Chapter 160 Chapter 160

Chapter 160 Chapter 160
Carlota’s POV

I woke up with a little bit of pain in my lower back, and I tried to stand up, realizing that I was already pushed in between the both of them. I suddenly remembered everything that happened yesterday, and I realized the moon really messed with us by making us mate with each other.

Just thinking about it makes my cheeks burn red so much. Every single moment of last night kept replaying in my head, reminding me of how much I enjoyed everything and struggled in between them. It was the best thing that has happened to me so far since I got this moon power.

I thought I had control of my powers and the moon for now, but I was wrong about it. I didn't have control of it yet, and it could make me do things even when I wasn't supposed to do it. Maybe yesterday wasn't the right time for us to do what happened, but what exactly could I do?

I stood up gently while they were still sleeping and went to the bathroom to have a shower. I let the cold water touch my body as I thought about what I wanted to do next. The council decided they wanted to see us today after they had already promised to execute us today. I wonder if they are still going to keep their promise or what.

After getting out of the shower, I found both of them already awake on the bed, and believe it or not, they were holding each other by their throats like they wanted to kill each other. I thought we were in harmony yesterday, but I guess they were also under the influence of the moon.

"What do you think you're doing right now?" I asked the both of them.

Paxton turned to me. "I don't know what is going on. I just woke up, and he started attacking me."

I looked at Gabriel for an answer, and he still seemed to be angry with Paxton. What exactly is going on in his head? I hope he realizes that the bond is between the both of them and not just him alone. What should I have done about it?

"Are you not going to say anything about it? Why do you attack him so early in the morning?" I asked Gabriel.

"I woke up because he was touching me. I don't know what the hell was going on in his head. I hate having him touch me, which is why I attacked him in the first place," Gabriel explained.

I soon realized what he was trying to say. "You don't have to be so angry though. He probably thought you were me."

"That's the problem," he replied. "Even if it was you, he already had enough yesterday. Why should he touch you again this morning?"

Gabriel was being unreasonable, and I didn't know what to say anymore. I looked at Paxton. I wanted to plead with him to actually not argue with Gabriel, and he seemed to understand what I said.

"I'm not going to argue with you because of Carlota. You can do whatever you want. I don't really care," he said and walked out of the bed.

Gabriel and I were left in the room as he turned around to look at me. He looked at me like he felt happy after Paxton already left.

"I thought you were going to be harmonious after everything that happened, but it turns out that I was already wrong about everything else. You just don't want to listen to me when I ask you not to fight anymore," I told him.

He got up from the bed, shaking his head. "I promise you that's not what I meant. I just don't like seeing him. You don't have to trust him. He's going to continue..."

I cut him off. "Don't you think you should give yourself a break? If you're not going to listen to me, you don't have to come near me anymore. You should get out of the room now. I want to change."

He wanted to say something else, but I turned around without looking at him. I guess he became so annoying because I was indulging him too much. I dressed up after he walked out of the room, and I went downstairs. When I got there, I was surprised to see Paxton had made breakfast.

"You're here," he said. "Come and have some food before we go out. You need strength to deal with those people."

I smiled at him and went to sit down at the table. At the same time, Gabriel also came down and sat down beside me. He looked at Paxton while doing that, but Paxton really didn't care.

He served me some food and also gave Gabriel some, who seemed to be ashamed of himself after saying what Paxton did. We all ate in silence, and I actually enjoyed Paxton's food before we decided to leave for the council.

When we arrived at the council area, we were met with some people that we didn't know, and they were all warriors who seemed to be asked to pick us up.

"Where are the council elders? I thought they asked us to come. What do they want to do now?" Gabriel demanded from them.

"It's not something I can say. They asked us to escort you to the Chambers while they get ready for the next line of action," someone replied to us.

I soon understood what the council were trying to do. They were planning to lock us up in the ritual Chambers until they were ready to give me up to the moon. They are still waiting for ways to sacrifice me so that I don't become powerful enough to rule over everyone. If it was anyone else, they would have accepted it, but because it's me, they just don't want it.

I stopped them from arguing. "We would go. There's no need to argue with them."

We went to the Chambers to wait, and we were asked to do something that I didn't expect them to say, but I didn't still argue. As I sat down, I had enough power to break out of it if I wanted to. What was the thing they asked us to do? They brought some chains, telling us to sit down like that because it would be dangerous if we were not chained.

The warriors were only doing their job, and that was the only way they could feel assured that we were not going to get away. What exactly are they planning to do this time around?
