Chapter 74 — Always
Emily's POV
Without opening my eyes, I groaned when I realized that I had to go to school.
Why couldn't school be on evenings?
I put a pillow on my face and made a weird noise that was somewhere in between a groan and a noise a menstruating monkey would make.
I threw the pillow away and opened my eyes, staring at the familiar, boring ceiling above me.
I rubbed my eyes and yawned before stretching my arms and almost screaming when I noticed another presence in my room.
What the hell?
Noah was standing against the wall with arms crossed over his chest and an amused smirk plastered on his face.
"What are you doing here?" I asked and took the blanket on my bare legs.
Yay to my shirt that had decided to ride up my belly.
He smirked even wider when he took in my horrified expressions and unfolded his arms before tucking in his pockets.
"Good morning to you too girlfriend," he said and stepped closer to my bed.
The butterflies in my belly did a weird dance at that word and I struggled to keep up an annoyed expression.
"How did you get in?" I asked and he started walking towards my bed, making me sink further into the bed.
"You left the window open," he shrugged as if it was no big deal to sneak inside your girlfriend's room at seven in the morning.
Girlfriend.
"And you decided to sneak in?" I squeaked as he jumped on the bed.
He didn't reply but made his way over to me that I was pinned against the bed, with him hovering upon me, trapping me in between the bed and his giant-like body.
"Don't act as if you wouldn't love to wake up to this beautiful face every morning," his smirk grew wider if that was even possible that had me on my knees.
"W-what are yo....I....Noah," I fumbled over my words that made him chuckle.
"What am I?" he brushed his lips over mine in a teasing manner and my mind went haywire and my body was too hot that it put the sun to shame.
"D-doing," I breathed.
"Tell me to stop," he said and bit my earlobe teasingly.
Oh, God...
His mouth came down to my neck and he trailed a series of passionate kisses before sucking on a spot right above my chest.
I moaned out his name and started biting my lip furiously to keep myself from making any more embarrassing noises.
"You want me to stop?" Noah breathed on my skin and I squirmed underneath him, making his eyes turn into an emotion that could only be deciphered as lust.
"Noah..." I moaned as he dipped his head in my neck and started sucking, surely leaving plenty of hickies for the world to see.
"Don't say my name like that," he groaned against my skin, and boy did I feel my uterus jump out at his croaked voice.
He brought his head up and captured my lips with his, kissing me hungrily. Almost immediately, I responded to his kiss and brought my hands up to his neck, tugging at his hair and making him moan inside my mouth.
We both pulled apart, panting heavily. Noah rested his forehead against mine and I closed my eyes.
Never in my life had I felt this whole before than I did with Noah.
"You don't know the things you do to me," Noah said, breathless and closed his eyes too.
Tell me about it.
I didn't reply and instead ran my hand through his hair, making him smile.
Noah laid down beside me and subconsciously took my hand in his, stroking it in the process.
His eyes were still closed but it seemed as if he was thinking about something.
"Why did Aaron try to rape you?" he bluntly asked and I choked on my saliva.
I broke into fits of cough and Noah eyed me with concern in his expressions.
"You okay?" he asked and as he pulled me to his chest.
I rested my head right above his heart and sighed in content.
"He was my boyfriend," I said after some moments of silence.
"I figured," Noah said and I lifted my head up to meet his gaze.
I had expected Noah to react, something, anger, hurt, disappointment but his eyes were normal, just like they were moments ago, just a little bit curious indeed.
"You're not angry?" I asked.
"You were never something I owned Cupcake. So I have no right to be angry at you. Yeah, a bit hurt but that's alright," he waved it off and gave me a sad smile that made my stomach clench with regret.
Why did I not see it earlier?
I rested my head back on his chest and wrapped my arms around his torso, "He wanted to kiss me. Perhaps, something more than a kiss, I don't know." I shrugged and answered his question, still laying with my eyes closed.
"Why didn't you let him kiss you that night?" Noah asked and my breathing became shallow.
How was I supposed to tell him that I never let him kiss me?
"I...." I trailed off and Noah lifted my head up with his hands, making me look at him.
"What is it?" he asked and I averted my gaze downwards.
"I never let him kiss me," I said and I felt Noah's body tense up against mine.
"You never kissed Aaron?" Noah asked with disbelief in his voice that kind of triggered me.
"Is it that hard to believe?" I brought my eyes up to meet his only to see an expression I wasn't able to read.
"No, I...I mean that guy was your boyfriend yet you never kissed him."
"No, not on the lips," I said and brushed the lock of hair from his forehead with my thumb.
"Yet you let me kiss you that day," Noah said in a smug voice and my face heated up in embarrassment.
Why did he have to do that to me?
"I....." I trailed off and hid my face in his chest, only for it to be lifted up by his hands again.
"Tell me why did you kiss me back that day?" Noah looked straight into my eyes and I lowered my gaze to his chest.
Wrong move "Because..."
"Because what?"
"becauseihadfeelingsforyou," I blurted out but Noah didn't seem to be convinced.
"What did you say? Couldn't quite get that," he smirked and I smacked his chest before burying my head in the hollow of his neck.
"Lunatic," I muttered under my breath and Noah chuckled, wrapping me in his arms again.
"Thank you," he said and kissed the crown of my head, taking a deep sigh.
"For?"
"For being mine," he mumbled and I felt fireworks erupt in my stomach.
It amazed me how even some words by some certain people can have such an effect on you.
"Always," I said and kissed his neck.
"Always?"
"Always."
**********
Noah parked his bike in the parking lot and we started walking towards the school entrance.
I had practically begged Noah to set me free so we can go to school. Unlike Noah, I had to study in order to get good grades. But he on the other side, I didn't even know how passed each subject with straight A's.
As we entered the school gates, Noah draped an arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him.
"Can't keep your hands to yourself?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Not when I have such a beautiful girlfriend," he shrugged and winked, making me smile.
Girlfriend.
I was still getting used to this term. Sure I had been Aaron's girlfriend for more than two weeks but sadly it was something I didn't think much about and honestly took it for granted.
I had realized that it was totally my fault to agree to his proposal but I just couldn't bring myself to break his heart when he asked me out.
Not when he did all the arrangements for me.
I didn't realize that we had reached my locker and that meant that Noah and I had to part ways from here as our first period wasn't together.
An unwanted frown formed on my lips.
God, I sounded like an obsessed girlfriend. I was getting more and more pathetic.
Noah brought both of his hands around my waist and pulled me to his chest, making me squeal. Without much of another word, he crashed his lips onto mine and I swear I heard gasps all around the corridor.
Funny thing was that I didn't even care.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and responded to his kiss. He smiled against my lips and tilted my head sideways to deepen the kiss.
I knew the hallways were crowded with students and I knew that they were shamelessly staring at us, some even making videos to upload it on the school page but at this point in my life, I had really stopped caring about such things.
Being with Noah had changed me.
Changed me for good.
