"You still haven't changed, brother-in-law" Ryan said with a wry chuckle.

"I haven't because that's the best of me. So, how have you been? Do you make friends in the human world, and how were you able to explore it?" Alpha Nathan asked with a smirk.

"Well, it really has been toxic; humans are very stubborn and self-centered; they don't listen easily, and each time I have to use my power just to get what I want, "he explained with a dry chuckle. Alpha Nathan was shocked at his revelation.

"Hope you didn't kill anyone" he asked, staring straight into his eyes.

"Maybe I wouldn't have, but I killed two unintentionally. They just find their way and provoke me, so I deal with them" he replied, and Alpha Nathan nodded his head.

"I can see you didn't have a good time being there; you should have come back earlier instead of staying so long" he said, tapping his back.

"I was just trying to fit in, but oh my God, it was all bullshit that some of their girls are giving me this sign,but I don't like any of them until I find a wolf like myself. So smart and beautiful, maybe I should have come back, but reality stuck me, as I had brag not to take over our family business after what happened with me and my father. It was tough to get through it" he scoffed and Nathan smirked.

"So should I say we have a wedding to plan soon? Nathan said teasily.

"Never; we are still trying to settle in. Maybe I will inform you when the right time comes" He chuckled softly, and Nathan nodded his head.

"Okay, Ryan, I will get back to work. The elders must be waiting. We will probably talk after the occasion. Have a great time, and I must say you are welcome back to the pack." They hugged each other slightly, and Ryan chuckled, looking at him walk away. He saw Mia going upstairs, so he followed her. Mia realized someone was following her from the footsteps and kept her guards up,with her claws and fangs appearing ready to fight, and the closer the foot got, the more things became tense, so she decided to attack and rushed to the person in rage. She had already thrown the person against the wall before realizing it was her brother. He managed to get up, holding his waist.

"Do you plan to kill your younger brother? he whimpered, holding his waist.

"Your moves are suspicious. Anyone in my position would have done the same, so I felt no remorse Because it's your fault." She turned to leave.

"I am still proud of you because you are still as fiery as before. Just that I was wondering" he said after her, and she halted and turned back.

"Just what?" She asked, her eyes focused on him. He scoffed and moved closer to her.

"I mean, how were you able to tolerate her? I knew she was a human. I don't like them. Are you just going to keep watching without doing anything about it?" He gulps down his lumps, and she makes a gesture.

"Why don't you enlighten me? Ryan I don't know about the personal hatred you have for humans. But I must say it will be better for you if you stay out of my personal affairs. I accepted this relationship, and I will deal with anything that comes my way," She replied pretentiously.

"Why do I feel that you have been fishy? I know you very well. Did you have any ulterior motives for accepting this? You should know that I can help you. I fucking hate human gut; they should know we rule the world. I am ready to do anything for you, sister." He held her hand, and her emotions almost swayed her, but she quickly controlled herself.

"All I want is peace in this palace, nothing more. So I will advise you to stay away from my personal affairs. You go back downstairs. I need to get something in my room. I will join you soon." She tapped him, and he nodded positively.

"If that's all you want, I will always have your back" he said, turning to leave.

"I am sorry, Ryan; I lied Because I don't want you to get involved. This Is my life, and I should be responsible for it. If I involved many people in my plan, we might be caught. But I will just wait for the perfect timing" she thought, heading towards her room.

Ryan, who felt disappointed, was checking around the house when he saw Emma chatting with some ladies, from the way they talk they must be friends, while his mother and Sarah were sitting on a sofa chatting and playing games together. He decided to approach Emma to know what she thought of his sister, even though he had heard a little from his mother that she promised to take her like a sister.

She moved closer to them.

"Hi ladies" he said with a cute smile on his face.

"Hi handsome" One of them winked at him.

"Hey Zara, that's my brother-in-law; stop using that eye on him" Emma said, and they all laughed playfully.

"I was just trying my luck; I don't want to remain single forever. I have faced a lot trying to check if I would see my mate, but maybe an Omega like me isn't destined to have a mate" she said, and they all chuckled. Ryan smile.

"Sorry about that" he said pretending to be a cool guy.

"Emma, can we talk before the ritual? "he further says, and her friends scoffed.

"What! Can't I see my brother again? she asked, with a raised eyeball.

"You can go, Luna; we've forgotten you aren't single again." One of them said it teasingly.

"I promise not to keep you girls waiting. Just a few minutes" Ryan said, smiling. They both walked through the hallway, and silence filled the air. Emma chose to break the silence since she couldn't keep up with it again.
