NATHAN

I was done playing games.

They thought that they had won. There were no bigger idiots than them.

They had been sitting in their glass castle as they tightened their little security whom they thought could stop me. They really thought they had it all figured out with their webs of security details around their precious life, thinking they could keep me locked away forever.

A cold, cruel smell slowly curled at the edge of my lips and I leaned back against the chair I was sitting in as I scared the taste of the victory that was already coming to me.

No prison could hold me and no wall could stand against me.

Having escaped from prison, my first mission, no, scratch that, the only thing that had been in my mind was finding the Grahams and talking to them. Hell, all I wanted to do was get to Raina and hold her in my hands.

She was always mine and I wanted to get back what truly belonged to me.

I had monitored both Alexa and Dominic, times where they were apart and then together. The two self-righteous idiots that thought they were so smart had no idea how easy it had been for me to bypass the foolery that they called security. All the money they had spent, all their cameras, and still I was able to slip through their hands like a shadow and had them thinking they had won.

It was beyond pathetic.

Now, I was sitting in one of the dimly lit rooms of an abandoned house, it was a place where no one would think to look or believe someone was in. The air was foggy with dust particles and filled with the slow, rhythmic breathing coming from the body that was lying unconscious on the battered mattress.

Raina.

My beautiful and more than perfect Raina.

I pulled my chair closer to the mattress she was laying on and my heart was pounding with a hunger for her that was so deep that it started making me dizzy. Her hair fell around her head and it made her look as ethereal as an angel, her lashes faulty trembled against her cheeks as she remained still as she slept beautifully. I couldn’t help but be in awe of how stunning she looked even while she was unconscious.

I leaned in closer to her and brushed the few strands of hair that were on her face away as I slowly trailed down her soft skin with my fingers.

Fuck! I had missed her so much.

I slowly bent down and pressed my lips against her in a careful but claiming way. I pretended that she was awake and kissing me back with the same fervor that I was using to kiss her. I allowed myself to believe that we were already where we were meant to be. Far away from evil eyes.

For a moment, I closed my eyes, losing myself in the fantasy I had conjoined in my head and allowed myself to enjoy the moment.

But I was pulled out of it when she stirred.

Slowly, her eyelids fluttered open and the first thing I saw was the confusion swirling in those beautiful orbs of hers before she properly took in her surroundings and fear replaced her confusion.

The quick change made me sad and at the same time anger bubbled up inside me.

She moved away from me like my touch had burned her, she tried to struggle against the ropes that were binding her wrists together.

“Nathan,” she said ever so softly but her voice was raw and sounding broken. “Why… h-how are you here?”

A slow, menacing smile curled at the edges of my lips and I leaned back into my chair, straightening my shoulders as I watched her struggle.

“Do you really want to tell me that you didn’t know?” I asked in a smooth tone as I cocked my head to the side. “You didn’t know I had escaped prison? Find a way to get out and now here for you?”

She didn’t answer but the way her eyes widened with raw, unfiltered fear flashing across face told me everything I needed to know. Her reaction was my answer.

She had no idea.

That was why she was happily going on a vacation. She really thought she was safe and that she could get away from me. I almost rolled my eyes at her ignorance and stupidity.

There was no escaping from me.

I got even more angry and my blood turned hot as it coursed through my veins.

I leaned forward again and reached for her. I grabbed her roughly by the chin as I forced her to look into my eyes. Her body was warm under my touch and she was slightly trembling which pleased me.

“You are mine, Raina. Whether you like it or not,” I said, my voice low and malicious. “You always have been and you always will be. No matter how far you try to run to get away from me, no matter who you marry or date, you will never escape me.”

Tears welled up in her eyes and I tightened my burp on her chin even more. I wanted to kiss the tears away and make her feel less pain but I needed to teach her a lesson and let her know who was in control. I also wanted to destroy every memory she had of any man who wasn’t me.

“We will be getting married very soon, love,” I continued as I slowly ran my thumb of her trembling bottom lips that was calling on me to kiss it. “And you see both Alex and Dom? They’ll have to do something for me. I wish I could tell you now but you’ll know all about it when they come, okay?”

I let go of her roughly and I watched how she quickly accepted her fate as she sank back into the mattress, her lips were still trembling and she was gasping for air like a fish out of water.

I got up from the chair as every inch of my body thrummed with not only satisfaction but also anticipation.

I could still taste her on my lips and feel the softness of hers on my fingers.

As I walked out of the room and had shut the door behind me gently, not wanting to make her more terrified, I felt my blood rushing to one part of my body as my cock jerked to life.

