Chapter 103 Homewrecker

Chapter 103 Homewrecker

In the blink of an eye, the wedding day arrived, and it turned out to be a rare, beautiful day.

The sun was shining brightly, and the venue had been decorated as a seaside garden, looking dreamy and gorgeous.

Evelyn sat in the room wearing a white wedding dress, feeling especially nervous.

She had participated in many competitions and art exhibitions before, but none of them made her feel as anxious and excited as today.

"Evelyn."

Daisy walked over to her with a smile and placed a gold bracelet on her wrist, gently patting the back of her hand. "No matter what happens in the future, we and Theodore will always be your strongest support."

"If you encounter anything unhappy, just come home anytime. We'll always welcome you. Just remember one thing, never let yourself suffer!"

Hearing these words, Evelyn felt a lump in her throat and looked at her mother with teary eyes. "Mom, I've made you and Dad worry."

She would never forget how her parents had taken care of her all these years, especially after she and Arthur separated; they had embraced her without hesitation.

They had also encouraged her to have Julian and Ella, and helped her raise the two children.

Without her family's support, she didn't know if she could have made it this far or achieved what she had today.

"Why are you crying?"

Daisy wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, smiling through her own tears. "It's such a happy day, don't cry."

Evelyn bit her lip lightly and nodded, then smiled with relief. "Mom, from now on, I'll live a good life with Arthur and the children."

Daisy hugged her with emotion, reluctantly patting her back.

This was her most precious daughter. Soon Richard would be placing her hand into Arthur's hand; how could she not be moved?

But as long as Evelyn felt happy, she would support whatever she did. After all, what parent wouldn't want their child to have their wishes come true?

Half an hour later, at the venue filled with guests and media, Evelyn appeared on the red carpet in her beautiful white wedding dress.

The children sitting in the front row couldn't help but smile at the sight.

This was the wedding dress they had personally helped Evelyn choose—it had special meaning.

Arthur stood on stage, gazing at Evelyn with deep affection, feeling as if he were dreaming.

The past six years flashed through his mind, but he only wanted to remember this moment and engrave her beautiful image in his memory.

Evelyn walked slowly toward Arthur on stage, arm in arm with Richard.

Everyone was witnessing their new beginning, witnessing their reunion.

"What a perfect couple! It's such an honor to be here today!"

"I heard Mr. Collins organized this entire wedding himself, and the children also gave lots of input. To go to such lengths for a ceremony—it's so enviable!"

People couldn't help but discuss and look at Evelyn with envy.

However, just as the ceremony was about to begin, a commotion suddenly came from outside the venue.

Before everyone could react, someone rushed into the venue holding a banner, running and shouting, "Sarah is a homewrecker! Don't be fooled by her!"

"Sarah is a homewrecker! She interfered in someone else's relationship. Why should she get to be happy?"

The person's shouts grew louder and immediately caught the attention of the guests.

"What is he saying? How could Sarah possibly be a homewrecker? Isn't there some misunderstanding?"

"Could there be something we don't know about? Maybe Sarah isn't so innocent."

Evelyn looked at the intruder in shock, not understanding why he would slander her like this.

When had she ever been a homewrecker? During those years with Arthur, she had never done anything inappropriate.

Arthur reacted immediately and called security to remove the person.

"Get this unauthorized person out! Check the security system right now. How did he get the chance to get in?"

Arthur remained calm under pressure, arranging everything composedly with a steady and firm tone, without any unnecessary movements.

However, even though he reacted quickly enough, he still couldn't stop public opinion from spreading wildly.

This person had clearly come prepared, because shortly after he burst in, old photos and fabricated videos appeared almost simultaneously on online platforms, and the venue fell into chaos.

Evelyn looked around, somewhat dazed, and heard some discordant voices.

Some guests had already seen the photos online and couldn't help but discuss, "Isn't this Mr. Collins? Who's the woman in the photo?"

"Yeah, she doesn't look like Sarah. Could it be true that Sarah is a homewrecker?"

Evelyn caught the keyword, and her heart sank suddenly, as if remembering some painful past.

She would never forget the intense shock she felt when she saw that photo six years ago.

Arthur and a woman were walking out of a hotel, their state suggesting something had happened between them, making people imagine all sorts of things.

Evelyn had always wanted to forget about this because it had greatly affected her.

But only at this moment did she realize that she could never truly forget. It was carved deep in her mind, and every time the memory surfaced, it was torture.

A few minutes later, order was restored at the venue, and the ceremony continued.

Evelyn kept her head down, her face pale, still not having recovered.

Was this marriage really what she wanted? For a moment, she wavered.

However, just as she felt lost, Arthur walked up to her and took her hand. "Evelyn, don't be afraid."

He said softly in her ear, "You don't need to listen to those voices. Just look at me. No matter what happens, I'll be by your side."

Arthur's words somehow calmed Evelyn down. She looked up at him and nodded firmly, as if grasping a thread of hope.

She held Arthur's arm and, under everyone's gaze, walked step by step onto the stage, completing the entire ceremony calmly and composedly.

She had to admit that her wavering heart found balance in Arthur's outstretched hand.

The moment she stood with him, making their vows, Evelyn suddenly understood that even if old wounds were reopened, she wouldn't bleed again.

Because Arthur was beside her. She believed he wouldn't do anything to betray her, and she believed the storm would eventually pass, and they would live the life they had long desired.
