Maps of their makeshift camps including that of his general were grafted on the sheet. He gasped, looking up into her face.
"This was our plan - to fake being defeated while we attack your general. Without a leader - we can attack from all corners," she explained to him.
He was speechless, unable to grasp the full meaning of what she was revealing to him.
What had he done?
Trusting the enemy, where had that gotten him?
His brows twitched as he stood up before her.
"I should have killed you when I had the chance," Ryder's voice was harsh as his eyes sought hers.
But her eyes weren't on his face. They were on his dangling rod bobbing behind his briefs.

The man swung his hefty club and smacked it at the back of Ryder's head. Ryder's head swam around in circles before his body sagged down into still darkness.