“Soon,” I mumbled to myself like a promise. “Soon, I’ll have her all to myself in every way and when the time comes I’ll tie her to the bed so I can claim every inch of her until her head is filled with nothing but thoughts of me and how my cock felt inside her.”

The ringing and vibrating of the phone that was in my pocket drew me out of my thoughts.

I let out a groan as I pulled it out to check who it was.

Uncle Cale.

Anger replaced the feeling of pleasure that was coursing through me and even if I didn’t want to speak to him, I still answered the call.

“Where the hell are you?” He said almost immediately, his voice demanding and sharp.

I smirked as I started pacing around the dimly lit hallway. “I cannot tell you yet,” I responded. “It’s not a good idea to talk openly because I don’t know who might be listening.”

He let out a frustrated groan but I remained unbothered. “We have the Grahams by the balls now,” he spoke up again, his voice lower and deadlier than before. “It’s fine to get rid of them and finish it all.”

I stared at my reflection on the cracked window and the smile on my lips became wider, turning into a full blown malicious smile because I was more than happy to do as he said.

Soon, uncle Cale. Real soon.

And once the Grahams were out of the way… you’re the next person I’d be getting rid of Cale.

“Sure,” I replied curtly and I hung up working waiting for him to say anything else.

I slipped the phone back into the pocket it had been and patiently started tapping my fingers against the wall as I thought of my next course of action.

Hours passed and I still hadn’t heard sbuthing from either Alex or Dom. I had spent my time well, planning, waiting and savoring the sweet taste of the victory that approached but with each second that passed without a word from those two sons of a bitch, my nerves were all over the place and my anger was immeasurable.

Realizing that they were taking their fucking time which in turn was wasting mine, I decided to give them a call.

I pulled out my other phone that couldn’t be tracked and dialed Alex’s number this time around.

The fool answered my call almost immediately like he had been waiting for me to call.

“Nathan,” Alex basically growled into the phone, his voice shaking with anger. “Where the fuck did you take my wife to?”

I let out an amused and mocking laugh.

“Oh please Alex,” I said through laughter. “There’s no need for all of these that you’re doing. I’m a reasonable man aren’t I?”

“You’re dead. I’m going to kill you with my hands,” he barked. “Do you hear me? You’re going to die right in my fucking hands.”

“Ouu, I’m scared,” I replied sarcastically. “Do you really want to see your pretty little wife again with the way you’re behaving? Don’t you love her enough to want to see her alive?”

He paused and I could practically see him trying to hold himself back from speaking. A choked sound of anger, regret and desperation that was all tangled up together came through the phone and I smiled to myself.

It sounded like music to my ears. The best kind.

“Have you now made your decision?” I asked, my voice light as I played with the lighter in my hand, swirling it around.

No response.

Good. Now they were listening after they realized what was at stake. They were too desperate and they’ll do anything I ask of them.

“I’ll take your silence as a yes,” I continued. “I’ll send you an address and I expect you to meet me there in less than an hour. And remember my warning about not bringing friends, if not, I’ll blow off the heads of your wives. Don’t be late either.”

Without waiting for a response, I hung up.

I got up and walked to where my men were waiting before giving them a sharp nod.

“Time to move them,” I ordered.

They got to work and they dragged both Raina and Faith to the waiting van who were struggling against the ropes that bound them tightly.

I got into the van with them, pleased with every broken sob that escaped their lips.

When we got to the warehouse, I forced Raina to sit on a chair behind an old table and placed a stack of papers in front of her.

“Sign,” I ordered as I pushed the divorce papers close to her.

She shook her head as her lips trembled and tears slid down her face uncontrollably.

“Nathan, please… don’t do—“ she begged, her voice raw and broken.

I knelt beside her and brushed her hair away from her face gently.

“Soon, it will all be over, love,” I cooed. “All you need to do is sign.”

When she refused to, I angrily slammed my hand against the table and she flinched violently.

“Do you want Alex to die instead!?” I yelled angrily. “Because that is what will happen if you don’t sign these papers.”

Crying uncontrollably, she raised her trembling hands, picked the pen and signed on everywhere that required her signature.

I was mad that I had to threaten her with the death of Alex before she complied but I was happy that it was finally done.

I kissed her forehead roughly, ignoring the way she recoiled because I knew that very soon, she’d be craving my touch.

Not long after that, I heard the sound of tires against the gravel outside.

The sacrificial lambs had brought themselves to the slaughter house.

I walked out and I watched as Alex and Dominic got down from the same car. They were both red with anger and I could practically see the smoke coming from their heads.

Their eyes fell on me at the same time and I smirked when I saw the anger and fear swimming in their eyes.

“Nathan!” They both called in unison.
