Chapter 27: Caught You!
Alex's PoV
What time is it and Tar's sister is still not coming back. I haven't been home yet but I seem to be feeling worse and I also have a bad feeling. A few minutes later while I was standing next to Tar, the door suddenly opened.
"Here you are," I said and sat down on the couch.
"Hmm? Are you waiting for me?" she asked.
"No.. ahmm is there a problem?" I asked suddenly because she seemed to be good at crying.
"Nothing, why?" she asked further.
"You're crying," I frankly said.
"H-ha?! Am I crying?" pretending question then rubbed its eye.
"It's not obvious," I said teasingly.
"All right, I'm leaving.. I still have to finish something," I said and went straight out of that room. I don’t really have anything to finish, I just want to help with the investigation. I first went to school in my car to talk to the guard.
"Good afternoon sir.. why did you pass by? Did you leave anything inside the campus?" he asked because there were only a few people on campus.
"Nothing, I just wanted to ask you something," I said and got out of the car.
"Oh what's that?" he asked.
"Is there a CCTV near the library? The one with the bench nearby?" I asked because I had a hunch that the CCTV of this school captured it.
"Ahh yes there is," he replied and it's seems I come to life.
"But I'm not sure if it was still working on the day of the incident," he added and I felt a little heavier.
"But can I take a look?" I ask and need to confirm it.
"Of course.. I'll just go with you," he said and took a key from the box.
"Bro, you're in charge here, okay? We'll just have to look fir something," he said to his colleague who was writing on the paper.
"All right," his companion replied.
"Let's go," said the guard who would come with me. We went to the control room where all the files were and there was also a monitor room. We went straight to the monitor room and he made a way to see the clip that day.
"Ey that's it," I suddenly said when I saw myself approaching Tar. We even watched Tar leave until he disappeared from the monitor.
"Is there no other cctv sir that will connect?" I asked in desperation.
"There's.. nothing else sir," he just answered so I was now down.
"I'll leave you here sir," he said and left the room. I took this opportunity to investigate from all angles that day. I looked at everything connected to the library and I could see a man in black walking with a bat, he covered his face with a black mask then he disappeared from the monitor.
"Ha! Caught you hairy!" I just said in my mind then copied the clip to my cellphone, when I finished I first turned off the PC then came out right away.
"Hey sir, are you leaving?" the guard asked when he saw me come out of the monitoring room.
"Ah yes, I was just worried that I still have work to do at home," I said and looked at his hand.
"Ah go ahead sir," he just replied and looked at what he was holding.
"This sir? I just remember since I had to put it in the monitoring room," he simply replied.
"Ah is that so? All right, I'm leaving," I said and patted him on the shoulder.
"All right, be careful?" he just said and I turned around after leaving school. I checked my time and and itwas five o'clock, I went straight home to study that clip.
When I got home I went straight to the bedroom then turned on my PC and there I watched. I don't know the face of the man even though I think he's in high school. I watched the clip over and over again until I could finally really remember his face. I left the house late at night and went straight to the police station to report what I saw.
But instead I'll be happy because the good news I brought but it made me more annoyed and my anger just overflowed because I saw the man who beat Tar was sitting. I quickly rushed at him and grabbed him then punched him until I lost strength.
"S-sir sir sir! That's enough! Sir!" the police who saw stopped me.
"YOU STUPID IDIOT SIMPLETON!?!" I shouted angrily.
"YOU'RE A CREMINAL! YOU ALMOST KILLED MY FRIEND!" I shouted furiously then I wish I could have slapped him in but the police held me tighter.
"Sir, that's enough, you can be accused of what you're doing," he said and I didn't know anything about it. I straightened up and looked annoyed at the criminal man on the floor.
"How did you catch him?" I still angry by my question but I try to calm myself down.
"We had a buybust operation earlier and he was one of those arrested there, he was also seen by a policeman who once went to your school to investigate," he replied and I was enlightened by his explanation.
"Who ordered you?!" I rushed here and the policemen on duty responded immediately.
"WHO!?" I was really angry. I don't know why I get angry like this, I can't control my anger.
"You don't know how much longer my friend will wake up you've tripped!" I said and thought about the look of Tar lying on that bed. I turned around then annoyed rubbing my face.
"Hasn't he said anything yet sir?" I annoyingly asked the one who stopped me earlier.
"He still didn't say a word sir when we caught him.. besides, don't worry because we will do everything for him to speak if he really intends to do that," he said and I could relaxed a bit. I could barely breathe.
"All right sir thank you," I replied.
"You can count on us sir," he added and just patted my shoulder. I first looked at the man with a deadly look but he just bent down, I didn't stay long inside and I went to my car.
"Arghhh!" I shouted while I hit the steering wheel. I let out a loud sigh after the car started. I just went straight home because it was already six o'clock, I just ordered my dinner because I was too lazy to cook. I took the bag of my medicines because I think I had beaten that addict too much.
"What kind of face has that bastard? The hardness of his skull is unbelievable haha," I said in my mind and I first cleaned my wound with cotton and applied an alcohol. My wound was very painful as I put it on, although I was able to endure it. After I cleaned it, I added betadine to keep it from getting infected. A few more minutes of waiting, the food I ordered arrived and I ate as well.
