Chapter LXII
Maria
The months passed, and my business was on the verge of success, but there were still few clients. I know it will grow, but until then, I'll keep maintaining the current pace. Meanwhile, I strengthened bonds with everyone, even those who were with me when we moved to the city.
My relationship with Alex continues to strengthen, a good sign for a couple. Rosa and I maintained our friendship, a positive sign. We talked about various things, and she occasionally mentioned her ability to foresee the future, which intrigues me.
After two years without talking, my relationship with Heloísa needs improvement. I want to be the friend I used to be, and it seems things are improving since I've been in the village. My interactions with my grandmother and uncle are frequent, sharing stories of city life.
The Saraiva Brothers, who defended the village, helped us, especially in freeing Alex from a curse. While our connection is not very strong, I talk more with Manoela than Heitor. Andressa and I have a great relationship, not as close as with Heloísa, but good. She's curious about the village, and I don't mind answering her questions.
In my business, I enlisted Heloísa, Andressa, and Diego for help. Despite improvements, we need more clients. Diego suggested digital commerce, which is working, but I hope to attract more clients. My life is going well, but two strangers appeared—a pale woman and a bronzed man, Túlio and Julieta.
Uncertain about letting them in due to recent events, Heloísa convinced me, and we welcomed them. They revealed themselves as a werewolf and a vampire. Surprised, we accepted them, realizing they were good. Túlio and Julieta, a couple, integrated well into the community, even with their supernatural identities.
I hired Julieta, impressed by her and wanting to know who they were fleeing. I cautioned everyone not to mention it to avoid causing more worry for them.
