Chapter 182 You Can Always Contact Me
William: [No need.]
William: [You did well on this. Go see Tony for your bonus.]
In the Peace Group secretary's office, after receiving William's reply, a cold gleam flashed in Molly's eyes, and the corners of her mouth lifted involuntarily.
Ruining Sophia's reputation was just her first move. The main goal was to win William's trust, so he would assign her more matters related to Sophia.
From the looks of it, she had already succeeded.
Meanwhile, Tony, sitting not far away, immediately looked up when he received William's message. He happened to catch the ruthlessness and smugness in Molly's eyes. A flash of surprise crossed his face.
When Molly noticed his gaze turning toward her, he met her eyes directly and smiled, saying in front of everyone, "Mr. Smith says Ms. White has been doing great work lately and asked me to give you an extra bonus."
The eyes of all the other secretaries in the office shifted to Molly.
A few minutes later, Tony gave her the bonus in front of everyone and praised her attention to detail, telling everyone to learn from her.
Molly said, "This is just what I should be doing."
Tony leaned closer and lowered his voice. "The Second Secretary position has been vacant for a long time. Ms. White, I have high hopes for you."
Although Tony was the CEO's secretary at Peace Group, his position was equivalent to a general manager at other companies.
The Second Secretary position ranked just below him.
It had always been a goal that other secretaries competed for.
In the workplace, everyone was smart.
Tony's pointed remark instantly made the colleagues who had been the Second Secretary position wary of Molly.
Molly also noticed everyone's reaction, and her expression stiffened.
She smiled and said to everyone, "I got a bonus today, let me treat everyone to dinner tonight."
The people in the office who had been on good terms with her all found excuses to decline.
The good relationships Molly had spent so much time and effort building with her colleagues now fell apart.
After saying those words, Tony took his phone to the transparent soundproof room specifically for phone calls and reported everything to William—Molly's earlier expression and everyone else's reactions.

The car stopped in the underground garage of the Johnson Villa.
Sophia got out first and walked around to the other side, preparing to take Emily from William's arms.
However, the sleeping Emily had a tight grip on his shirt. Even when Sophia leaned in to coax her, Emily still wouldn't let go.
William glanced at her sideways, "Let me do it."
He gently patted Emily's back, "It's okay, keep sleeping."
Sophia fell silent.
William's movements were very practiced. He first adjusted the jacket covering Emily to shield her from the wind, then quickly got out of the car with her in his arms and strode toward the elevator.
James and Michael hadn't been to the Johnson Villa in a long time, and excitement was written all over their faces.
They jogged over to press the elevator button, waving at Sophia and saying quietly, "Mom, hurry."
The elevator went straight to the top floor. William carried Emily to the master bedroom as if he were completely familiar with the place, while Sophia followed behind, unsure what to say..
Things had already reached this point. Anything she said now would be meaningless..
William removed the jacket covering Emily and set it aside, then took off her shoes, knelt on one knee by the bed, and gently patted her back.
When he saw she hadn't woken up, he carefully laid her down on the bed.
But the moment Emily's back touched the mattress, her grip on his shirt tightened, and she leaned toward him, clearly unwilling to sleep on the bed alone.
William knew exactly what to do.
James and Michael had been the same way when they were little.
His deep voice dropped much lower, "I'm right here, Emily, don't be scared."
William coaxed her gently, patting her arm until Emily finally settled down and rolled onto the bed. Only then did he tuck her in and quietly step back.
At the master bedroom door.
Sophia subtly withdrew her gaze and thanked him distantly, "Sorry to trouble you."
James and Michael stood beside her, peeking through the doorway. Seeing Emily sleeping soundly, they broke into smiles.
"Dad, you're amazing! You got Emily to sleep."
William had only given himself half a day off, he still had to go to the company for a meeting in the afternoon.
Most importantly, to deal with Molly.
The incident had just broken online, and Molly had rushed forward, claiming she had "evidence" to prove Sophia was innocent. It seemed too deliberate.
He touched James and Michael's heads and asked, "Come with me to the company, or stay here with your mom?"
They unanimously said they wanted to stay at the Johnson Villa and play with Emily when she woke up.
Hearing this, William looked intently at Sophia. "Is it convenient to watch these two?"
Sophia glanced at him, "It's fine."
William's long lashes were thick, his eyes deep and thoughtful as he looked at her without speaking.
After playing so many games in the morning, James and Michael had worked up a sweat. Sophia said , "James, take Michael to the room and start a bath first. I'll come help you wash up in a bit, okay?"
James happily led Michael away.
Just to be safe, Sophia asked Allan to keep an eye on them first, in case anything happened.
William said, "I know you're capable of handling today's situation well now, but if you need anything, you can contact me."
Sophia turned around, "No need."
She went to the study to call Rat and ask about the situation.
They had returned from kindergarten in the Johnson family's special commercial vehicle for picking up the children. The black Maybach was parked outside the Johnson Villa courtyard. Through the study window, Sophia saw William leaving
He seemed to sense something.
Before getting in the car, he turned to look at the study window.
Sophia calmly drew the curtains.
Tammy stayed home, excitedly clutching her phone—a new smartphone she'd bought at a phone store in Forton County with the payment Molly had given her.
The village did have internet.
It's just that Russell and Cindy had never bought her a smartphone before.
Tammy had always used an old button-style phone that could make calls but couldn't browse the internet or watch videos.
Since that article was published, she'd been watching the comments below it, checking day after day. But not long after it was posted, the article was taken down, which made her very angry.
Despite Tammy's usual fierce demeanor, she was actually a college graduate.
She quickly called Molly, asking urgently, "Why is the article gone? Don't tell me Sophia got it taken down!"
Molly had given Tammy a temporary contact number. When she received the call, she calmly glanced around and got up to leave the secretary's office.
She thought she was being discreet, but one of the male secretaries had his eye on her and quietly followed.
Meanwhile, on Sophia's side.
She had Rat directly release the message they'd prepared.
When people saw this content, everyone's eyes widened in disbelief. Not a single sentence throughout refuted the matter, yet it got everyone who clicked on it fired up!
