Chapter 204 Agreeing To Her Temptation {4}
I would call myself a liar if I said I had forgotten all about Kelsey after our businesses were fairly concluded. I traveled down to Havana and I began my life there never bringing myself to touch a dime of what I was paid.

Life did had a way with twist, doesn't it?

While at a beach resort in Varandero, a boy about four got swallowed up at the sea. He had been swimming at the edge of the sea but unfortunately he got caught up with the waves as he tried to reach for his ball.

"Please, save my boy. Please!" His mother raced towards me.

I had become one of the famous surfer in all of Varandero. Without hesitation, I picked up my surfing board and headed out into the sea.

I couldn't explain what I'd felt by the time I rescued the boy, and returned him to his crying mother. The way she cried over him had my heart wrenching into pieces. The way passerbys whispered how the little boy shared a striking resemblance to me had me scoffing to myself.

"Thank you, thank you so much," the lithe woman cried as she hugged her son to her bossom.

There was something remarkable about her that I couldn't possibly pinpoint. She looked strangely familiar. Short blonde hair, long lashes and lips that were full and succulent.

Where had I seen her before?

"Say thank you to the man who saved you," the woman extricated the boy in her arms, twirling I'm around to face me.

"Thank you kind sir," the boy grinned at me.

I knelt before him. "What's your name?" I asked.

"Jordan," he muttered.

"Jordan," I called, glancing over at his mother, "don't give your mother a heart attack, hmm? You can always have another ball, but there can never be another Jordan." I told him.

Jordan nodded smiling at me. He had dark hair and blue eyes just like me. It struck me again on whom his mother could be?

"Em_ have we met before?" I asked Jordan's mother.

Her eyes bored into mine. The smile on her face swiftly vanished as recognition hit home.

"No, I don't think so." She feigned pretence.

There was a quiet twinkle in the depths of her eyes that seem to sparkle each time she looked at me. And that was when I knew. I knew it was her, the woman I had been running away from. Taking the hand of her son, she turned to go but I stopped her. "Kelsey?"

She froze, hesitating while Jordan's eyes flicked to either of us.

"Kelsey? It is you." I brushed back my hair in shock as I swirled her round to face me.

"Let's pretend we never met, and we can call it a nice day," her breath was visibly shaky.

"Pretend? Why would we?" My eyes fell on Jordan again. Could he my son? There was no denying the features he shared with me?

Or was she also here with her husband, Troy?

"Talk to me, Kelsey." I urged.

"I do not want to talk to you, please." She begged.

And with one regrettably look at me, I had to let her go. But I was never the same. I reached out to my younger brother and relayed everything to him.

He knew about Troy and Kelsey. My conscience wouldn't bulge that I conceal such for a long time.

"Stay around. Don't leave Varandero for now," Luis, my brother advised.

I booked a room at a near motel close to the beach. But my visitation to the shore of Varando was fruitless.

Kelsey didn't want to see me. That alone was obvious. As much as she had wanted me then, my very presence haunted her?

Then one evening while I was returning to my room, I saw her walking out the corridor. She froze when she recognized me, she was alone.

"Kelsey?" I reached towards her.

"Please, Cameron. Are you stalking me?" She quelled.

I gasped. "Hell, if I would be forced to do that. I will. Why are you avoiding me?"

"I am not avoiding you. I am clearly not in the right frame of mind to see you or converse with you right now." She rambled.

"I don't understand. But it's been four years. And I'm surprised to meet you here. Where's your husband?"

Her eyes bulged slightly. "You didn't know?"

I took in her expression, recalling a scene where she gasped in my arms. Fuck, not right now.

"Know what?" I asked.

"My son is alone, and I need to get some medications for him_"

"Is he sick?" I interrupted, worried. She wasn't here with Troy afterall. That was certain.

"He caught a cold last night. It's just some cold. I just needed to go to the pharmacy." Her tongue flicked across her lips.

"Some cold?" My brows tightened. "What's your room number?" I asked.

Even against her rambles, I retrieved her card room from her hand, unlock the door and took Jordan to the hospital.

Kelsey wouldn't stop hugging, and brushing the tears that streaked from the corner of her eyes. I was talking with Jordan which somehow I supposed it bothered and made her cry.

"It's risky to prescribe drugs for your son when you aren't a doctor." I stated when we were alone.

"You don't know anything. So don't you dare talk to me that way." She flared.

Pissed by her outburst, I grabbed her arm and hurled her to my body. "Perhaps you wouldn't say that to me if Mr. Troy had any idea what you put his son through."

She slapped my hand off. Her eyes shot daggers at me. "Well, thank God, he's not his son."

Everywhere suddenly still. "What did you say?"

"Who is Jordan's father?" I never gave up that question. I had driven both Kelsey and Jordan to the motel. And even against her wish, I forced myself in and laid Jordan to bed.

Jordan was a sweet boy and I couldn't resist holding him still. He reminded me of my little brother, and I wished to the heavens that I could protect him.

"Does it matter?" She replied.

I was tired of fighting with her. Why was she so angry to see me, and teary at the next minute whenever I talked to Jordan?

I tilted her face as I stopped before her. "I never stopped loving you, Kelsey. I respected your marriage and stayed away. If loving you was my crime, will you blame me?"

Her eyes probed me without a response. I leaned forward and brushed my lips against hers. She inhaled deeply and kissed me back.

Suddenly the heat exploded, we were kissing_ throwing all caution to the wind.

"Please stop," she halted the kiss with shaking hands.

"You need to leave." She told me.
