Liam’s Pov The sound of fists colliding and growls echoing through the air pulled me closer. I hid in a corner watching Noah and Connor hit each other, their fists moved with the aim to kill each other. I saw it and I thought leaving Connor behind would get him there quickly to have killed Noah. The rain was still pouring, and every sound of their chaotic move was unrepresented. Connor’ s steps were sharp and he took his moves to a one steady act. I couldn't believe he still had it in him. He was acting all soft and lost his feistiness. One of the reasons I was able to ditch him. But Noah fought like a man with nothing to lose. His demeanor had nothing to show forth and everything he did was nothing to die for. I really wish I could help Connor in giving him a hit too, but Connor's moves were awesome. He probably hasn't lost his taste. I needed to find Tiara and it was the least I could do after watching a whole wrestling show. Slipping away from the fight, I made my way deeper into the ruins. My heart raced as I thought of her, trapped somewhere in this nightmare. Tiara would be fine, but as her mate, I was supposed to stand by her and hold her in my arms. The guards were scattered throughout, lifeless puppets serving Noah’s twisted whims. He was a maniac, how didn't they see that!? After searching around for so long, fighting off the guards around and screaming her name, I found her cell. She looked so weak but still strong, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw me. “Liam!” she gasped. I didn’t hesitate. I charged at the guards, fighting them off with everything I had. These men had nothing left to fight for but their twisted loyalty to Noah. The way they moved their swords was sloppy, and they missed every hit. We continued fighting them off and I thought it was a waste of time with them. Finally, the last guard dropped dead, and fell to the ground. I took the keys from his pockets and opened up the cell. It was smelly and I wondered how they would keep a human in an animal cell. That bastard!!! Tiara stumbled into my arms, tears streaming down her face. “You came,” she whispered with a trembling voice. I held her close, my hand brushing her hair. “Of course, I did.” “I didn't realize you'd be so fast.” “I left Connor on the way here. I definitely had to show up quicker since you told me what happened.” I pressed her head softly on my chest, she must have been so scared. We walked quickly out of the weird looking building. It had everything horrific written on it, it was no surprise Noah chose it as a hiding place. The building was only meant for a living dead person. Taking Tiara in my arms, I had to make sure she was safe before going back to my Luna. Alpha Connor would pick her up anyway, he was going to win the fight with Noah, I just needed to help. Tiara leaned heavily on me, her steps faltering. “I caused the rain,” she said softly. “I had to make sure things went the right way and back on track” I stopped in my tracks, staring at her. “You what?” “I created the illusions Connor saw, the storm... everything, he probably didn't tell you anything” she said. “I thought it would slow Noah down.” I sighed, shaking my head. “We’ll deal with that later. Right now, we need to get you somewhere safe.” The ground beneath us was drying as we moved further away from the ruins. The rain dropped slowly, the clouds began to clear clean. I took her to a hidden path that led back toward the pack’s outskirts. “Stay on this trail,” I told her, my voice firm. “It’ll take you to safety, and I'm sure you'll be fine when it comes to finding the way.” She hugged me tightly, pressing a kiss to my lips. “Thank you, Liam,” Her softness made me smile and I was grateful she was my mate. I watched her until she disappeared from view, then turned back toward the ruins. When I arrived, Noah was taunting Connor. They were still on it. His voice carried over the wreckage, and it was filled with malice. “Funny, isn’t it?” Noah sneered. “No one really wants you, Connor. Not even your precious mate.” Connor growled, his hands clenched into fists, but he didn’t react the way Noah wanted him to. I crept closer, my knife in hand. I wasn’t going to let Noah keep mocking us. With one swift motion, I lunged, striking him in the back. Noah staggered but didn’t fall. He turned to face me, pulling the knife from his body as though it were a splinter. “Do you really think that’s enough to stop me?” he said, laughing maniacally. Blood dripped from the wound, but he didn’t seem to care. Connor’s eyes widened in frustration, and he shouted, “Liam, stop! If we kill him now, we’ll never know where Aria is!” “That’s right. My men already have their orders. If they don’t see me return, they’ll kill her. So, you both can bring it down or rather be foolish” I didn’t care. I couldn’t listen to any more of his twisted words. I struck him again, aiming for his chest, but it was like trying to pierce stone. Noah grabbed my arm and twisted it. I felt so much pain like I hadn't. “You’re a fool, Liam,” Noah said. “Tiara is with me, isn’t she? Even if you kill me, you’ll never be free of what I’ve done.” His words ignited my rage, but before I could strike again, Connor intervened. He struck Noah from behind with another knife, sending him to fall to the ground. Then I saw Aria, she was lying on the floor, weak and trembling, but her eyes burned with a passion I hadn’t seen before. Connor moved to help her, but Aria pushed herself up, her body shaking with rage. She grabbed the knife from Connor’s hand and lunged at Noah. “You pathetic fool!” she screamed, her voice echoed through the ruins. She stabbed him once, then again, and again. Each strike was fueled by years of pain and anger. I could feel it, even Connor couldn't watch her. “Aria, stop!” he shouted, grabbing her wrist. Connor pulled her back, cradling her as she collapsed in his arms. “It’s over,” he whispered with a soft voice. Aria fainted, her body fell numb in Connor’s embrace. I stared at Noah’s lifeless body, blood pooling around him. The storm had finally stopped, and everything that was left was a heavy silence. Connor gave me an expressionless face, and I took it in, he was tired and ready to leave. “We need to get her out of here,” he said. I nodded, wiping the blood from my hands. “Let’s go.”
