The best friend

AXEL’S POV .

Looking out of the window , l watched Rinna walk away with her hair swaying in rhythm with her hips . I wanted so badly to pull her back in the house and ask her not to leave but then hell no , l couldn’t . First of all it was our Dirty Secret and she had to also go back to her home .

“ You do have no idea how to be discreet , do you bro ? “ , Darius’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts and on turning l faced both Josh and him laughing their heads off . “ I don’t want to get in to the idea of being fucking discreet , if something is going to come out of this then am going to hide it from Xenia …. “ , I murmured before trailing off in mid sentence .

“ Iam sure Rinna wouldn’t allow to lie to her either ‘ , l added before shrugging my shoulders and when they nodded their heads , l crossed my hands across my chest . “ Rinna almost had an heart attack when you told Xenia that she slept in your room “ , Josh laughed out .

“ I like seeing her all flustered “ , l blurted out proudly while recalling the look she had on her face the moment she realized that Xenia was going to find us together in the same room . “ Oh ! God no wonder she had no idea that you had a thing for her , every time you piss her off and find her expression funny “ , Darius chimed in while leaning against the kitchen counter .

I didn’t reply to him at that but he was seriously right , l did care about Rinna but l liked teasing her more , liked seeing her plead and swear . “ Gotcha , I do like it , l don’t want her to expect much “ , l lastly responded and shaking their heads they laughed out at me .

RINNA’S POV .

Few minutes later , the cab was pulling up in to front of our house . “ Err ! “ , I sighed out heavily as soon as l walked out of the cab and after paying the driver , l made my way to the front door . “ Seriously ! “ , I wondered inwardly after staring around . My dad’s car was around in the drive way but my brother’s car wasn’t around .

For the case of my brother l was not surprised because he might be with some girls partying but for the case of my father l was damn surprised , he was always away with the new girlfriend he got , so he always left the house to both me and Mikie . With the purse in my hands , l fumbled through my keys before l found the house key and unlocked the door .

I pushed the door open and entered in . My eyes immediately fall on my lovely father who was seated on the L shaped sofa with the lap top on the table . As a business man he was always busy and only came on weekends to give us a visit . “ Father …” , I called pulling him out of his reverie .

“ Yes Rinna , you lastly back , how was your weekend at Xenia’s home ? “ , He asked with his eyes all on me . “ Dramatic as always , she said that it was our last weekend of freedom so we did everything “ , l explained with a smile on my face and he chuckled out . “ I wouldn’t expect anything else from that girl “ , He murmured with a smile on his face .

“ Yeah she is my best friend we all the same “ , I retorted before walking where he was . “ Mikie is out again ? “ , He asked with his eyebrows raised up . “ He is just like you , anyway are you going to stay tonight , this is my last day before l start Schooling “ , l muttered and at that his face dropped down . “ It’s fine dad “ , without waiting for his reply , l nodded my head understanding his situation . “ Rinna..” , . “ It’s fine dad , Mikie is gonna come back and l won’t fear in the house “ , When he began l stopped him short in mid sentence . Besides him getting a new girlfriend , he didn’t want to stay in his house .

After our mother dying , it gave him memories so l didn’t want to make him remember everything they shared together .

“ Thanks Rinna for understanding , am gonna call Mikie and inform him that l have been here “ , My father murmured . “ It’s fine father “ , l mumbled before giving him a quick peck on his forehead . After him giving me a smile in return ,l quickly made my way upstairs to my room .

While inside my room in fact before l could sit down on my bed , l heard the front door open up and shut in brief meaning that he had walked out of the house . Left alone in a silent house , l sat down on the bed and then my mind began to race through everything , everything that had happened through out the weekend .

It all started with Mikie telling me to get laid and now look it ended up happening , from his words to Axel’ first kiss to the kiss we shared at the door step and everything in between , all of it was seriously undescribable and now it felt like a dream . “ Err ! No…. “ , Shaking my head in disbelief , l ran my fingers over my lips recalling everything l shared with Axel and trying to think of what to lie to Xenia my lovely best friend .

Ignoring the lies , l inwardly wanted to figure out what the hell had just happened between us , one time he acted like l was nothing to him , responded badly to me and then the second time he acted like l was the only thing he wanted on the earth . Every thing between us was complicated and I didn’t only want to lie to Xenia but I was not also ready to explain anything to Mikie .
