Chapter 55 Can't Miss Lunch
LIlian pov :
I swallowed hard as I walked down the stairs up to the podium and every red eyes of these people were staring down at me.
I cleared my throat and did my little introduction and I turned to leave.
“ Not so fast Lilian, can you give me a second here .. come closer “ I heard Rebecca mutter I rolled my eyes and cluntched my fist then turned back to her to answer.
“Yes..”
She twirl her hairs with her hand as she shot glares at me, she can't just look at people normal, she thinks she's above everyone.
She turned and grabbed the book and pen she dropped on the table that was facing the podium then stared at me and ticked something and she narrowed her eyes and looked up at me again, what the heck is wrong with this girl.
“ What's your blood type..”
“I think that's enough you've given the girl enough truama already.” I heard David say from the back of where he was.
Rebecca snorted and looked at him, “ I'd appreciate it if you kept your mouth shut for once.”
David stood up immediately but I gave him a sign with my eyes and he nodded then sat back down grumbling lowly.
“ My blood type is O+ AA”
She raised her brow at me, “ I don't get why you said, what type of blood tyeo is that.. I'm asking whether you're a trueblood”
I shrugged and said, “ Not sure yet the elders hasn't confirmed my blood type yet but it's still going to come out as normal”
She narrowed her eyes at me again like she was trying to know whether I was lying to her but I kept a straight on face and she just nodded and waved for me to go seat down back, which of course I gladly did.
I walked back to my seat and made sure to keep my eyes down, they way these Vampires stare are intimidating.
When I sat down I breathed out the air I've been holding back since I stood beside that witch.
David touched my shoulder, “ Are you okay?”
“Yeah just a little bit shaken you know, with the eye glare and stuff.”
He nodded and faced forward while Lucy just shoot me a sympathetic look and I smiled back at her.
The introduction went on till around noon and trust me when I say, I was hell ass hungry but this people here are not even fazed or acting like they were hungry.
Few moments later :
We are currently walking down the hall back to our dorms to go get ready for lunch.
“ Is this what you guys do everyday, like you don't take breakfast..”
David made a funny face, “ We do eat but we're not always hungry for food and nope we do take breakfast but since Rebecca wanted to be bitchy, she made us all miss breakfast today on purpose”
That was when it clicked to me, “ wait so she stretched the meeting so she could make us all hungry, Who the fuck does she think she is..”
“ She's feeling like Merlin of course, Annoying piece of material” I heard Lucy mutter, seems like someone more at rage than me.
“Okay Lucy, calm down”
“She's just so annoying, you saw they way she had to specifically ask you of your blood type right”
I nodded and then entered into our room and they both followed suite.
“I know, she just wanted to know whether I was a trueblood, seems like the elders didn't share that information with her, so she got curious”
I slumped on my bed and smiled at how soft it was.
“ Are we eating at the cafeteria or should I go bring in our lunch in here ?”
Lucy nodded to David, “ Just bring it in her and try not to barge with Rebecca again, I don't think I can miss lunch”
David smirked then did a little bow, “ Be right back” then our room door went shut.
“ Is it legal to eat in our rooms here” I asked out of curiosity.
Lucy snorted and looked at me, “ you're not in a prison, of course yes”
I nodded then grabbed my phone and started going through my notifications, but there seem to be no message from Mia or Jonah yet which was strange but they already read my messages.
“ Is there no network here or something, I'm trying to get to my friends but it's not working”
“ Oh… the connection out there is automatically cut off if you get Inside here, you can only chat with people with in the range of this compound”.
My heartbeat dropped at that, “ Wait so I can't message my friends !?”.
“ Yeah, you heard me unless you do it the old age way”
“ What's that ?”
“ You write a letter, you dumbass” she said with a sigh.
“ The curse word wasn't necessary but what the..this is Insane and so annoying”
“Well you still got friends out there, I Never had a human friend though, my parents made sure of that till I got in here”
I sat upright to get the full gist, “ So they human don't know this place exist..?”
“ They do but….they don't know we're Vampires, they just think we're cute and shit”
“ Are they stupid or what… just a once over and I already know what a vampire is…”
She turned to me, “ that's because you're one of us, To them we're like them but more important like um… We're just like Armed Forces to them, weapons they could use to assasinate terrorist”
“ So they think we are the barracks… now I get you.., they don't even take a close look 'cause we get the job done”
She snapped her hands, “ Exactly.. now if you'll let me press my phone in peace”
“ Oh.. yeah Sorry” I turned my phone off and turned the other side of the bed before our door shoot wide open and I turned immediately to the door.
David stood there with an annoyed face and Lucy set up immediately with her face already shades of red.
“ Did she take our food ??”
David shook his head, “ She said if we made it back to the cafeteria on time then we can eat and if we don't.. we go Hungry”
Immediately I heard that I stood up and ran out the room, David and Lucy we're already running down the hall, As much as I want to call Rebecca bitchy, I really… really need to eat !?.
