When Lilies Bloom started as a quiet idea — a single image of a woman returning to an old house she once called home. I didn’t know then how much that return would come to mean. What began as Isla’s story of loss and reckoning slowly unfolded into something larger — a story about memory, forgiveness, and the quiet, stubborn strength it takes to begin again.

Throughout these pages, Isla and Jonas taught me that healing doesn’t always arrive in grand gestures or perfect endings. Sometimes it’s the soft murmur of the river after a storm, the scent of lilies breaking through the soil, the familiar warmth of someone who chooses to stay. It’s in rebuilding what’s been broken — piece by piece, heart by heart — and finding beauty in the imperfections left behind.

Hollow Creek became more than a setting for me; it became a living place, breathing through every person who dared to hold on when it would’ve been easier to let go. Through Isla’s eyes, I learned that home isn’t always where you began — it’s where you return to yourself, where the people who love you stand waiting, even after the floodwaters recede.

If this story found you at a moment when you were searching for light, I hope it reminded you that renewal is possible — that life, much like lilies, will bloom again even after the harshest winters.

To everyone who has ever carried loss, faced the ruins of what once was, or dared to plant something hopeful in the aftermath — this story is for you.

May you always find your way back to the orchard.

May you always have the courage to let your lilies bloom.
