CHAPTER 58

Sometime before at Marcus's house his family was distressed by what happened in the mall, Richard was there with Loretta and Ralph when they heard a car arrive, Alice opened the door and it was Oliver who arrived when he found out what happened and came to support them.

Marcus got a call when he saw who it was he got up excusing himself and went outside to talk.

"Hello,."

"Hello, who is it?"

"This is Antonni Lombardi."

"But how do you know my number? Where is my granddaughter? You took her away."

"Calm down, she's my blood, she's safe and sound."

"And Mark?"

"She's fine too man, I was just calling to let you know we're on our way to your house, I want to talk to all of you."

"We'll wait for you then."

"Alright."

Marcus came back immediately and spoke.

"That was Antonni Lombardi."

Dereck asked anxiously "What happened to my son and Jenna?"

"Wait Dereck, he said he was on his way over here that he wants to talk to all of us."

"And what does that man want to talk to us about?" Juliet asked anxiously.

"I don't know just that he said, we better wait to see what happens" commented Marcus.

They sat down to ramble about the situation, Richard said to remain calm that it is better to find out everything and see what the Lombardi patriarch wants.

Some cars parked outside the Marck's mansion, the guards opened the doors, the first one to get out was Antonni Lombardi, then Marck and Jenna got out, he gave her his hand to help her to get out smiling to each other.

The front door opened with the Lombardi patriarch entering first, then Marck and Jenna, they were greeted by the Blacks who greeted.

"Good afternoon Mr. Lombardi" to which Antonni replied.

"Good afternoon everyone, here I bring you my great-granddaughter and her boyfriend safe and sound."

Carla and Dereck rushed to hug Jenna and Mark asking.

"Are you okay Jenna are you in any pain, son I was scared to see you take on those men."

Carla turned her gaze to Antonni and angrily demanded.

"Mr. Lombardi could you tell us why you took my son and granddaughter?"

"I wished to speak to her, but since your son was present my nephew took them both and well I wanted to inform you that Jenna accepted my last name and you have my blessing to marry."

Juliet spoke doubtfully "But do you know that they are going to have a child? Are you aware of what happened between them?"

Antonni smiled and replied very calmly.

"My lady, I know the whole story of the two of them, besides I want to tell you that I do not agree with the bad actions of my grandson Luiggi, that is why he will not have my support when they condemn him, he is my blood, but he attempted against the life of his own daughter and that is unforgivable."

Richard knew of the Lombardi's business dealings, but this was not the time for legalities at all, Jenna observed her great grandfather saying.

"I accepted the last name for you and my son, I would like to ask you my grandparents to keep the secret of how Mark and I met, please it is better for my son to have a normal childhood."

Carla commented "Jenna you know we all here love you we will, we all will."

Everyone nodded their heads, then Antonni took back the floor saying.

"Jenna tomorrow we are going to register you with my last name, but we must put the truth in the document and that is that... Luiggi is your father".

Her expression changed and she exclaimed.

"That's the only thing that bothers me about being a Lombardi, the fact that that damned abused my mother and cheated everyone, but I am blessed to have been born in a home with parents who loved me unconditionally, my mom Judith a hardworking and very decent woman and him." She hugged Mark "who raised me full of values and decency believing I was his daughter, but destiny had something else in store for us" she took Mark's hands looking at him "We will love each other for eternity".

The two of them kissed making the applause resound in that room, but Marcus spoke.

"Forgive me, but I... I don't agree with that union, Marck is her father, even though he is not her father by blood, he raised her as his daughter, I still don't understand how they fell in love as man and wife."

Jenna hugged her grandfather and asked.

"Grandpa, please, you know how Mark loved my mother for so many years without having anyone, but I am nothing to him, I don't have his blood, love found us without knowing who we were, we love each other grandpa and here is the fruit of our love, please understand us, accept our union so you can enjoy all the moments of your great grandson, don't deny yourself that, look at an example here my great grandfather Antonni just met me" she bent down to talk to him in the form of a whisper in his ear. "I think he's even going to be envious" she gave him a kiss on the cheek making him smile and hug her saying.

"My Jenna dear I adore you so much you are absolutely right, you two deserve to be very happy" he raised his voice asking.

"When are you two getting married?" that took the couple by surprise as they hadn't talked about it, but Dereck stepped forward asking hesitantly.

"Mark did you apologize to her yet for the stupid things you said to her at the clinic?"

"Yes dad I did and... he forgave me, but he didn't mean to hit me I think I deserve that for foolishness." When he felt a hard blow on his buttocks and he jumped from the pain claiming.

