Chapter 34
Chapter 34
There was a handsome young man with red curly hair at the front desk. He greeted me warmly as soon as he saw me.
"Hey, sir, do you want to learn boxing?"
"Let me find out if my situation is suitable for boxing."
The red-haired handsome man said his name was Lucas. Lucas took me into the hall. There were dozens of young people practicing boxing, sweating profusely. They looked very imposing, and I felt full of strength.
One of the coaches was tall and strong, and his body was like an athlete. The red-haired handsome man said his name was James Davis. He had won the national and state boxing championship, but for some reasons he did not continue to participate in the competition and chose to open a boxing gym.
After the visit, I asked about the price. It was not high and I could afford it. After a while, James also came over to chat with me for a few words and encouraged me to learn boxing to strengthen my body. I signed up without hesitation.
Because most people come to exercise after get off work, there will be more classes in the evening. That night was the first class, and I came to the boxing gym on time.
Sure enough, there were many more students coming to class in the evening. A particularly sunny and handsome boy with short black hair greeted me immediately when he saw that I was new.
"Hi, my name is Owen, James Davis, what's your name?"
"Hello Owen, I'm Michael Williams."
Hearing my name, Owen's bright eyes widened.
"Are you from the Williams family? That's a big family in this town, nice to meet you."
"Me too."
Owen secretly pointed to coach James and whispered to me.
"James is very fierce, you must be careful to practice seriously and don't provoke him."
I was about to ask why James was fierce, and suddenly, a deep voice came over.
"We have a new student today, Michael Williams, come and say hello to everyone."
James' words scared me, and I quickly closed my mouth, put on a serious expression and walked in front of James.
Fortunately, he didn't bother me, just introduced me to everyone, and then started to teach everyone to practice together.
James taught very seriously, especially for new students like me, and taught me some basic movements one-on-one.
Soon, I was sweating profusely and my physical strength was a little bit exhausted. James came over to encourage me to be patient. Boxing is a sport that requires long-term persistence.
After James finished talking to me, Owen came over and talked to me curiously again.
"Michael, what do you do?"
"Uh... I just help my father manage the family's real estate and take care of several farms in the family. I don't work specifically where. What do you do?"
Owen raised his eyebrows.
"I'm a lawyer. This is my phone number. If you need any help, you can contact me."
I added his phone number to my address book. I really didn't expect Owen to pass the lawyer's license at such a young age. After all, he looked only 22 or 23 years old.
I practiced for two hours and was exhausted. I dragged my exhausted body back home.
I didn't tell Jack that I signed up for boxing. I wanted to become strong quietly and give him a surprise.
In the next few days, I practiced every day, and gradually I felt that my body had adapted and I was not so tired.
Finally, it was the weekend. In the afternoon, I went out to throw away the garbage and saw Ethan running out of the house in a hurry. His face was very ugly, and there were even scratches on his face. My heart skipped a beat, wondering if something had happened between him and Miranda.
When I was hesitating whether to go over and ask, Miranda also ran out and pleaded with Ethan anxiously.
"Ethan, I'm sorry, I know I was wrong, don't leave, listen to my explanation, okay?"
The two of them were pulling and tugging in front of my yard. Ethan saw that I was looking at him, nodded at me, shook off Miranda and walked out quickly.
Miranda naturally chased after them. I stood in the yard, frowning and watching the two people's backs going away, wondering what happened between them.
I know that I may not be qualified to care about Ethan now, but I still feel a little distressed when I see him sad.
In an instant, as if I had made up my mind, I immediately put down the garbage in my hand and chased after Ethan.
When I reached the intersection, I saw Miranda had already caught up with Ethan and was apologizing to him. I stood far away and eavesdropped on their conversation. Ethan was angry at Miranda.
"Miranda, I really didn't expect you to be such a person. Why didn't you listen to my advice when you lost money, and you even hit me?"
Miranda lowered her head in guilt and kept saying sorry to Ethan. At this time, a taxi just came at the intersection. Ethan pulled the taxi and got on it, leaving Miranda behind and left.
Miranda was so anxious that she chased after the taxi and shouted.
"Ethan, stop! Please stop!"
Miranda's face was full of tears. However, I didn't care about Miranda, but couldn't wait to stop another taxi to chase Ethan. I was worried that something would happen to him under impulse.
After chasing for more than an hour, Ethan's taxi finally stopped by the Blue Ribbon River in the suburbs.
The Blue Ribbon River is the main river in Greenland Town. The whole river runs through Greenland Town like a blue ribbon, so it is called the Blue Ribbon River. Every year, people from all over the world come to visit.
The water in this river is very deep and the current is very fast. Every year, people drown and die. I saw Ethan standing by the river after getting off the taxi, which scared me to death.
While I silently prayed in my heart that Ethan would never jump into the river, I quickly jumped out of the taxi and ran towards him.
