Three years! She'd been with him for three years, and even if she, Yolanda Taylor, was unworthy, she was still a human being!
They'd been good for those three years too, so good that everyone around them said they really were a model couple.
She didn't believe it at first, but after more people said it, she believed it.
She also thought that Gwen Fox had a heart and that he really loved her too.
Yet in the end, what did she get? Five million dollars? Or did he drive her away in a cruel and desperate way? What had Yolanda Taylor done wrong for him to stab her in the heart over and over again?
She didn't know, the only thing she knew was that it hurt, it hurt like hell.
Tears fell, she finally could not hold back, hugging herself "whimpering" cried out.
Everyone said she was sober and self-aware, but only she knew that those so-called calmness, but also in order to defend the last bit of self-esteem of the strong pretense.
How could she not be in pain, she loved him, how could she not be in pain!
Inside the room was so quiet that only the sound of her crying, loneliness and pain were like two giant beasts, devouring Yolanda Taylor one bite at a time.
She never knew that loving someone could be such a miserable loss!
When the cell phone alarm rang, the sky outside was already bright.
Yolanda Taylor sat for a moment before getting out of bed and opening the curtains.
The harsh sunlight poured in and she didn't raise her hand to block it.
The hardness had cleared her up a lot, and within the jumbled memories of last night, all she could remember was pain.
Glancing in the mirror, the redness of her eyes wasn't a surprise.
Yolanda Taylor had put on eye makeup to barely hide the mess.
Just as she got back to the office, Anna came over and called her to the president's office.
Yolanda Taylor frowned a little, wondering what her profit-oriented boss wanted again.
But she really didn't have much energy to deal with it, and entered the office with a cold face, "What does PRESIDENT Farmer want to see me about?"
"Yolanda, you sit down first! Let's have a good talk!"
He said, looked up and asked Anna to make some tea, Yolanda Taylor understood, but didn't want to give the other party a step down, "No need, Anna."
After saying that, she looked at Yates Farmer again, "PRESIDENT Farmer, I know what you want to say, but I'm serious about resigning, and I'm not going to say anything more than the extra words, I've been doing a handover of my work lately, and I'd like for you to stop calling me about the project meetings."
Yates Farmer blanched, his hand clenched around his mug and he almost didn't hold back from slamming it into Yolanda Taylor.
But he held back, "Since you've made up your mind to go, I won't say anything else, and I wish you the best of luck in your future."
"Thank you, I'll go back first."
After she finished speaking, she directly got up.
Just after walking to the office door, Yolanda Taylor heard her coworkers talking about themselves.
Naturally it wasn't anything good, she raised her hand and knocked on the door, the coworker who was talking bad about her turned around and saw her, her face went white, and she pulled the corner of her mouth in a sarcastic manner, "Yolanda, when did you come back?"
"Haven't been back for long, it was right around the time you complimented me on my good looks."
The other woman's face went a shade of green and white as her words came out.
Naturally, she hadn't complimented Yolanda Taylor, but only said that with that face, she was marvelous with Gwen Fox in front of her and Martin Anderson behind her.
Now that Yolanda Taylor said this, it was obvious that Yolanda Taylor had heard everything she said just now.
Anyway, they are going to leave, Yolanda Taylor also do not bother with them, threw that sentence and then returned to her seat.
There were so many handoffs that she was busy until after ten at night.
Borden City was much quieter at this hour, and there were far fewer cars on the side of the road.
Yolanda Taylor was just about to take a step back when the van stopped, but before she could move, she was yanked inside.
