Chapter 92: The Night before Departure
Once Goldmund awoke, Erisa hugged him tightly and burst into tears. She told him she had forgiven him and would always love him, no matter what. Goldmund cuddled with her and kissed her on the forehead.
“I love you too, Erisa. I am so happy that you’ve forgiven me my awful deeds! I was so frightened you’d never look at me again…”
“You were always kind to me, Goldie. I… I can never be wrathful towards you”.
While Goldmund and Erisa were having their romantic disclosure time, Edmund visited Riza in her room. This latter was sitting with Edmond on her bed and was writing new lyrics for a song in her notebook. She appeared to still be upset over her and Edmund’s earlier argument.
“Um… Riza?”
“Oh, come in”.
“Sorry if I annoyed you,” Edmund chuckled, adjusted his glasses, and took a seat on the edge of her bed.
“Good you are sorry because you indeed are annoying,” Edmond grinned.
Edmund shot him a stern gaze, and then glanced back at Riza:
“Anyway, tomorrow morning we’re departing. Nina Wingfield and Scott Blutendorf are coming too”.
“Nice”.
“Well, I did apologize, so I guess I’ve got nothing left to do”.
Edmund stood up and headed towards the door. Riza’s cry from the behind stopped him:
“I am sorry too! Shouldn’t have insulted you earlier today…”
“I’ve booked a table for us two in a famous restaurant in New Land. Looking forward to our romantic date”.
Edmund winked at her from behind his glasses and left the place. Edmond and Riza watched him in a daze until he disappeared.
“So much for a romance…” Edmond rolled eyes.
“He’s still an annoying cocky nerd,” Riza’s cheeks flushed.
On the terrace of the Rose Cruce Order building, Danielle and Scott were sitting together, enjoying the view of the shining stars.
“Tomorrow, we’ll be leaving. I’m glad I’ve got to spend all these beautiful days with you in the Rose Cruce, Danielle,” Scott smiled at the woman with whom he had already gone on multiple dates and they both had taken a liking to each other.
“I’ll miss you, Scott. Please, look after Riza for me! I am still so worried!” Danielle put her hands to her chest, “New Land is across the ocean, after all!”
“Haha, do not worry, Danielle. I will take care of the kids, I promise!”
“Thank you”.
Danielle’s eyes shone with happiness as she watched this brave man, who was so different from every other man she had ever encountered… Scott too, on his part, was dazzled by her unearthly charm.
Nina and Tim were together in their new room on the second floor. They too had joined the Rose Cruce after defeating Gustav Jaeger. Now Nina was spending the time with Tim before she would depart for New Land the next day.
“I will miss you, honey!” Tim grew sulky – he didn’t want to be separated from his wife.
“Aww, don’t be so sad, Tim! We’ll be back!” Nina chuckled and caressed him. “I’m following them so I can help them meet up with Enya and settle things”.
“Yeah, you always want a good company of your friends and sisters. You don’t care about your hubby…”
Tim crossed his arms and turned around. Nina laughed and cuddled with him:
“No, I always enjoy your company, Timmy!”
In another room on the second floor, Tiger and Kokuyo were spending time with Tiger’s three pets. Everyone in the Rose Cruce was having fun together. There was only one girl who spent time alone, and quite bitterly – she lay in her bed and cried hot tears.
*Byakuya, just after you confessed your love and we were to start a new journey, you left… I shall find you!* Tears gushed from Tamie’s eyes. *I shall definitely find you!*
“We will find him together”.
Tamie looked aside in a stupor, to see Kokujin come out of her scroll.
“Kokujin!” she wiped off her tears. “You’ve always been beside me in such hard moments…”
“Well, I promised you, Tamie – I shall be there for you, no matter what, to support you and inspire you. We shall walk this path of life together, until the end”.
Tamie cuddled with him. Soon, she fell in a deep sleep with a smile on her face.
