Chapter 29 Chapter 29

Chapter 29 Chapter 29
Selena

Now they were four, Valeria and her friend standing beside the car while Sarah and Janet stood at my left side.

“Oh, if it isn't our assistant, what are you doing here, Michelle?” Janet asked the girl with Valeria.

“Checking out of our assistant car of course. She is rich,” This time, it was mockery as they stared at me.

I sighed deeply. “We have just ten minutes before work, and I would like to prepare myself so I will leave you guys be.” I turned to leave.

“You don’t have to be in a rush now, Selena. After all, you are with the boss, so aren’t you the boss now?” Valeria bursts into laughter.

I stopped. I just knew she was going this way, though I had wished she wouldn't.

Seeing the close contact between me, and Theodore, I knew she was going to pick offenses.

I should walk out, but isn’t walking out confirming the new accusation Valeria just set? I turned to them.

“I don’t know what you are talking about, so please don’t say that, and confuse others.” I stared dead at her eyes.

“Really,” Valeria walked closer to me, “look at that sharp tone. Of course, you’ll have that with the boss's backing. If it isn’t the boss, tell me who owns the car, and also why I saw you that close to the boss's face in his office.” She spat.

The other three looked at each other and soon started murmuring.

Sarah scoffed. “I never knew you were like that, Selena. Why am I even surprised, you had even clung to Stephen, acting all cutely. Poor him, you found a bigger fish.”

I closed my eyes, disappointed at their narrowed brain.

When I opened it, I couldn’t help, but glare. “Please stop spouting nonsense,” I said to Sarah, then to Valaria, “It’s okay if you want to slander me, you should be careful of the boss, after all I know you like him too.” I turned to leave. I didn’t have to add the last part.

“This fucking bitch, stop!” Valeria yelled, and I stopped.

“How dare you say that to me?” She was already in front of me, her finger poking my chest, causing me to step back.

Everything was going wrong.

“So what if I like the boss, at least I have dignity to know not to go close to him, but you, you not only slept with him, but even got a private car from him, isn’t that enough evidence to show how cheap you are!” She yelled, and I flinched.

But unlike my usual self of curling in, accepting defeat. I stepped closer and poked her chest back.

“Cheap? Being with the boss is cheap? We both know it isn’t.” Now I was saying rubbish.

“So what if the boss fancies me, at least I don’t move around crawling for his attention unlike a certain pathetic person,” I spoke slowly, for her ears.

But maybe I shouldn’t, because the next thing I felt was a strike on my face, motioning my face to the side.

I was slapped. My right ear ring, my eyes hurt as I held my now hot cheeks.

This bitch, I bit the inside of my mouth. How dare she? Tears bawled in my ears.

“What’s going on here?” I snapped my head up to the sound of Anastasia’s voice.

“Oh oh, Mrs. Anastasia, you are early today.” Valeria beamed, walking to her. “You don’t have to worry, just the girls chatting up.”

I swallowed the lumps in my throat and turned, leaving them behind.

My hands clenched on my bag as I made my way inside my office. My breath steadying, chanting ways to my heart.

It’s fine.

I’m alright.

God. I wiped the tears that dropped.

It was just a slap. Though her hand was strong yet it was just a slap.

I’ve received worse than that. Maybe I have gone too soft after a few days of living comfortably.

Valeria was a bitch, and filled with so much hatred. If she likes the boss so much, why doesn’t she go after him, and make it known, instead of attacking me?

I dropped my bag. Anger flowed through my veins as everything that happened at the parking space filled my head again.

“If only I had slapped her back.” I lamented, glaring into space.

My eyes met the key of the car that I had placed on the table.

If only he hadn’t gone against me by exchanging the cars then I wouldn’t have been humiliated today. And something tells me it was just the beginning.

“So annoying.” I picked the key and stormed out.

Though it was still early, he could be inside. Don't some CEOs sleep in their offices or something?

And considering the company had so much workload lately.

I knocked on the door and waited but there was no response.

Maybe he wasn't back yet?

Yet I turned the doorknob just to be sure, but surprisingly it opened.

“Oh,” I entered inside. The room was dark, but Theodore was nowhere to be found.

“Why was the door open if he wasn't inside?” I ask no one, but myself.

It's better I head back. I turned to leave, but thought against it.

It's better to drop the key and let him find it when he gets back. Then, I’ll ask him to return my car. I could still feel the pain resonating in my cheeks.

And that was when my eyes stopped at the open door, light emanating from it. How did I miss it? It was so obvious.

Could it be a room and he was inside?

I moved to it and then,

“Mm.”

I stopped. Someone moaned. My eyes widened. From the sounds, it was a girl, but..but..

I should stop and go back to my office, but no, my feet carried me inside the room, the moaning turning louder at each step, and then,

I froze, my legs fixed on the floor at the sight in front of me.

A long tattoo runs all over his left shoulder to his side chest.

His body was just like I had imagined, muscular, and..

My eyes snapped down, to his spread legs, and between them was someone—a woman covered with the blanket. She moved in, and out over his member, sloppy sounds filling the room.

My eyes burn, my face heats up, and when my eyes met his, my legs shrink.

His eyes were filled with so much lust.
