Chapter: Tried to solve things
Chapter: Tried to solve things
Before I could say anything, he pulled the corner of his lips into a smile that seemed evil to me and left the way he came, just as quietly, I don't think even Hades noticed he came in because he was still with his head stuck in my neck, although sometimes I thought Hades had eyes on his back.
I gasped in surprise and pushed Hades by the shoulders a little to get him to separate from me.
Shit.
"You're nervous," Hades said, more than a question, it was a statement, he saw it in me.
I wasn't able to look at his face while he focused on fixing my swimsuit and I quickly changed into something to cover me.
Apparently Hades had no idea that Gabriel; his stepmother's eldest son had seen us.
He didn't want to tell her either, that is, he knew that they didn't get along well and this could make it worse, so I would talk to Gabriel; He was my friend, surely he would understand me and keep the secret just for me.
Otherwise I would have no choice.
I didn't look at Hades, that way he wouldn't read my facial expressions or my body language.
"I... uh, nothing," I said, trying to sound calm, "it's nothing, the door opened and I got scared."
I barely dared to look at him, he was just standing there looking at me as if he could tell just by the tone of my voice that I was hiding something from him.
"Okay," Hades finally said, "you go out first and I'll go out later."
I pursed my lips, adjusting my bag on my back.
"Alright." I said and smiled a little flirtatiously because that was what I would usually do if everything was fine.
I think this dating someone who read your body language thing was just forcing me to control my body language more.
Uhm, maybe that's why Hades was so controlled with his body and his expressions, because he didn't want to be an open book that was easily read.
I shot like a bullet from the room where I was with Hades to where the boys in my class were arranging their things because we were all leaving.
I looked for Gabriel without success, but on the bus he was not going to get rid of me.
My hands were shaking with nerves at the thought of Gabriel currently talking to the coordinator or something like that he saw.
We were in serious trouble.
We all got on the bus and the first thing I saw was Rafael; He was lying in the hallway completely unconscious from drunkenness.
That man disgusted me.
I looked at Gabriel sitting almost at the back and I went towards him, someone was going to sit down but I pushed him sitting down, the person gave me a confused look, but then he sat down somewhere else, I looked at Gabriel, he got up with the intention of change positions but I held his wrist and put a wall with my body so he wouldn't leave.
"Please," I said and he fixed his green eyes on me, "stay."
He wrinkled his nose a little and sat down with a sigh.
"Mmh, I have a feeling we're going to talk about something deep." said Gabriel.
I looked around, the music was loud enough for them to hear us and everyone seemed drunk enough to pay attention to us. I looked back at Gabriel, he looked at me without any expression, I could almost sense his slight amusement.
"Please don't say anything about what you saw." I whispered, leaning towards him so that no one would hear.
Gabriel shrugged, raising an eyebrow and said:
"I did not see anything."
what?
I looked at him in disbelief.
"Oh really?" I asked.
Gabriel looked ahead as they started the bus and shrugged again, his smile widening a little.
"I'm not going to say anything." He said.
I narrowed my eyes, his relaxed attitude seemed a little strange to me, there was something that didn't fit.
"Thank you." I murmured because... what else could I say?
Gabriel looked at me, this time I saw a different look; more serious in him, he didn't seem at all relaxed or entertained like before when he said:
"In return..."
Uhm.
Apparently his silence was not free.
"What?" I asked, running out of breath.
He smiled a little again, his braces showing on his teeth as he said:
"I want you to give me a ticket to your ballet presentation."
Oh.
It was just that? I really thought it would be something more serious.
"What? what?" I asked without understanding.
Gabriel nodded his head in response but there was something strange in his gaze that didn't give me a good feeling, I narrowed my eyes.
"There's something strange here."
"Oh, sure," I said, "no problem."
They always gave me free tickets for the presentations, and in fact I had 2 left for tomorrow's presentation, giving one to Gabriel didn't hurt me or anything like that.
"Alright?" Gabriel asked.
"Alright." I stated with a slight smile, I preferred to think that Gabriel really just wanted to go to my ballet performance and that he had no bad intentions.
But since Hades had his sights on him, I must have had reason to suspect him too; eyes open.
I swallowed heavily, feeling somewhat uneasy because more and more people knew about Professor Parker and me.
That increased my anxiety.
I looked up at a few seats ahead, finding golden eyes fixed on me, Hades looked at me for half a second more as if he wanted me to realize that he was looking at me and then turned back to the front again.
Uhm.
He didn't know if that meant that he didn't like him talking to Gabriel or that he knew everything that was going on with Gabriel.
Damn, I felt like I was oblivious to something, and ignorant of many things, I just didn't know what yet.
When I got home, the first thing I did was lock myself in my room and call Hades, but he sent me straight to voicemail as if my phone was turned off, maybe... it had run out of battery. I wanted to invite him to the ballet performance and tell him what I had talked to Gabriel about and everything that had happened.
I left him a message so when he turned on his cell phone he would see it.
Nube: I'll send you an invitation code in case you want to go to my ballet performance, it's tomorrow.
He hadn't told her before because we hadn't really talked anything these days until today... we went into the living room and fucked.
I waited a few minutes but he didn't answer me.
He supposed...that he would do it when he was free.
I went into the bathroom to wash off the salt water to sleep, I hoped Hades wasn't upset.
