Slutty Dom wife 9
"Let go, Henry," Faye said, her voice low and tense as she tried to twist her wrist out of his grip.
They were in the narrow hallway just outside the Zhu estate's private library. The place was silent, steeped in the scent of cedar and tradition, yet the tension pulsing between them felt anything but quiet.
Henry's body was too close, his breath hot against her cheek. "I can treat you better than he does," he murmured, his eyes wild, glassy with a mix of desperation and something darker.
Faye's chest tightened. She pulled harder, but Henry's hand held fast. "No, I don't want you to, Henry. Just let me go. Last night... it was a mistake. A big one."
He leaned in further, pressing her against the wall. She felt the cool surface against her back, her heart hammering.
His hand slid up her arm. His voice dropped to a whisper. "You know," he said, his lips brushing her ear, "I didn't actually pull out last night. Imagine if you got pregnant for me... you wouldn't be able to run from me anymore."
Faye froze.
The words sliced through her composure like a razor.
She shoved him. Hard.
Henry stumbled back a step, clearly not expecting the sudden burst of strength.
"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" she hissed, her hand already raised to slap him.
But Henry caught her wrist before it landed.
His face hardened. The soft-spoken childhood friend she used to know had vanished. In his place stood a man who’d gotten too used to getting what he wanted.
"Let go of me!" she snapped again.
Henry looked at her…really looked…and something flickered in his expression. Shame? Frustration? He released her hand and stepped back, running a hand through his hair.
"I didn’t mean it like that... I just... I miss you, Faye. I made a mistake letting you go."
Faye adjusted her blouse, eyes sharp. "You made more than one mistake, Henry. And this? Whatever this is? It ends right now."
Henry looked like he wanted to say something else, but Faye didn’t wait. She turned and walked briskly down the hall, out into the estate courtyard where the morning sun was just beginning to rise.
As soon as she was out of sight, she pulled out her phone.
One Missed Call: Kai Parsons
Her stomach twisted.
Kai had said he’d pick her up.
She had to get to the hospital. She needed space. A distraction. Anything to drown out the storm building inside her.
By the time Kai arrived outside her apartment complex later that day, Faye was already there…freshly showered, dressed in a slate-grey pencil dress and kitten heels, hair pulled up, sunglasses on. A calm, composed exterior. But underneath, her thoughts were spinning.
Kai got out of the car the second he saw her. No sunglasses. No mask for the worry etched into his face.
"You look tired," he said, stepping toward her.
Faye shrugged. "It was a long day."
He reached out to touch her waist, but she instinctively stepped back.
He frowned. "What's wrong with you today? You've been off. Distant. Did something happen?"
Faye hesitated, then shook her head. "Just... stress. You know how family meetings go."
Kai didn’t buy it. Not even for a second. But he didn’t press…not yet.
He opened the car door for her and followed her in.
As the driver pulled off, silence wrapped around them. Faye looked out the window, her lips tight.
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"My place. You need rest."
She didn’t argue. Because rest sounded easier than more lies.
The Parsons estate was quiet, the late evening air carrying the scent of orchids and rain.
Inside, Kai's cook and staff greeted them briefly before disappearing into the background like shadows.
Kai watched Faye closely as she entered the living room and sat on the edge of the couch.
"Faye." He crouched in front of her, his hands resting on her knees. "If something’s wrong, I need you to tell me. I’m not going to play games with you."
She swallowed, her eyes flickering toward his.
"Did something happen with Henry?"
Faye looked away. "No."
Kai’s jaw tightened. "Don’t lie to me."
"I said no."
He stood up sharply. "Then why are there hickeys on your neck you tried to cover with concealer? Why won’t you let me touch you?"
Faye's eyes flashed. "Because I don’t owe you an explanation! We’re not married. We’re not even dating. You just declared out of nowhere that you wanted to marry me! You can’t own me, Kai."
Kai stepped back, the sting evident.
"No," he said after a moment. "But I thought... I thought you felt something."
Faye stood up. "I do. But I’m not a fucking trophy you fight Henry over. I’m not a chess piece in your power games."
He exhaled heavily, running a hand down his face. "I’m trying, Faye. I’m not good at this, but I’m trying."
She nodded. "Then give me space."
Kai opened his mouth to respond..but her phone rang.
She glanced at the screen.
Father.
Kai saw it. The sharp change in her expression. That flicker of tension that only showed up when it had to do with her family.
She hesitated… then answered.
“Hello?”
“Faye.” Her father’s voice was clipped, impatient as ever. “Where are you?”
She straightened unconsciously. “I’m at… a friend’s.”
“There’s a board emergency. The senior shareholders have called an impromptu meeting. They want you there. Now. It’s not a request.”
Her eyes widened. “Is Grandpa okay?”
“He’s the reason this is happening,” he replied flatly. “Just come. Now.”
The line cut off before she could ask anything else.
Faye lowered the phone, lips tightening.
Kai raised a brow. “Your father?”
She nodded slowly. “Something’s come up. It sounds important.”
“What is it?”
“Board meeting. Lin Corporation. My grandfather may have triggered it… I don’t know the full story yet.” She grabbed her bag.
“I’m coming with you.”
“No.” She shook her head. “This is a family thing. The last thing I need is you walking in there looking like you're about to take over the company.”
Kai scowled. “You expect me to just let you go without knowing what’s really happening?”
“It’s not like that. I can handle it. Besides…” she softened a bit, “your driver’s still outside. I’ll take him. You’ll know exactly where I am.”
He stepped in her way, searching her face. “You’re sure this isn’t some setup?”
Faye hesitated. Not because she feared her father…she knew he was a snake…but because of the weight in Kai’s gaze. The possessiveness. The fear.
“I’m not meeting Henry. I’m not going back to the Zhus,” she said quietly, reading the unspoken storm in his eyes. “I promise.”
Kai exhaled hard but nodded. “Text me when you get there.”
She stood on her toes, kissed his cheek lightly. “I will.”
Then she turned and left.
Kai watched her from the doorway, his fists clenched at his sides.
He didn’t trust her father. Not even remotely. And something about the timing…right after Faye had just begun letting her walls down again…reeked.
Something was off.
Very, very off.
And he was going to find out what. He could and wouldn't let Faye slip out of his hands.
He was going to find a way to