"Auch daddy why do you hit me?" Dereck in response long another belts him and spoke "That and more you deserve for those horrible things you said to him."

Hearing everyone's laughter was beautiful, Carlo peeked his head out to hear his grandfather laughing and it gladdened his heart as his grandfather was hardly cheerful, but he noticed someone sitting with the others and motioned to his grandfather that he wished to speak to him, he motioned for him to go to where he was and let him know what he had to say.

Carlo in his ear informed him that who was sitting next to Mark's father is the man behind Amanda, to which the patriarch did not disguise his annoyance and asked him without any cover in front of everyone there looking at him.

"Young man, do you have something with Amanda, my grandson Luiggi's wife?" the question took everyone by surprise, even the man in question answered.

"Excuse me, I am Oliver Lannister and I am not interested in a romantic way, but I am helping you to cope with what you are going through with your grandson Luiggi, I am a widower and I know what it is like to lose a loved one".

The answer did not seem very sincere to her, but she disguised it very well Antonni saying.

"Very well because you must know something, no one approaches the Lombardi's wives without being aware of the consequences".

Oliver, having finished listening to him, replied shrewdly.

"From what she told me she doesn't love him anymore, she's going to divorce him because he cheated on her and almost got her involved in those dirty business deals he has."

Carlo was clenching his fists of rage looked at his grandfather, but he didn't show anger or anything just replied.

"Well if she divorces my grandson it's up to her to decide if she rebuilds her life, but not before and I would like to warn you something Lannister, try to stay away from her while she is married to my grandson."

Oliver didn't answer anything just remained very serious, then Jenna to soften the moment spoke cheerfully.

"Well let's leave that behind and let's talk about my wedding ah, but there is one thing missing gentlemen" she looked at Mark and he guessed what she wanted, so he got up from the sofa where he was, took something out of his pocket and approached Jenna and knelt in front of her saying.

"Jenna here in the presence of all who love you do you take to be my wife?"

Joy shot up in that room and more so when she answered happily.

"Yes I want to be your wife Mark" he put the ring on her finger and got up to kiss her and the congratulations were from everyone very joyful.

Only Carlo who watched Oliver out of the corner of her eye, as she didn't like his closeness with her cousin's wife, just thought she would keep watching them.

Two months passed and Alice was hurrying her little girl Jenna to go to the gynecologist to get an echo and to know about the health of her baby, Mark was ready in the car waiting for them to go, they both got in very happy, they arrived at the clinic then he got out and opened the door as a very delicate and loving gentleman, he gave her his hand to help her to get out, her belly was barely noticeable due to the pregnancy.

They went into the office of the gynecologist who put her on the table where she would do the sonogram echo, smeared the paddles with gel and began the exploration and the result surprised everyone when the doctor said.

"Ma'am you are pregnant with twins" Both parents screamed with joy.

"Twins hahaha we are having twins" Alice was happy to see them so joyful.

They left the clinic went home happy, when Loretta and Ralph arrived in their car they waved and went inside they were not even sitting down when the joyful Mark blurted out.

"I'm going to be a daddy of twins hahaha, hooray!" Loretta was so happy she jumped up to hug him saying "twins how cute".

They were celebrating when Richard arrived with some news.

"Tomorrow Luiggi's trial begins."

They all looked at each other and Jenna said.

"I want to go, I want to see when they accuse him his defeated face, I want to see him suffer."

Mark hugged her slowly and asked "Please my love, leave those bad thoughts from your head, now we must be happy for our children".

"Ok, but I want to go, I want to be there present" she answered him effusively and he spoke very calmly.

"We will go my love, the whole family will go, for we were harmed by him".

While Luiggi was in his special cell with no one who dared to bother him, his cousin Carlo, hiding from his grandfather, kept him safe, the lawyer did not give much hope to the prisoner, he knew he was guilty, he only thought he had lost Amanda's love and his grandfather's support, he was afraid to go back to being a common prisoner.

Carlo was trying to convince his grandfather to support Luiggi again, but he was very reluctant to do so until his anger made him burst in his patience and he shouted furiously at his grandson Carlo.

"Damn it Carlo stop it, I don't want to support him anymore and neither do you, poor you if I find out you are doing it you know what you can earn, in the family you do what I order and he deserves it for what he did to my great granddaughter."

Carlo was just silent and afraid that after the trial if his cousin is convicted he will no longer be able to protect him and he will be in the hands of the other convicts and maybe that man who wants to hurt him.

Marck and Jenna will be parents of twins, Carlo is afraid that from now on his hands are tied and he cannot help his cousin and Luiggi is preparing for his trial where he has everything to lose.
