Chapter LXXIII

Maria

I was looking out the window at that confrontation that was about to happen between Alex and the Saraiva brothers and Berald.

I don't know why, but I believe the coloration of that wolf must be coherent with its level of strength. I hope I'm wrong about that.

The golden wolf attacks the three of them at an incredible speed, easily defeating the Saraiva brothers. To be honest, I didn't expect this to happen in such a dynamic way. However, Alex was able to resist. It must be because of Hogan, who is one of the strongest werewolf species.

Berald attacks him again, but this time, Alex counters the attack, striking him at the same instant as his uncle.

They roll on the grass and slowly, people were waking up which was making me worried. I hope they don't recognize Alex as one of the authors of this confusion, but suddenly, I see that time has stopped, but the fight between Alex and his uncle continues. Additionally, I could move, think, and feel. I looked at the people around me and they were in the same state as me. Was it some kind of spell or something?

Before I knew it, Aura appeared before us.

“Aura…”, I said with a smile on my face.

I was happy to see her among us.

“How did you appear here?”, Rosa asked.

“I wanted to make a surprise visit to you all. But it looks like I arrived just in time.”, she looked at the fight between Alex and Berald. “I need to tell you something. Unfortunately, Alex doesn't stand a chance against this form of werewolf. According to werewolves born under the Crimson Moon, the golden werewolf is above all. Alex's werewolf form is silver and he wouldn't stand a chance against the golden one.”

When Aura said that, I became worried. Is there another way to defeat Berald?

“Is there something we can do about it?”, I asked.

“No. But I can. I will help Alex face him. Since the Saraiva brothers were defeated, I will do something about it.”, Aura teleports and joins the confrontation between them.

When Alex is thrown to the ground and Berald was about to pounce on him, Aura uses her powers and shoots a lightning bolt at Berald, causing him to fall to the ground when hit.

Alex looked at Aura as if he didn't want help, but had no choice. Aura was going to help him, especially since they were facing a class of werewolf that Alex alone couldn't handle.

Berald attacks both of them, but Aura immobilizes him and Alex decides to cooperate. He seizes the opportunity and attacks Berald with all his might. He bites, scratches, throws punches, does everything he wants to do to defeat Berald. Then, he picks him up and throws him into the air. Alex jumps high and lands a punch that makes him fall to the ground rapidly with force. A crater had been formed and Alex was panting.

However, the outcome was that Alex's uncle was defeated. Now we could be more at ease.

Alex returns to normal and ends up passing out. It was the moment for him to rest, especially since he wasn't used to being transformed into a werewolf for a long time.”

Alex

I don't remember anything else after I defeated my uncle. The only thing I know is that when I opened my eyes, I saw Maria looking at me, waiting for me to wake up. It's amazing how she likes to do this to me, especially since she messes with my heart.

“Are you okay?”, Maria asks. “Aura got rid of Berald. We are safe now.”

I remember that Aura helped me defeat my uncle, but I thought it was all in my head, which proved not to be.

“Yes, I'm fine. And everyone else?”, I asked.

“Everyone is fine.”, Maria replied.

I gave a half smile and lay back down.

“Tired?”, Maria asks.

I just nodded and she said:

“Okay, I'll let you rest. But if you need anything, you can call me, okay?”

I focused on looking at Maria and just nodded. She gave me a quick kiss and then would have left the room.
