Her rage

Her rage
Author's Point of View:

The moment of the trial had finally arrived, and the entire mansion was abuzz with excitement. The grand arena, typically reserved for lavish tournaments, had been transformed into a makeshift boxing ring. The air was electric, thick with anticipation.

As Sicilia stepped into the ring, a collective gasp echoed through the crowd. The onlookers couldn't believe their eyes – a maid, facing off against the formidable Beta Victor? It was unheard of. Whispers and murmurs spread like wildfire:

"A maid against a Beta? This will be a slaughter!"

"Has Alpha Ken lost his mind?"

"Good riddance to that rude bitch!”

"You are right, she is indeed a bitch. Can you believe that she lied against Crystal in the presence of Lady Patricia?”
Despite the skepticism, Sicilia's newly made friends were present, cheering her on. Clara, Tessa, and Crystal sat in the front row, their faces etched with worry and concern. And that moment Sicilia wished that Clara would leave the trial because she was pregnant and she didn't want her to have a heart attack.

Clara, clutching her swollen belly, whispered to Tessa, "I don't know how she'll survive this. Why would she even think of doing something like this? This is murder!"

Tessa's eyes shone with determination. "Sicilia's stronger than you think. She'll prove them wrong. Also, I heard that she would be promoted to a war lady if she wins."

Crystal, the maid who baked the cake with Sicilia, wore a different face. She didn't look impressed but was secretly rooting for Anita. "Alpha Ken wouldn't have chosen Victor if he didn't think Sicilia had a chance."

Silence descended in the grand arena, but Clara was shaking in fear. You would think Sicilia was her sister.

“I know that you have a type of relationship with Sicilia, but I didn't know it was this huge. By the way, how did the both of you meet? And why is Sicilia so cold in nature?” Tessa asked Clara curiously, trying to start a friendly conversation.

“I haven't known Sicilia that long," Clara said and laughed about it. “We both met in the slave's carriage, apparently, Sicilia was mistaken for a maid. She was also cold to me…. I mean she is still sometimes cold, but I saw in her an innocent girl who had been forcefully defiled. She acts ruthless, but deep inside, Sicilia has love and a bright light, but she is trying to destroy the love. Darkness has covered the light, she needs someone to help her out.” She explained with a solemn voice.
Tessa's eyes widened in surprise, intrigued by Clara's words. "Forcibly defiled? What do you mean?"

Clara's expression turned somber, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know for sure, but I think Sicilia was... harmed, before coming to the mansion. She's been through unspeakable horrors. That's why she puts up a tough exterior, to protect herself."

Crystal's expression softened, her earlier skepticism forgotten. "Poor Sicilia. I had no idea."

Tessa nodded sympathetically. "No wonder she's so guarded. But Clara, you've gotten close to her. What's she like, beneath the surface?"

Clara's face lit up with a warm smile. "Sicilia's... complex. Fiercely loyal, intelligent, and kind. She's been through hell, but she's still standing. And when she cares for someone, she'll do anything to protect them."

"Aww, you are so lucky to have her, Clara,” Tessa moaned.

Meanwhile, Ken's two mistresses, Arianna and Brenda, sat in the opposite corner, their faces twisted with malice. They had never liked Sicilia, viewing her as a threat to their status.

"This will be the end of that insolent maid," Brenda whispered, her voice dripping with venom.

Arianna nodded in agreement. "Good riddance. She's been a thorn in our side for far too long. A fool like her thinks she can make a mockery of me in front of the Alpha!”

Among the people who wished death for Sicilia was Delilah, in fact, she was the one in the front row.

Lady Priya was seated beside her brother, and she kept looking at his twisted lips, closely watching his expression and trying to figure out the main reason why he wanted Sicilia to fight with Ken.

The boxing ring itself was a stark contrast to the opulent castle surroundings. The canvas floor was marked with a large, crimson square, surrounded by ropes and turnbuckles. The air was heavy with the scent of sweat and anticipation.

Sicilia, dressed in a sleek, black jumpsuit, her hair tied back in a ponytail, stood tall, her eyes locked onto Victor. Her heart pounded in her chest, but she refused to back down.

‘This is not my first fight, neither would this be my last! I am Sicilia, the Princess of Hell!’ She murmured under her breath.

Victor, donning a crisp, white shirt and black pants, his eyes gleaming with intensity, flexed his lean muscles. His gaze never left Sicilia's, a hint of curiosity flickering in his expression.
He was still intimidated, and although he had vowed never to hit a woman, he had to do it to have Ken to himself, ‘forever’.”

The crowd fell silent as the referee, a grizzled old warrior, stepped forward.

"Welcome, nobles and guests, to the trial of Sicilia, maid to the castle, against Beta Victor! Let the battle begin!"

Sicilia didn't like it as the referee called her a maid, but she swallowed her pride, vowing to teach him a bitter lesson later.

The bell rang, signaling the start of the trial. Sicilia and Victor faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare, their fists clenched, ready to clash in a battle that would determine Sicilia's fate.

Sicilia's thoughts flashed to Clara and Tessa, her newfound friends. She knew she had to win, not just for herself, but to make them proud.
She remembered Frank's warning.

‘Sicilia, when you slaughter a man, make sure to destroy his children also, or else, they will come for vengeance.’
She was determined, not to destroy only Ken, but everyone he was related to.

Victor, his expression unreadable, flexed his lean muscles. "Let's see what you're made of, maid."

The crowd erupted into cheers and chants, their voices echoing through the grand arena.
