Chapter 27: XXX Valentine

**“Love is incomplete without eroticism. The most wonderful day to show your erotic feelings is Valentine's Day. This day is celebrated as the biggest festival of love where lovebirds show their feelings in different ways. We all know that love is the most pleasurable and erotic thing in our life and we always try to keep this feeling alive. But it is not an easy task to ensure that your love life will always remain young and beautiful.”**

**Alexis**

After we had breakfast with his family, we went to the airport and flew back to our hotel. Johnnie has an early dinner planned for us and I have my surprise planned for dessert. I am nervous about it, but once I step out and see him I am sure that my anxiety will fade. We got a shower together and he left me to get dressed. I changed into a short fitted black dress that had a flowy skirt. Since it is Valentine's Day, I wanted to dress up. Red seemed overdone and cliche, so that's why I chose black. I step out of the bathroom.

“Wow, babe, you look sensational! Can you believe we're actually here on Valentine's Day? The day I usually cringe and hate with a passion?” he remarks.

“Yes, because you gave me hope again. A safe place to feel a connection I have never felt before.”

He strokes my cheek with his finger, “You gave me more than I ever thought I could feel for someone. I want to promise you something. From this day forward, I want you to know you're it for me. I don't want to scare you, but I know I've never felt this way before. I love you far more than words could possibly say.”

“I feel the same way. I'm just excited to experience everything with you.”

“Me too,” he says before he kisses me. Right now I am thankful for smudge-proof lipstick. He slid his hand into mine as we exited our room.

**Johnnie**

One day, I am going to marry her, and at the rate my love for her soars it could be by the end of the year. I take her to a restaurant where I have a table reserved for us. I had her favorite flowers brought in too. Champagne and rose petals were scattered all over the table. Soft music played overhead and candles were lit and flickered in the dimly lit room. “Wow, this is beautiful,” she gasped.

“Surprised?”

“A little yeah. I knew you would do something special but this is gorgeous,” she replies. We take a seat. I pour her a glass of bubbly and one for myself.

I raised my glass, “To two people who met by fate. Kismet exists because you are proof. You are so beautiful and I feel so lucky to have you and that you have accepted my past and are willing to give us a chance. I love you, Alexis.”

Her eyes sparkle from the candles' cascading light. I caress her face. “I was scared to let you in, but I don't regret a thing. I foolishly tried to fabricate love and it blew up in my face. I tried to convince myself that a man who dated models could love a cancer patient. But with you, none of that matters. I feel we have a deep connection that is more than just physical and it will grow and develop into something we can't even begin to comprehend. For the first time in forever, I'm excited for the future. I love you,” she said.

We get our first course and chat idly throughout our dinner. She told me that as part of my birthday present, she will tell me the story of her werewolf boyfriend. It should be quite interesting to say the least. Finally, we are nearing the desert. It was a chocolate mouse. I can't wait for her to find the surprise!
