Chapter 108

Chapter 108
\- Two months later -
Wedding day….
Today marks the exact six months of Martina's arrival in Country A, a day that completely altered the course of her life and plans after reuniting with Trey.
She was glad things happened when they did.
The past six months have been filled with ups and downs, but their love and determination have seen them through every challenge and hardship.
Additionally, Luis and Clara celebrated their five-year birthday, which Trey commemorated with a lavish party, introducing them to the social and corporate world.
As a result, Luis's name was changed to Ryan Luis Collins, and he was named as Trey's successor; Clara became Clarissa Collins, and they both took on new roles under Trey's wing.
Martina is two months into her pregnancy; she is still experiencing unusual cravings, morning sickness, strange needs, and other symptoms, though her stomach has yet to show any signs of her pregnancy.
However, Trey remains unfazed by it all. He is overjoyed and is grateful for the opportunity to support his pregnant wife and experience this journey alongside her.
Which brings us to the present day.
Martina sat gracefully in front of her exquisitely adorned, elegant vanity in her dressing room, encircled by a team of skilled stylists and makeup artists.
The air was filled with an aura of excitement and anticipation as some of the professionals diligently worked on perfecting her locks and others focused on enhancing her natural beauty.
Positioned behind her was a radiant golden mannequin that showcased her magnificent white diamond wedding gown, elegantly draped with her long transparent veil embellished with glistening and shimmering diamonds along its edges.
There was a photographer who was diligently capturing every moment on video.
Trey had reached out to a renowned fashion designer from France to create the gown. However, it turned out that he had actually drafted and designed the gown himself.
She also discovered that he had designed their wedding ring, which didn't surprise her at all.
Trey had always been passionate about becoming a designer. When they were younger, he had confided in her, expressing his desire to design their wedding rings and all the jewelry that would grace her neck, ears, and wrists.
Just then there was a knock on the door.
Susan poked her head in and asked,
"Am I late to help my sister get ready for her big day?"
Martina greeted her with a smile and said,
"I almost thought you wouldn't make it."
"I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world," Susan replied.
"Wow, our baby is bigger than the last time I saw him," Martina remarked as Susan entered the room.
"Yes, in less than a month, he will be coming into the world," Susan said.
Mrs. Collins also entered, saying,
"How is everything going with my daughter? I just checked on the groom; it is time for him to leave."
"Done," one of the stylists said. "It only left for her to wear her gown,"
Mrs. Collins nodded, closing the door behind her, and approached Susan.
"I'm glad you could make it; welcome," she said as they both hugged.
"Thank you, Mrs. Collins," Susan responded.
"Call me Mom; I prefer that," Mrs. Collins said as they broke the hug. Susan smiled and said,
"Okay, Mom," and everyone smiled happily.
As everyone returned to their tasks, they carefully helped Martina into her exquisite gown. After ensuring her comfort, they seated her in a chair.
Just as they were about to place the veil over her head, the door suddenly swung open, and there, at the threshold, stood the groom, with Diego and Antonio behind him.
Trey looked striking in his silver embroidered black tuxedo, his neatly tied hair and impeccably groomed beard accentuating his hellish charm.
His muscular arms strained against the fabric of his tuxedo, and his piercing ocean-blue eyes were fixed solely on Martina.
He gazed at her, as though she was the only person in the world, causing Martina's skin to prickle with goosebumps, sending shivers down her spine.
Mrs. Collins’ voice was filled with anger as she demanded,
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Trey, with a determined look on his face,
"I want to see my bride before I leave for the church," he said as he confidently stepped into the room.
His words, however, were met with a stern and commanding tone from Mrs. Collins, making him halt in his tracks.
"Stop right there!" she approached him and reprimanded, "Didn't I tell you not to come here? So why did you disobey me?"
Trey, looking puzzled, raised his eyebrow and questioned,
"Am I missing something? She is my wife, and I'm allowed to see her whenever I please."
Mrs. Collins’ frustration was evident as she exclaimed,
"Not when she is getting ready for her wedding, damnmit."
Trey, clearly unconvinced, retorted,
"May I ask why?"
"Because it's bad luck for the bride," Mrs. Collins explained; already she was feeling worried.
However, Trey, not one to easily accept superstitions, declared,
"That's absurd," and then walked over to Martina, seeking support. "You don't believe it, right?" he asked.
Martina, with a hint of defiance, nodded and confidently stated,
"I don't believe it," which earned a disapproving frown from everyone in the room. "What? It's superstition; it was made up to keep partners apart till after their wedding, nothing else," Martina added.
Mrs. Collins, unwilling to entertain further discussion, said,
"Whatever you say," and then proceeded to approach Trey to usher him out of the room.
"So you're preventing me from sharing a kiss with my wife?" he asked, looking at his mom, who shook her head. "I really can't kiss my own wife?" Trey asked, a look of disbelief on his face.
Martina nodded in agreement.
“I couldn't believe you're preventing me from kissing my husband because of superstition?”
"Yes!" Mrs. Collins and Susan exclaimed in unison, emphasizing the seriousness of the tradition.
"Fine, I'll go," Trey relented.
But before leaving, he locked eyes with Martina for a moment, his expression filled with unsaid emotions.
"I'll be waiting for you at the end of the aisle, Jade," he said softly.
Martina smiled and nodded in response.
After the men departed, Martina turned to Susan with a hopeful look.
"Did you bring my babies?" she inquired, her eyes reflecting anticipation.
Susan's smile was warm and reassuring as she replied,
"I wouldn't dream of leaving them behind."
She handed Martina a box, and as Martina opened it, a mischievous grin spread across her face.
"My babies," she murmured affectionately, retrieving two pistols she had named Luis and Clara. "I've missed you both so much."
"Jade, are you absolutely certain about this? Trey would be furious if he found out," Mrs. Collins voiced her concern, her tone filled with apprehension.
"He won't, Mom," Martina reassured her, carefully placing the pistols into the specially tailored secret pockets on her gown.
She had requested the designer to incorporate hidden pockets on each side of her gown, anticipating that Valerie might attempt something on her wedding day.
She was determined to be prepared for whatever might come her way.
