Obsession

"Ugh...it hurts," Ruby winced in pain after the always rough Henry pushed her to the ground.

Ruby held her stomach which felt painful and did her best to protect herself from Henry's physical attack.

She couldn't believe this sad day had happened after three years of their relationship getting better. Due to a big misunderstanding, the painful incident that happened to her three years ago happened again.

Henry stood in front of her with her hands clenched and her face flushed with anger that he could no longer contain. He was angry, hurt and disappointed after all the efforts he had made, but the girl in front of him still acted like an innocent victim who didn't expect to be pitied.

"Hey, look at me!" Henry said as he grabbed Ruby's hair and forced her to look at his face.

"Henry, I-"

"Bastard bitch, what do you really think of me? Why are you doing this to me...? Bastard, tell me why are you doing this to me?" Henry shouted emotionally. Rather than being angry, he was much more disappointed.

"Henry, I'm sorry. I-"

"You really are a witch, aren't you? You and your mother, you are both damn witches! Listen to me, I killed Wendy for your sake. I killed the girl I loved for years just because I wanted to have a damn slut like you! And this is what you gave me?"

"Ugh..." Ruby was in too much pain to speak. After Henry vented his anger and jealousy on her. But after he realized that Ruby was hurt, his guilt emerged.

He felt confused and lost control of his thoughts. Ever since his feelings for this girl emerged, he felt that he had lost himself. His hands were shaking, he had hit and hurt the girl he loved with his own hands.

Henry punched a large nearby tree hard, venting his guilt for hurting Ruby.

"Damn...!" His body was shaking, his breath was labored. He continued to punch the tree until his hands were injured and bleeding.

Realizing that Henry was hurting himself again, Ruby limped over to him and tried to make him stop.

"Henry, please stop! It was my fault, I'm sorry. Please stop-"

"Henry...!"

Damian called him after trying hard to find Henry and Ruby. Damian came with Jacob, while Aiden looked for them from a different direction.

They were already too far from the forest entrance and there were many wild animals in this place. If they didn't leave before sunset, they would be lost.

Damian tried to control his emotions, he couldn't believe Henry would go that far and now he had created a mess.

"Wendy couldn't be saved, the police suspect that you are most likely the perpetrator!" Damian said.

"You came here to say that? Do you think I'm scared?"

"What are you really thinking? What is your goal?"

"You already know what my goal is, right? I want to have her for myself. Ruby is only mine, I won't let you take her from me!"

"Henry, you-"

"Call me crazy! Call me sick! I will be a nightmare for all of you and I will oppose you no matter if you like it or not...!" He said as he grabbed Ruby's hand and forced her to go with him.

"Where are you going, Henry?" Jacob tried to catch up with him, he was sure Henry had lost his mind.

Henry took Ruby deeper into the forest, he took out a knife from his trouser pocket. Realizing that he appears to be about to do something dangerous, Damian and Jacob attempt to pursue him.

Henry's steps stopped when in front of him there was a waterfall that was quite high and steep. He couldn't go any further and when he looked back, he could see Damian and Jacob still following him.

"Henry, where are we going?" Ruby asked. She didn't know where Henry would take her anymore. This young man was so obsessed with her that he was determined to do crazy things that made no sense.

Henry stared for a moment, then kissed her lips lovingly. His eyes were teary, he looked so hurt.

"Ruby, do you love me? Do you love me to death?"

"Henry, I-"

"You love me, don't you? You love me to death, don't you?" He said. Ruby trembled, she felt Henry was going to do something bad to her.

"Henry, let's go home and fix everything before it's too late. I promise I won't leave you, I promise I-"

"Lies...! You're a liar, Ruby! You always lie, you're a liar! If you can't be completely mine, then no one will be able to have you!"

Henry pushed her until she felt like her body was floating in the air. She fell and her wide open eyes caught Henry's face which looked so cold.

"Henry-"

"Ruby...!"

Damian and Jacob screamed when they saw Ruby fall from a high waterfall. Damian ran quickly and tried to grab her hand. But it was too late, Ruby fell and it was impossible for her to survive.

"Oh no, Ruby....!"
