Chapter 81 I Found Her - Part 2
"Fabian!" Zora called out to him, and Angela lowered her head.
"I am sorry. Er.. something crossed my mind for a second," Fabian apologized staring at Zora, and he shifted his gaze to Angela. "Welcome to A&J Group. We deal in building materials," he welcomed Angela, offering her a handshake while standing to his feet.
"Thank you," Angela replied, accepting the handshake.
Zora watched the two, especially Fabian, who appeared to be in his world since he saw Angela.
"I am Fabian Manson, son and only billionaire heir of the Manson family," Fabian introduced, and Zora cleared her throat.
"About the job," Zora reminded realizing what was happening.
"Oh yes," Fabian said, still holding Angela's hand.
"She is married," Zora coughed the words out, but Fabian appeared not to be paying attention to Zora.
"We will start the interview shortly," Fabian said, and Angela pulled her hand from his, feeling a bit awkward.
After a brief conversation, Fabian went with Angela to the place prepared for the interview while Zora returned to her desk. The interview was conducted with two other colleagues, and Angela came out the best. All three interviewers chose Angela for the position.
"Congratulations, Angela, you have been chosen for the job," Fabian informed Angela.
"Thank you, Mr Manson," Angela appreciated feeling all excited.
She had just resigned from her job at Diamond Corporation, the top well-known company everyone would want to get employment in. She was happy she got another one that quickly.
"How soon can you start?" Fabian asked as he walked with Angela back to his office.
"As soon as possible," Angela replied.
"That is good. Your orientation starts tomorrow," Fabian said with a smile.
"Thank you so much. I will be here tomorrow," Angela said and excused herself.
"Are you married?" Fabian asked, making Angela halt in her steps.
"It's complicated," Angela replied, not ready to share the details.
"Hmm," Fabian said, and Angela exited the space to look for Zora.
Angela found Zora and walked to her desk. It was a huge space, and other employees were in the room, sitting behind their desks.
"I got the job," Angela informed Zora, and the two did a little 'excitement' jump, drawing the attention of the employees in the room.
"Sorry," Zora apologised and pulled Angela towards the exit.
"So what are you going to do now?" Zora asked as they walked away.
"I am going back home to get ready for tomorrow," Angela replied.
"Okay, I will help you get a cab," Zora offered.
"Don't worry, I called an Uber. It is just a minute away now," Angela informed her as they walked through the reception.
"Okay, I would walk you to your car," Zora offered, and the two walked through the door.
Soon, they were outside, and Angela got into her Uber, unaware she was being watched.
"See you at home," Zora said, waving at Angela.
"Sure," Angela replied, waving back.
The car moved out of the compound heading for Zora's apartment. Zora returned to the office to continue her work for the day.
After a couple of minutes' drive, they arrived at Zora's place. Angela paid the driver and got out of the car. She headed for the apartment and was soon on the floor heading to Zora's door, still unaware she was watched.
Inside the apartment, Angela dropped her bag on the sofa and headed for the kitchen. After a couple of minutes, she returned to the living room holding a plate of cooked rice with chicken sauce. She made herself comfortable and started enjoying her meal while watching a wildlife documentary.
Back at Eva's place, Eva had just walked into her bedroom after taking a shower. She was still at home serving her suspension even though Susan was back in the office. Her phone rang, and she answered.
"Hello?" Eva said almost like she was asking a question rather than a greeting.
"Ma'am, we found the lady you are looking for. She stays in an apartment downtown. I have sent the details to your email," the man said on the call.
"Excellent. Keep an eye on her. I would tell you what to do next," Eva said excitedly. "I will wire the money into your account in a couple of minutes," she added and ended the call.
Eva quickly dialled Susan's number, and she answered after two rings.
"I found her," Eva announced excitedly.
"You found Angela?" Susan asked on the call, her voice almost a whisper.
"Yes," Eva replied. "She lives in an apartment downtown. I have images and location," she added.
"Perfect, share them with me," Susan said.
"I will do that right away," Eva said. "So, about Bernard. When?" she asked. "I have done my part of the deal," she added.
"I will fix something for you tomorrow," Susan said.
"Thank you, Susan. You can count on me for anything," Eva said excitedly before the call ended.
Eva quickly sent all the images sent to her, including the location, to Susan's phone from her email.
At Diamond Corporation, Bryce was behind his desk, occupied with work. There was a knock on the door, and Britney, Bernard and Evans entered when Bryce invited the person in.
"Mr President, I have everything set for the movie premier and we want to run it by you since Angela is on sick leave," Britney said, and Bryce offered them a seat.
"So everything is set, but Mr Don suggested we interview the cast after the premiere, following the last time incident," Britney began.
"With the help of Evans and Mr Don, we secured a big movie theatre for the premiere. It's bigger than the one we were going to use before," she added and showed Bryce the details by handing the document out to him.
"The cost is okay. I wanted your approval to proceed with the payment. They are requesting a 50% down payment," Evans chipped in.
"I have seen the place, and it's bigger than the last chosen place was Britney said. Bernard added.
"How is the advertisement going?" Bryce asked, dropping the document which he had finished going through on his desk in front of him.
"All good. It's already on all the TV stations. Once you approve of the new location and payment is done, we will now add the location to the advertisement," Britney replied.
"Good," Bryce said. "You can go ahead with it. I am okay with the new arrangement," he added.
Britney, Evans and Bernard left Bryce's office. Bryce's mind was immediately filled with thoughts of Angela as soon as they left. It's been two days, and he still doesn't know where she was. How is she doing, and how is the baby doing?
On the other hand, Bernard returned to his office, and Susan was there waiting for him.
"Hello Bernard," Susan greeted, leaning against the edge of Bernard's desk.
