Chapter 78
***~Riley~***
Mindlessness is surprising, intoxicating even. A high I’ve only ever achieved at the moment Draven’s lips connected with mine.
I couldn’t breathe, the air trapped, lodging itself in my throat as his lips moved against my own, coaxing me, begging for me to open up— to give in. For the life of me, I couldn’t move. I didn't dare to for fear that I'd shatter this illusion. My lips trembled beneath his own as did my entire body.
“Open for me, my sweet girl.” He whispered in the air between us, his lips brushed against mine with every word. Draven gazed up into my wide eyes and then he did the unthinkable--he grinned. A lazy, sexy, knowing curvature that tugged at my heart violently, causing a ripple as it ricocheted in my chest.
“Breathe, princess. Let me in.” he cooed as he dipped his head down again, pressing his lips to mine attentively, reverently. “Let me taste you.” He swiped his tongue along my lips and I gasp. Draven took the opportunity to claim me. He dipped his tongue into my mouth, questing, consuming as he cradled my neck with his hand, the other cupping my cheek. I groaned involuntarily, the sound whispering its way up my windpipe. My lips part further, and my neck craned backwards to permit this heady exploration. My lips danced with his, our breaths mingling, catching and shallowing with every movement.
A cry broke in my throat at the tenderness of his touch and my heart oozed a compassionate warmth that threatened to bring tears to my eyes. How could a kiss be both cautious and assertive? His questing tongue slipped into my mouth again and my body melted further into his, my hands shifting from his bare chest to wrap around his torso, my nails pressing into his back. I needed to hold onto him, my legs were buckling beneath my weight.
Good Lord, I was wrong when I said I didn’t like tongue involvement in kissing. I hummed a satisfactory tune in my throat as he probed deeper, tasting me with the same fervour of a starving man. One I reciprocated. One I became lost in. There was only this. Us.
“You taste like heaven,” he grumbled as he pulled away gently, his lips moving with every word he pronounced. “like mine.” He dipped his head back down, claiming my mouth with his as he led the way in the most mind-numbing dance I’ve ever experienced.
“Are you mine, Princess?” He tore his lips away, his forehead leaned on my own, his hot breath fanning my face.
“I’m yours, Draven.” I pant, my chest ready to explode as he pushed me backwards until we were in the shower. The water drenched us immediately.
“And I’m yours, Princess. Do to me as you will.” He buried his face in my neck, pressing an open-mouthed kiss to the sensitive flesh. I bucked, my body pressed up against him, his erection evident and tempting against my stomach and instead of fucking me, he reached forward to a place I couldn’t see and soon after his slippery hands were at my back.
He was helping me shower. The idea of it had my heart thumping as I held onto him tighter.
“I cannot believe you’ve made me miss my class.” I huffed, my face buried into his chest as my breathing slowly normalised. He felt like home. A strange analogy considering I never knew exactly what that was supposed to feel like but if I had to hazard a guess, this would be it. This calm, peace and love were overwhelming but in the most amazing manner possible.
“Austin’s guest lecturing today considering toxins is the field he excels in, I’ll get you the necessary materials and he’ll be available for any queries you have.” He answers softly, his hand moving expertly over my body. We stayed like this for a while, Draven manoeuvred my body to wash me properly and soon I found myself returning the favour.
I reached down to wrap my hand over his engorged erection. His eyes pressed shut and his head fell back slightly. His throaty groan almost undid me. I was slick from his kiss and every single touch that followed. I wanted him again.
“Let’s wait until we get home princess.” He covered my hand with his own but I only increased my pressure and he sucked in a shuddering breath, “Let’s save up our energy. I plan to savour every part of you tonight.” His words sounded like a plea. It was a maddening experience, to have such a powerful man at my mercy, to have him this affected by my touch.
“Were you honest about me being your first kiss?” I whispered the words as I began pumping his cock, my confidence growing when he removed his hand from mine and planted them on my hips instead.
“Yes.” He all but whimpered, his body quivering beneath my touch and by the Gods if it wasn’t the sexist sound I’ve ever heard. That possessiveness nestled into my soul reared its head and I hated the thought of anyone else getting this side of him.
“Why is that?” His arousal affected me too and I barely heard the words even I said them. Draven groaned.
“Fuck, princess.” His jaw clenched, his head coming forward to press on my own. “Don’t you dare stop.” He growled, his cock thickening in my hands as I pumped faster, his hips moving with my rhythm, rocking back and forth. His satisfied hums saturated the air and his movements quickly became erratic until he spilt over in my hands. A lingering moan laced the air as he pumped his cum all over my hands. His shoulders slumped as he came down from his high.
He dragged me flush against him, inhaling my scent while I leaned into him.
“That felt amazing, princess. Thank you.” He pressed a kiss to my forehead, his arms tightening around me and I realised that all the showering we just did was in vain. At least we were still in the shower.
“You didn’t answer my question.” I reminded him, a wave of exhaustion wafting over me and I slumped deeper into his hold.
“I’ve always been an odd child,” he said in explanation to my question, “I abhorred the thought of sharing saliva with anyone and the longer I went without it, the less curious I was.” His voice soothed me, coaxing me closer to sleep. I hadn’t realised how exhausted I had been these past couple of weeks without him around.
“Why didn’t you stop me that night in the dalliance when I leaned in and kissed you?” I stifled a small yawn.
“That was my first instinct,” he chuckled, his hands moving along my back lovingly and for a moment I imagined that he did love me.
“But I enjoyed it,” He paused, “I enjoyed you. You were already kissing me, it would have been such a shame to stop you then, especially when it aroused me further.”
“Hmm,” the sounder vibrated in my throat.
“You don’t kiss like a novice,” I observe and I felt his chest convulse, his laughter soundless.
“I’ll take that as a compliment, princess.” He said.
“Now, let’s get you cleaned up and in bed.” He said, making quick work of cleaning us up. The rest of the process was a blur, my limbs were too heavy, and my brain foggy. I vaguely recall Draven carrying me to his car, I leaned over, pressing a kiss to his lips before he could reach for his seatbelt.
He growled with appreciation, his lips devouring mine. This kiss was different from the one we shared in his office. This one felt hungry, ravenous.
“Don’t tempt me, princess. You’re too tired to be playing this game.” He pulled away, his eyes lingering on my lips for a heated second before averted his gaze and focused on turning the key in the ignition. His car purred to life, the vibration oddly pacifying.
I grinned, settling in my seat, my eyes closing. My heart was at peace for the first time in my entire life. I loved this man and while I could never know his thoughts on love, I knew he wanted me and that was the greatest feeling in the world. To be wanted, protected and desired by Draven Thorn. This was the stuff of dreams; dreams I have never allowed myself to get lost in but I was lost. And I fucking loved it.
