I smiled and hugged her back.
“It’s been a long time,” I told her. I am grateful that they didn't forget me and still treated me as a friend.
“Anastasia?!” Both of us looked at the one who shouted my name. She couldn't believe that I am here right now.
She hurriedly ran towards me and hugged me tight. Cassie laughed at her. She’s hugging me so tightly that it's even hard to breathe.
“We miss you. Cassie and I kept on talking about you. After that night a lot of things happened in the palace.” She uttered as she separated from the hugs.
My forehead knotted because of what I heard. Until now I haven't heard what happened that night.
They both grabbed my hand and we walked towards the chair. We sat there and Cassie let out a deep sigh.
“Did you know that Rachelle was exiled?” Cassie said. I already heard it but I pretended to not know. Liliane nodded her head repeatedly.
“She was right because she used dark magic on the king,” Liliane continued. Adam already told me about these things and I’m sure the palace is well aware of what happened.
“Really? I didn't know about it.” I told them. They looked at me confused. Cassie pouted her lips and Liliane just stared at me.
“You're not even surprised. Well, of course you wouldn't know because you were not here.” Liliane said. She was right. That's why I acted as if I didn't know anything.
Rachelle must be out of here now but the question is where is she now? Where did she go?
There's a lot of questions I want to ask. I am not yet convinced that she did that because of jealousy.
Rachelle is not someone who would ruin her image for one mistake.
She even tried to get Darius from me.
“You know, I am no longer interested in what is happening here. I already have my own life and that's what matters now” I told them. They both look at each other.
“Then why are you here?” Cassie asked me. I was silent for the meantime. I do want them to know that the king summoned me to be here. What if the former king finds out about this? I need to find an excuse.
“I am here because I need to finish something and I can't tell you for now” I lied to them. I’m sorry for keeping on lying to you guys.
“Really? We have never heard from you since you left. We miss you.” Lilaine said. I smiled, they still remember the friendship we had.
“About earlier. What exactly did you mean when I left that night? What happened?” I asked them if they both looked at each other.
Is there something I need to know? What exactly happened that night? I left that night when Peter came to fetch me for my mother's funeral.
“Well, everyone was surprised because of what they found out. That you're not only Anastasia but you're also Vishea the King Mate. And about that night after you left the Ball ended. The former king and queen talked about what happened and Rachelle was furious, “ Cassie said. My forehead knotted while looking at her.
I thought that they still continued the ball after I left. Then I remember Rachelle was furious that night she followed me through the restroom.
She’s the reason why my identity was revealed. She's really willing to do everything just to ruin me. She succeeded but now she was exiled because of her stupidity.
“She was right. Everyone was forced to go home. The guest also left the palace that night. And you know what happened that night too?” Liliane looked at me. I suddenly got curious about the next words she would say.
Cassie nodded her head. “The king and the former king had a huge fight that night. Though none of us heard the commotion, the council knows what happened that night. After the commotion, Rachelle and the king were also fighting. “ She continued while I was listening to her.
I thought Darius always obeyed his father then what exactly happened that night? Darius is known as a good son for always doing what his father wanted him to do.
He's his dad's puppet but that night seemed different.
“That's exactly what happened. The king didn't let Rachelle stay in his place that night and was forced to stay in the maids room.” Cassie said. I didn't expect that to happen.
Darius likes Rachelle because if he didn't like him he could endure spending those years with her.
We talked about a lot of things. And I learned that the king and Queen left the palace that night. I thought they stayed here for good.
It's still hard for me to believe what happened to them but I think Rachelle deserves everything that happened to her.
She once ruined and kept on ruining me but now she ended up being exiled in the palace.
I was about to speak when I saw the palace guard walking toward us. I immediately stood up, preventing them from knowing that I am here for the king.
“I forgot I have to talk to someone. I’ll be going now.”I smiled at them and they both held my hand.
“You should visit us, Anastasia. You're always welcome to our house. We’ll wait for you. We have a lot of things to talk to,” Cassie said. I nodded my head and we hugged before I left.
I hurriedly walked away from them.
“Lady Anastasia, The king doesn't want to eat” Adam informed me. That shit. Why is he so hard headed?
“Alright. I’ll go there now” I told him he bowed his head and I rushed through his room.
I opened the door and he was there lying on his bed.
He felt someone's presence and that is why he looked in my direction.
I grabbed the plate on the maid's hand and told them to leave. After they closed the door I went beside his bed and sat on the chair.
“You should eat,” I told him. I offered him the food but he just looked at me. Since I came here last night when I am always here in his room he just kept on staring at me.
“Vishiea, tell me, why are you doing this?” he asked me. I placed the plate on the table and looked at him.
Why are you asking that now Darius? You should be the one to answer your question. I am here because I still have conscience.
“Are you going to eat or not?” I asked him. He let out a deep sigh.
“I am happy because you're here for me” he said without even answering my question.
He seemed to misinterpret my presence. I stood up and turned around.
“Don’t expect anything. I am not here for you.” I told him clearly. Though half of it was a lie.
