Chapter 159: I Love You Xander
After what seemed like an eternity, Golden finally ended the kiss. She pulled back slightly, her breath uneven, her heart racing faster than she could control.“Xander, I want to be your girlfriend.
The last couple of months haven't been short of anything amazing. I see that you truly love me and you have proven it in many ways beyond words.” Golden paused to catch her breath. There was a lot in her heart she needed to say out loud.
Xander looked at the woman in his arms, the woman he was crazy about giving him one surprise after another. He couldn't help as his heart swelled with love.
“The thing is, I'm still a little scared. I feel like everything is too good to be true and I'm worried that the moment I let go, everything will come crashing down.
But one thing I know is that, I am willing to trust again. Although my heart is feeble, I'm willing to entrust it to you.” Golden paused again.
“Somewhere between your late-night calls, your patience, and the way you never gave up on me. I think I may have fallen in love with you Xander.
I don't know when it happened, but I know that my heart feels differently about you now.
I love you Alexander Mendez. Please don't break my heart because I don't think I will ever come back from it if you do.”
Xander couldn't believe his ears. Golden just confessed her feelings to him. She said she loved him.
Before he could think, He pulled her in and kissed her deeply. “Did you just say you love me Gigi?” he asked in-between kisses.
“I love you Xander.” Golden said as she tried to keep up with the kisses.
“Good. You just made me the happiest man on earth. I promise, I will love you with every fibre of my being.”
They broke the kiss and Xander put Golden on her feet. He took her luggage and held her hands and moved towards the stairway.
He paused and turned to her. Although she was finally his girlfriend, he still needed her to choose which direction they went and what pace they went.
“The guest room is down the hall, and my bedroom is upstairs. Where would you like to spend the night?” he asked.
“Hmmm! Let me think.” Golden put her hand on her chin like she was thinking of something and then looked towards the stairs. “Since I'm your girlfriend now, I think it's only right that I sleep in my boyfriend's room.” she said.
“Are you sure? I don't want to pressure you.” Xander asked.
Golden closed the distance between them and kissed him. She had prepared her mind when she decided to spend the weekend with him. She was prepared for anything to go down.
She broke the kiss and climbed the stairs. Xander shook his head and followed her, smiling as they went.
He held her on the waist and led her to his bedroom. There were only two rooms upstairs. One was his bedroom, and the other his study.
As they entered the room, he switched on the lights and Golden was greeted with a dark cool masculine ambiance. It was giving timeless sophistication with textured accent walls and warm ambient lighting.
He left Golden to admire and take in the design. He walked to his closet and got out of his work clothes and went straight to have a shower.
Golden took the time to remove her sleepwear from her box and what she needed for her night skincare routine and waited for Xander to come back out.
While Xander was in the bathroom, Golden began to feel tensed. This was the first time she was going to be spending the night with a guy.
Although she had done some exploring, she had never gone all the way. But she felt like she might go all the way tonight.
She knew Xander was a gentleman and would probably not do anything she didn't want to. The scary thing was, Golden actually wanted to be close to him in a way she had never allowed before.
In fact she was ready to go all the way with him. She loved him, and for once, she wasn’t afraid of what that meant.
She was going to give him his final birthday gift. She was ready to share a part of herself she had always protected.
She had even gone ahead to pack something sensual. It was a last minute decision she made before she left London.
She had been very shy when she went into the lingerie store. The attendant had noticed her confusion and decided to help her out.
It was obviously her first time buying a sexy piece and after finding out she wanted to surprise her boyfriend, the attendant picked out a black lacy piece for her.
Golden took her suitcase to the closet and carefully set it on the floor, next to one of the wardrobes. She noticed the carefully arranged closet. Xander was exactly like her, he was meticulous and very organized.
She heard Xander come out of the bathroom and also stepped out of the closet.
He was wearing a cotton pyjamas pants and shirt and held a towel which he was using to dry his hair.
“I'm done baby, you can go take a shower now, and just in case you want to soak in the bathtub, I also prepared the bath for you.” Xander said and pulled Golden in for a quick kiss.
Golden blushed and held her stuff close to her chest. She didn't want Xander to know what she was holding.
She would have loved to soak in the bathtub but her heart was beating when she realized what might happen later.
She ended up giving in when she saw the bath that Xander had prepared for her. She wore a shower cap to prevent her hair from getting wet and let the warm water cool her nerves.
After about ten minutes, she came out of the tub and entered the closet through the connecting door.
She did a quick night routine and put on her lingerie. It was a black lace bra and pant that left little to the imagination. It came with a long robe which she wore to add to the sex appeal.
She entered into the room. Xander was sitting on the bed and working on his laptop.
With every step back into the room, her confidence faded slightly, replaced by a nervous anticipation she couldn’t ignore.
He raised his head and froze!
