Chapter 79
Freshia Ava’s POV
Martin was still silent after I expressed my opinion and my heart regarding the relationship between me, him, and Eros. He stared at a certain point, averting his gaze from me. Until finally I decided to talk to him again, to express the rest of my heart.
“Martin, for me, who never had the love of my parents since I was little, attention and affection from other people for me means a lot. I love the people closest to me and am very grateful to those of you who have set aside time and paid attention to me all this time. Since my grandma left yesterday, it feels like part of my life is gone. However, the presence of Amara, Simon, and also you, is enough to strengthen me to get through everything." I said softly.
I paused for a moment to take a deep breath before finally speaking again. “But life goes on, doesn't it? Simon ultimately chose to leave me and collaborate with Eros for his personal interests. In the end, Amara left me because she had to look after her family. Then you, you also chose to take me abroad because you really had the goal of conquering my heart. But I think again that if I come with you, you will definitely be busy with your mother, whereas I don't have any purpose there, Martin. Until finally I thought that you all had the final goal of going home. While I don't. I only had my grandmother's grave which I thought was a place to go home, but again I was wrong. I just found out yesterday that it turns out that my grandma is not as good as I thought all this time. I've lost my aim again, Martin.”
“And when I think about that, the person who came back and was there for me was Eros. The actions that Eros did had a huge impact on me. Being with him all this time made me realize that there are a lot of similarities between the two of us. I don't understand why it has to be him, but somehow he is always there for me, Martin. And I need it.”
As long as I told the story, Martin just listened quietly. Finally, he started to open his voice to ask me something. These questions that have never crossed my mind and I don't know the answer until now. "Does that mean you have fallen in love with Eros, Freshia?" He asked and I just fell silent.

About two and a half hours later, Martin took me to the restaurant in the apartment lobby. He said that we would wait there for his mother and Eros who would arrive in about fifteen minutes. Martin had previously told me what happened between him and Eros. Eros even went abroad to follow their mother, in order to teach Martin a lesson for continuing to disturb his life. And I can only pray that Eros doesn't do anything that endangers his own mother's life.
After waiting for approximately ten minutes, I saw Eros coming with a middle-aged woman sitting in a wheelchair with John pushing the wheelchair from behind. From a distance, I could see Eros who continued to stare at me and accelerated his footsteps. He immediately grabbed my hand as soon as he was near me and could reach me. “Let's go home, Freshia.” He said as he pulled me gently as a signal for me to stand up. However, the woman in the wheelchair who had the status of his mother immediately grabbed Eros' arm as soon as she arrived near him.
"Eat first, Eros. Shouldn't we eat together at least once in our lives?” he said softly.
Eros looked silent and did not immediately respond. But a few seconds later, he immediately turned around and took me back to sit at the table where Martin was still there. Meanwhile, Martin just remained silent in his place, looking at each of us alternately.
Dinner began after all the orders we had previously ordered had been served on the table. In silence, because no one was speaking at that time, we each ate the food that was in front of us, until in the middle of dinner, Mrs. Eros and Martin, who introduced herself as Mrs. Lizabeth, spoke up, breaking the silence between us. "Freshia, first I want to thank you because without you we might not be able to gather here." I, who still didn't understand where Mrs. Lizabeth was talking, could only nod my head and return the smile she threw at me.
"Martin, I knows what happened between you and Eros." She said again and then took a deep breath before continuing her conversation. When Martin heard that, his eyes widened, and immediately turned to Eros. "But don't blame Eros because I asked for this explanation. I knew something was going on between the two of you until Eros, who had been avoiding you and me, came directly to me. Maybe this is payback for what I did before so that even when you were older you still had to fight. Once again, I would like to apologize to Eros because a very difficult past has shaped you into the person you are today, and also left deep trauma for you."
"Enough. I agreed to eat together just because I appreciate you taking the time and being willing to bring me here. Not to repeat memories that I want to forget. Your apology also means nothing. Let our relationship return to how it was before, just knowing each other without any communication." Eros said suddenly.
"What's important now, is I just want to emphasize to Martin not to interfere in my and Freshia's affairs anymore. If you want to know, Freshia and I being together this time was also because of her will. She consciously came back to me.” Eros continued as he stared sharply at Martin, who at that time also returned his gaze.
“Yes, Freshia has also told me everything and I understand,” Martin said briefly. And after that, Eros immediately got up from his seat, holding my hand to invite me to leave there. I immediately said goodbye and immediately followed Eros who was walking in front of me.
In the car that was already driving along the highway that night, Eros, who had just been silent while looking at the view outside the window, suddenly called my name, making me turn towards him who was already looking at me. "Can I borrow your shoulder to lean on?" he asked in a low voice. His facial expression changed, showing extreme fatigue.
I immediately responded with a nod of my head, and then he actually put his head on my shoulder, whispering. "Why can she say sorry to me so easily after what she's done to me all this time? Does she deserve my forgiveness after what I've been through because she left me?"
From there I realized that his heart was hurt again just because he heard the words of apology from the person who had caused deep wounds to him. I immediately held his hand and tried to channel my empathy, hoping he could feel it and make him calmer.
