Chapter 98 CELINA IS ERICA

Chapter 98 CELINA IS ERICA
Aaron's POV

“Let’s meet up!”

I stared down at the message from the unknown number, and I just sneered. There was no way I was going to meet up with whoever had sent this.

I kept my phone facedown and turned to the man tied to the chair. He was bleeding from his brow and lips.

“So, where were we?” I asked, then turned to the table filled with equipment. I ran my hands over the multiple weapons until they landed on a pair of gigantic scissors.

“This will do!” I said softly and turned to the man, whose eyes had widened in fear.

“What do you think?” I asked, and he trembled.

“I can explain, please!” He begged, fidgeting so hard as he tried to get loose from the chair.

I just glared at him, and my lip twitched.

“Three hours ago, I gave you a chance. You blew it, not me,” I muttered and walked closer to the man.

“Please, I will pay anything. I will tell you everything, even secrets you don’t wish to know. You can use me,” he begged, and I strode toward him slowly.

“No need. You wouldn’t live to see the day anyways!”

He screamed at the top of his lungs when I stood in front of him.

“Hold him down!” I said to my man behind him.

He stretched the traitor’s wrist out while the man screamed.

I placed his middle finger between the scissors.

“You were so cocky earlier, weren’t you? You even showed me the middle finger,” I said, and then chopped down on it.

His scream filled the entire warehouse, and he began to shiver. I just stared, nothing flickering across my face.

Blood dripped down, even staining my shoe, and I gritted my teeth. I slapped the back of his head.

“See what you’ve done? Do you know how much these shoes cost?” I asked in sheer disbelief.

He bit down on his lip, trying not to cry.

I reached for the cigarette in my pocket, lit it up, and placed it between my lips.

“I’m not done yet,” I whispered softly and walked back to the table, about to pick another weapon when my phone vibrated again.

“Who the fuck keeps disturbing me?” I thought and reached for the phone.

It was an unknown number. My eyes narrowed because, from the last four digits, I knew who this number belonged to.

Hadn’t it been years? What did she want now?

I picked up anyway.

“What!”

My voice came out cold and unwelcoming.

She clicked her tongue and chuckled darkly.

“We haven’t seen each other in so many years, and this is your welcome tone?” she asked.

“I wasn’t welcoming you,” I replied.

She inhaled sharply. I could almost hear her breath through the call.

“Since you have nothing important to say to me, don’t call me ever again!” I said, about to end the call.

“Not even if it’s about Celina?” she asked.

My eyes darkened. "Speak!” I said, and she scoffed.

“Let’s meet up. I will send the location—”

“No, I will send it!”

With that, I ended the call and then texted a café address to the unknown number because I knew it was her.

“Take care of him!” I said, placed the phone into my pocket, and walked out.

“Boss! Boss!” the man screamed, but I never turned back.

I slammed the door shut.

I walked into my private suite and headed straight for the shower. I couldn’t reek of blood, especially not when I was going to be meeting her in a public space.

I twisted the shower knob and let the water slide down my body.

My thoughts trailed back to Celina. I heard her giggle echo in my ear, and I couldn’t help but smile.

Then her face changed to Erica.

That cold look flashed through my mind, and my eyes snapped open.

I heard my room door click open and turned off the shower. I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked out.

Diva froze in her steps. She gazed at me from head to toe and swallowed hard before looking away.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, and she pulled out a folder from the bag she had on her.

“I found out something important!” she said, and this made my eyes narrow.

“What?” I asked, and then my eyes dimmed.

“How’s Erica doing?”

The words slipped out, and Diva smiled.

“So, you care about her now? Aren’t you entertaining Celina anymore?” she taunted, trying to pinch a spot in my heart, but I just glared.

“Cut to the chase!”

“She’s with Jaxon. To be honest, they make a good couple. She’s been kissing him, rolling her tongue in and out!”

Diva said it while even gesturing at how Jaxon held what was mine.

A dark chuckle escaped from my lips, and Diva stopped.

Clearly, she had already seen the murderous gleam in my eyes, so she backed out.

“Erica,” I muttered the name and licked my lips.

She’s playing with fire. She’s trying to draw me in.

My lips twitched upward, and I walked toward the folder.

I flipped through the first page, and when my eyes landed on two photos and a medical record, my lip twitched.

I closed the folder and slammed my hand onto the desk.

My jaw tightened, and a dark, sadistic pleasure shimmered in my eyes.

“Little Bee,” I said softly.

ONE HOUR LATER

I walked into the restaurant. I was dressed in a simple blue shirt and black trousers, with comfy shoes.

She raised her brow as she gazed at me from head to toe, her eyes lingering on the tattoo on my neck.

“You changed a lot!” she said.

I ignored her words and sat down. “So? What do you know about Celina?” I asked, and a smile curved onto her lips.

“She’s alive! And currently hiding under the identity of Erica!” she said, but I didn’t seem surprised, and she scoffed.

“Since when did you know?” she asked.

I didn’t reply and called for the waitress.

“Why did you call me here, really?” I said as the waitress walked over.

“What would you like?” she asked.

“Coffee. No sugar, no milk,” I said, she wrote it down, then turned to Sapphire.

“Iced Americano,” Sapphire said, and the waitress walked away.

“I want to kill Erica. Finish what I started!” she said.

My eyes darkened at those words. “Okay!” I said, and she froze.

Shock flashed in her eyes.

“You aren’t stopping me?” she asked, gazing at me suspiciously.

“I’m saying this because you wouldn’t be able to kill Erica.”

Sapphire chuckled at my words. “Do you underestimate me?” she asked, her tone dripping with venom and anger.

“Yes.”

Her lips parted to argue, but I cut her off.

“Celina always took first, even in high school, and in everything. You aren’t even up to the level of the dirt underneath her heel,” I said.

She slammed her fist onto the table.

It attracted the attention of the others, but Sapphire didn’t care.

“What? Take those words back! She stole my spot. She stole everything from me. Who said I can’t take it back from her? I did that ten years ago. Who said I can’t do it again?” she screamed, but it only made me lick my lips in disgust.

“Celina earned everything. You simply weren’t good enough or up to her level to compete,” I stated.

She laughed. It was filled with pain and anger. “Then let’s make a bet!” she said as the laughter died down.

I gazed at her and then...

“Okay. If you can kill Erica, you can have my head too.”
