Remy’s P.O.V.
After Maddox dealt with the touchy-feely guy I slumped down onto a barstool, letting out a deep breath that I wasn’t realizing that I was holding.
“You ok sis?” Russell asked me as he hands me a glass of water.
“Yeah, now I am. That was frightening.” I tell him as I sip on the water. Aston walks up to me and checks on me too, as Maddox walks back through the door, saying something to Jett before making his way over to us.
“You ok babe?”
“Yeah, thanx to you!” I say as I throw my arms around his neck.
“Oh my God you’re shaking!” He says after gasping in acknowledgment.
“Why don’t the two of you get out of here, go home, do whatever. I just don’t think Remy should be here if she is this shaken up.” Aston says looking me over with concern.
“That sounds perfect.” He says as he helps me off the stool and towards the break room so I can grab my things out of my locker.
“Thanx.” I say to him as he puts his arm around me as we walk. I get to my locker, and I grab my purse out and slam my locker closed, locking it I turn around.
“Hey babe, you sure you’re alright?”
“Yes, I just need to get out of here and be with you!” I say putting my arms around his waist.
“Ok, let’s go then.” He said as he takes my hand in his and leads me to the front door of Oasis, before making our exit Maddox stops to talk to Jett. “Hey man, we’re leaving for the day, not sure who will be taking my place though.”
“That’s ok, after that ordeal, just get Remy home!” He says looking at me with concern. We walk out the door and to Maddox’s car, opening the passenger side door for me I get in, seeing that I am settled and fully in he then runs over to the driver’s side, opens the door and seats down, closing the door we both put on our seat beats, or at least I try. (I don’t know why my hands are shaking so much. Suddenly Maddox reaches over and gently removing my hands from the seat belt he then takes it and locks it into place for me.
“There.” He says as he kisses my cheek just before putting the key into the ignition and turning the key to start the engine. Turning the key, he then raves up the engine and smiling over to me he says. “Now let’s get you home!” He backs the car up and taking a right turn we head down the road in the direction of Jett’s house. We get to the house, he gets out first coming to my side of the car, opening my door he extends a hand out to me in which I take, and he helps me out of the car, after closing my door for me we walk up to the door hand in hand. He takes out the house key, unlocks the door, upon entering the house I hang my purse on one of the hooks on the coat rack.
“I’m taking a shower.” I say as I head in the direction towards our bedroom. I entered the room and closed the door behind me. I made my way to the dresser and opening up the top drawer, that I hardly ever go in, I come across a red velvet box that can fit into the palm of your hand I opened it and my mouth dropped, I turned around at the sound of the door opening then closing. Maddox stands there with a guilty look on his face, with tears ready to fall from my face.
“Pl….ea….se…tell….me…that this isn’t what I think this is? You….save…..this ….from….an…ex….or ARE YOU PLANNING ON BREAKING UP WITH ME AND ASKING ANOTHER GIRL TO MARRY YOU!!!” I say yelling at him. He comes up to me kneels down with his hands on my waist and his face buried into my stomach. “Oh Rem, babe, that is not what is going on here, you have to believe me! I bought that just a couple days ago.” He kisses my stomach as he speaks. “I had it all planned out for our next day off, I made a reservation at the best restaurant in town and then I was going to take you to the bridge where I was planning to……..Oh, what the heck. You know now so I must just go ahead and do it now! Rem my girl, the only woman that I have ever loved, since the day we met, I got to know you and as I did little by little my heart began to warm and feelings that I didn’t know what they were at the time, that is until Gilbert ended up with you and my heart shattered, from that moment on I knew that I was in love with you and wanted to be with only you for the rest of my life. So, Remy Holbeck will you do me the honors of being my wife?” Oh, my god did he just proposed to me (He can’t possibly mean to)
“But I am dam…..” He interrupted me.
“NO! DON’T YOU RUIN THIS PROPOSAL REM, I LOVE YOU, YOU ARE NOT DAMAGED GOODS, YOU ARE NOT TRASH OR THE LOW LIFE THA TYOU MAKE YOURSELF OUT TO BE. I KNOW WHAT I WANT AND THA TIS YOU! PLEASE SAY YOU WILL MARRY ME!!!” He shouts at me. (He doesn’t see me the way I see myself, he sees me as worthy of him)
“YES, OH YES MADDOX I WILL MARRY YOU!!!” I say as I jump into his arms and he kisses me with all the passion that he must be feeling for me because I for sure that I am doing the same.
“I’d celebrate tonight, but I have those reservations…..” I put a finger on his lips as tears of joy is falling frantically down my face.
“Hey, it’s alright. I really just wanted to cuddle on the couch tonight with you!” I told him what I really wanted from him the minute that we walked through the front door. He sets me down on my feet and puts the diamond ring on my finger. Looking at it, I couldn’t believe how big it is. “Mad, this must have costed you a fortune!”
“Nothing is too good for my girl!” He says as he picks me back up and I wrap my legs around his waist, kissing with all the passion, desire and lust I feel he has for me in this one kiss. Pulling away from our kiss he says. “I know exactly how we can celebrate!”
“How?”
“A shower together!” He says as he carries me into the bathroom, I am so embarrassed thinking about both of us naked, my face must be as red as a tomato. Placing me back down on my feet again he strips me of every piece of clothing then stripping himself. “You know you are going to be my wife soon, you are allowed to strip me too.”
