Chapter Fifty Seven

Chapter Fifty Seven
Elliot

I open my mouth to get his attention, taking a step forward, my heart hammering in my chest, when he says the dumbest thing I have ever heard come out of his mouth, throwing me in for a loop.

“So, who is she? The mother of Cyan?”

He asked so casually too. Like he was trying hard to make it seem he didn’t care that I may have fathered a child with some woman that didn’t exist. I was so overwhelmed with disbelief that I couldn’t even bring out a coherent word.

“Uh…” I was absolutely speechless.

“You know what, it doesn’t matter. Because the truth of it is Elli, regardless if she is still in your life or not, know that you’re mine. No one else’s. Which makes Cyan mine as well.” His voice took on a darker tone. His eyes flash yellow as he crosses his arms over his chest in that dominant way only truly powerful Alphas can produce.

I stood there in shock. He was making it to where I didn’t have a choice in this matter. Which is fine with me. But I couldn’t help asking anyways,

“And what of the mother? Is she not allowed to care for her own child?”

He shifts a little, looking a little peeved. “If she is in the picture I guess I could accommodate her. But Cyan came from you, which means he’s mine to care for as well. And I’ll make sure he’ll never go without. I’ll love him as if he was my own son.”

The smile that cracked my face couldn’t be contained any longer. I walk right up to him and shake my head, his breath catching at my nearness. “Sometimes it makes me wonder how dense you really are, when you’re the brightest person I have ever met, Lincoln Nolan or…” I look to the picture of his true father. “I guess it’s Besson isn’t it?”

“Did you just insult me at the same time you’re praising me?” He questions incredulously.

“Yes, because everyone else sees it but you.” I whisper, beginning to become emotional now.

“What exactly am I not seeing here?”

I could tell he was starting to get frustrated now. “Lincoln, a woman didn’t give birth to Cyan.”

He blinks, then scowls. “Betas can’t impregnant Omegas.”

“No shit.” I deadpan. “You’re forgetting a small fact. The fact that Cyan called me mommy not daddy. I’m not a Beta Lincoln. I’m an Omega, a very recessive one.”

I watch him sink that in and when it does, he stands up straighter his eyes becoming even more yellow. “You gave birth to Cyan?” He whispers in controlled emotion that I wasn’t sure if it was anger or pain.

I wait to see what he was going to say next, see if he put two and two together. But apparently, he was more thick headed than I remembered.

“So, who is the father? Don’t tell me it’s that dipshit Alpha.” He grits out. He suddenly pushes me aside and strides for the door. “I knew I should have killed him right there at the damn park. First, he touched what’s mine, then he fathered a child that should be mine and will be mine.” He growls.

And I couldn’t take it anymore. I snapped.

“Damn it, Lincoln! He is yours! Cyan is yours! He’s your son!”

He stops cold where he stands, facing the doorway that was slightly ajar. I was breathing heavily from my outburst and more than anything I was just glad that the truth was finally out in the open. I could tell he was taking his time processing my words. Slowly turning to face me I could see he was holding himself back.

“I need you to be completely honest with me, Elliot. It’s not that I don’t trust you, I just need one hundred percent honesty, because it will more than just kill me, it will completely destroy me if what you just said isn’t true.”

Slowly walking up to him I whisper brokenly, “What hurts me most is knowing that you truly believe that I would ever betray you in any way. I love you; I have always loved you since I could remember. You’re my soulmate Lin. I would never have another touch me the way you do. When I said I will wait for you, for however long it takes, I meant it. Cyan is your son. I would never lie to you about that.”

He shuts the door and comes right up and pulls me into his embrace. His strong arms wraps around my body, and I knew instantly that our two worlds were going to be alright and whole again. Because besides the shaking our bodies was going through with all the raging emotions inside us, nothing could change the fact that we were both right where we were always meant to be.

Together.

“Cyan is mine. I really have a son.” He muffles, not much of a question, just more of a statement as if he was trying hard to convince himself it was true.

“Yes, he really is and you really do.” I move my head away so I could look into his eyes, eyes that were so bright with tears and pure yellow now. “How could you not tell just by one look? That boy is a straight replica of you.”

He shrugs his shoulders, still holding onto me tightly. His voice a bit shaky he says gently, “I guess maybe because I didn’t want to really look, knowing that you had a child. I guess I was afraid.”

“I should have told you sooner.” I admit guiltily.

“It would have been nice, I’ll admit. But I’m not angry at you that you didn’t. My life…” He sniffs, gaining his emotions back in control. “Damn, I never cried as much as I do with you Elli. Han hated seeing me be emotional. But you alone break down all my walls like it’s the easiest thing to do.”

I couldn’t help smiling at that. “Proof that I’m your soulmate.”

His features become somber. “You are my soulmate, Elli. The moment I saw you in that music room I knew you were mine forever.”

I chuckle. “Bullshit, you yelled at me to get out remember?”

“Only because I was afraid Han would discover you and make you leave. I really wanted a friend then.”

“You needed a friend. And for once the universe actually did something right placing me right there where you could find me.” I whisper, feeling the heavy weight of what he had gone through while growing up.

He suddenly presses his lips against mine and I never felt more at home than I did in that very moment. It has been way too long, and my body lit like a burning firepit that it hadn’t felt in a very long time. Instantly I needed his flesh against mine, skin on skin. Deepening the kiss I wanted to devour him completely.

He rips our lips apart, both of us panting. “I want to meet him.” He breathlessly says. “I mean, actually tell him that I’m his father.”

“He already knows.” I bring his lips back to mine, kissing the crap out of him some more.

He once again rips away from me, confusion laced in his eyes. “What do you mean he already knows?”

“I promise to talk about this later, but right now I really need you to focus on me. It’s been six years Lincoln. I don’t know about you but I’m super fucking horny and I need your dick in me now.” I bluntly confess.

His eyes widened at my bold statement, but then they turn heated and then something amazing happens. My body envelopes in something warm, and electrifying. A scent that faintly smells of sandalwood and almonds, a musky scent that drove me slightly wild. I never felt pheromones before, even when I was in my heat, if you can call them that. But this, I could feel his like my pores were waiting for this exact scent to soak it all up.

He reaches behind me and shoves everything off his desk making everything fall to the floor in a loud thud. I didn’t even realize he was slowly walking me back until we were right there. Pushing me down on the desk, leaning over me, he darkly whispers,

“Are you tempting me to give you another baby, Elli?”

And holy fuck did that dark voice of his make the sparks shoot up my spine like a lightning bolt, his scent making me want him to do just that.
