Chapter 146
He sighed. “Forget it, I forgive you. I know your current bitterness is because of Maricela. No matter what I say, you always have a prejudice against Maricela. I’ve said it, once I arrange my work these few days, I’ll take you out. Didn’t you want to make up for the honeymoon regret?
This time, we’ll bring Grandma along. Don’t always be jealous.”
Before leaving, he pinched her check.
Still thought she was jealous.
She didn’t want to explain anymore; anyway, he wouldn’t listen even if she did.
Her mouth tasted salty, all blood taste, a bit uncomfortable. She got up to rinse her mouth and came out to see Grand- ma waiting for her outside.
Grandma was very worried. “Lucille, what’s really going on between you two?”
“Grandma…” Lucille felt there was no need to hide it from Grandma anymore. “He and I, we’re actually not suitable.
You know, back then, it was because I saved him that he married me. But in fact, he doesn’t like me, and I don’t like him. It’s better for us to separate.”
Grandma sighed and hugged her. “Marriage is a big deal, can’t force it. Grandma understands. If it’s really not happy, separating early is good. But, you only have a few days before going abroad, and you still haven’t told him?”
Actually, it wasn’t that Lucille didn’t want to tell him, but she always had a feeling that if she told him, Cedrick would definitely stop her, and who knows what trouble might happen. So, she simply didn’t say, waiting until she left, and he would naturally understand.
“Grandma, I will tell him. I’ll find the right time.”
On the day she leaves, she’ll leave Cedrick a letter. She leaned on Grandma. “Grandma, I’ll sleep with you tonight.”
“Okay!”
Grandma patted her back kindly.
“Grandma, the passport will be mailed directly home in a while. Don’t worry. When I come back, I’ll take you to ap- ply for the visa. By August, we can go together to reunite with Auntie.”
“I know.”
Waking up from sleep, it was the fifth day of the countdown.
For these five days, she didn’t plan to go home again. She prepared to go to the holistic health clinic every morning.

Since Dr. Mary is so responsible, hoping she completes her recovery, she’ll persist for a few more days. In the after- noon, she’ll go back to Grandma’s house and focus on accompanying Grandma.
However, in the morning, just as she sat down to have breakfast with Grandma, there was movement in the yard out-
side.
“Mom!
Mom!”
It was actually Lucille’s father, Jaxon Radford.
Lucille frowned: How did he come?
Before the thought could turn, Jaxon had already rushed into the house, followed by Lucille’s mother Monica Garrett and brother Tristen.
“Came?”
Grandma didn’t have much attitude, only asked, “Have you had breakfast?”
“Ate ate ate.”
Jaxon said repeatedly, “Oh my, our president’s wife is also here?”
Lucille had no idea whether that remark was sarcastic or flattering. Truth be told, she’d hardly heard any kind words from Jaxon her entire life. After their big blowup at home last time, they’d completely lost contact. As for Grandma, her father rarely visited throughout the year, and when he did, it was always to fleece her.
So when her dad started his passive–aggressive nonsense, Lucille ignored him and kept slurping her noodles.
“What brings you here today?”
Grandma didn’t even look up. “Didn’t I give you money?”
Lucille: ?
?
What money?
Grandma was still giving him money?
Had the world turned upside down?
“Why are you taking Grandma’s money?”
Lucille pushed her noodle bowl away, appetite gone.
