Chapter 140: Planning Our Wedding Part 2

Chapter 140: Planning Our Wedding Part 2
The next day we entered the bridal planning office to start setting up things or the day. As of right now we only have one client coming in for a lunch meeting which I am going to have Ace sit in on. Since today is Tuesday, we are expecting Shirley to come in at noon, so it is just us until then. We stock up on our supplies; get the cash tilt ready and sign in for the day. Ace and I decided to look at our choices for that we have for lunch. Right at eleven AM. Ace places the lunch order for pick up and since I did everything necessary to start the day, I sit at the receptionist area. At eleven-thirty AM. Ace leaves to grab the food. Not even fifteen minutes after he left Justin and Cantessa arrived.

"Let us take a seat at the table. Go ahead and sit down and I will grab your planner and pamphlets." I say as I walk over to my cubical and the file cabinet taking out their file and planner out of the drawer. I get back and take a seat at the table. "Ok, let's get started. We will break when Ace gets back with the food." I say opening their file and planning book.
"Ok, sounds good to us." Justin says.
"Here are the pamphlets for the churches that we deal with, and these are the pamphlets or the florist and bakery's." I say handing them the pamphlets. They take the pamphlets and start looking at them.
"I like this church with the Victorian ceilings." Contessa says, looking at me and Justin.
"Ok, I'll make an appointment."
"I think this florist is the best." Justin says.
"That is the one that are family goes through." I tell them as I write that down too. "I will make an appointment with them also." "Anything else?" I asked as Ace comes in through the door with our food and drinks.
"No, we just have to figure out the bakery." Contessa says. Ace seats down next to me and starts to hand out the food and drinks to us. The four of us begin to eat as we partake in conversation.
"How did your meeting with Ricardo go if you don't mind me asking?"
"We don't mind; it went well. I just don't like making a deal with the Mafia." Justin says.
"I wish he wouldn't get involved in that kind of organization again." Contessa added.
"I have been in this lifestyle all my life. I will tell you that you have nothing to worry about making a deal with my brother. Believe it or not, but he isn't like any other Mafa Organization that is out there and especially nothing like Bradley's." I tried to reassure them.
"Actually, I could tell, he cared more about us than what he could get out of it. So, that is how he died. He messed with the wrong family?"
"Yes, he had no idea that I came from a Mafia family. Ricardo got everything handed down to him by our father, even the legal business." I explained. We finished lunch and the meeting ended with them deciding on the bakery before leaving. After they left, I went back to my cubicle with my things and started making phone calls and setting appointments.

As I was dealing with my work and Ace in the receptionist area, I could hear Ace talking to someone.

"Can I help you?"
"Yes, I want to drop off this job application that I filled out. My grandfather, who is the postman that delivers your mail grabbed it for me on his rounds." The familiar voice answers.
"Mark? Mark Wilson? I say up to them.
"Jaycee?"
"Ace this is Mark, Mark this is my fiancé, Ace McCormick. Ace, Mark, and I went to the same college together." I explained it to him after the introduction.
"I see you moved up from the guy that used to beat you?" He asked.
"Yes, how did you know about this?"
“It wasn’t hard to put two and two together Jay, you seemed awfully scared of him not to mention the bruises that you used to come to school with.
"Oh!" That was all I was able to say."
"So, are you with anyone?" Ace asked.
"Yes, I married my high school sweetheart."
"Oh! You married Candiace?" I asked.
"Yes, right after we graduated." I got an application from him.
"So, you're finally living your dream?"
"Yes." I answered as I took my pen to read the application. "Come and take a seat at the table and I will be right with you." I say as I go to my office to get the paperwork needed for new hires. Grab a folder, handbook, W2 form and health insurance forms together. I come out and sit down across from him. "Since I know all of your qualifications, I won't do an interview with you, but I am going to hire you. Here is your handbook and forms that need to be filled out." I say handing the forms and a pen to him. "And keep the pen." I added as I put his employee folder together.
When he got done filling out his forms, I took him over to the clipboards and explained the use of them to him. Then a took him to the stock room and filled a small cart with the supplies that he will need. Last, I showed him over to his cubicle and then went back over to the table.

"For your schedule, how is Tuesday, Friday and Saturday ok with you?"
“It’s perfect. And thanks for the opportunity, Jay.”
"No problem." At this point Ace is already back at his cubicle, and Shirley is at the receptionist's area when a loud screech is heard from the front.
"Is Ace here? I need to see Ace!"
