358- Intoxicating Me

358- Intoxicating Me
POV Seraphine Valerian:

I didn’t even ask what she meant. I said goodbye and wandered around, waiting for him.

When it got to about the same time I had seen him arrive the night before, I heated the food and set everything ready. Shortly after, I heard footsteps and stayed seated at the table, anxious.

Viktor stopped there, surprised. He looked at me, then around, then back at me.

“Daciana left?”

“Yes.” I stood up, my legs like jelly, my heart pounding so hard it seemed to gallop. “Do you want dinner? She asked me to make sure you ate.”

“Have you become a spy now?”

He finished coming in and poured himself the strong drink he liked. I didn’t answer, going to the pots and uncovering them, my back turned so he wouldn’t see how nervous I was.

I felt his gaze burn the back of my neck.

“I’m going to have dinner too,” I said softly.

When I turned and placed the full, steaming plate on the table, his voice came out with a hint of irony:

“Looks like you’re hungry.”

“That one is for you.”

His surprise only grew, and, embarrassed, I served a smaller one for myself. He remained still, watching me, as I sat at the table.

“Aren’t you going to eat?”

Viktor approached slowly, settling at the head of the table without saying anything. Certainly finding everything strange.

We began to eat in silence. It was the first time this had happened—just the two of us. A different intimacy between us, with dense energy crackling in the air.

“What did you go do at the school today?”

I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, finishing chewing. Then we looked at each other, and all his attention was on me, his brows drawn together.

“I went to see if I could help with anything.”

“Weren’t you afraid of Lana?”

“I was.”

“And you went anyway.”

“I didn’t want to stay inside all the time.”

I went back to eating; he did too. Thoughtful and quiet.

I watched him out of the corner of my eye. The clothes he wore were all black—a tight shirt, pants, shoes. Similar to what he wore in my dream.

His appearance was harsher, perhaps because of recent events shadowing his face or his slightly grown beard. I gathered the courage to ask:

“Any news about Adelina?”

“No.” He was very blunt.

“Did they attack again? Are they getting closer?”

“No.”

Apparently, he didn’t want much conversation. When he finished, he took his plate to the sink, and I felt a bit desperate, wanting him to stay, not knowing what to say. There was a strong need in me for his company, to the point it hurt.

“Good night.” He walked straight past without looking back.

“Good night,” I murmured, not understanding why I felt so disappointed. And alone.

I washed and put away the dishes and cutlery. Covered the pots with dishcloths. And went back to my room.

I felt bad about everything that had happened. And seeing how worried Viktor was, tense, suffering far from Adelina.

My guilt only grew.

I realized he truly loved her. Even in the way Daciana spoke, that he had raised her like a daughter from the beginning. She was out there, away from the center, with no idea what might be happening to Lucian. He seemed ready to move the world to bring her back.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, I stared at my hands, thinking about all of it. Also remembering my father—how much I missed him all those years, how I dreamed of always being by his side. I knew how painful it was to be apart. Surely he had suffered being away from me too.

I admired Viktor. He would fight for Adelina, blaming himself.

I still didn’t understand why he chose to come after me if he loved her so much. It was too much to process at once, and I felt tired.

It took me a long time to fall asleep. Temptation called me to his room as the night deepened. Until I couldn’t resist.

I was only going to peek at him again. Asleep, he wouldn’t glare at me. That way, I could admire him freely. And fall asleep with his image in my mind.

I slipped out on tiptoe, wearing only one of his loose shirts.

I opened his door slowly.

He was still, his face turned the other way. Almost in the same position as the night before. Naked.

I held my breath, aroused by the masculine sight, the sheet between his legs leaving the thick bulge partly covered, partly exposed. I licked my lips, telling myself I should leave right away. It was wrong.

Fascinated, I felt the need for a little more. It was an inner hunger, a desire for touch and affection, for that wild passion I had experienced. It was dangerous to expose myself like that.

I closed the door slowly, and the room sank into dimness. I could only see the outline of his large, strong body as I approached on tiptoe. My heart hammered against my ribs; I didn’t even want to imagine what I’d say if he suddenly woke up.

As soon as I got close, his good, musky scent intoxicated me. I took in every part of him more clearly, unable to look away from the pink, wide cock, the large head peeking out from under the sheet. It seemed even bigger and more intimidating with the erection.

A powerful urge overtook me to look closer, to smell it. What would it be like to have him in my mouth? I had done that with a few boyfriends I had shared more intimate caresses with, without wanting to go all the way. It had been good, but Viktor was certainly much more delicious.

I would love to slide my hands over each muscle, kiss him, smell him.

Hypnotized, I sat at the edge and leaned close to his neck, my gaze traveling up his chest and neck, wandering over his features to the other side. Just a little more of his scent…

I almost screamed when he suddenly turned toward me, growling something. I was about to jump off the bed, but a heavy arm fell over me, and I was pulled forcefully. I bit my lip, terrified, ready for whatever he would say, furious.

Viktor dragged me against his body, holding me spooned against him. When he settled, breathing against my neck, I realized he was still asleep. And I remained frozen. Stunned by the situation I had created.

I closed my eyes for a moment, while I nearly erupted, my nipples hardening beneath the fabric. Fighting not to gasp and wake him.

What madness!

He pulled me even closer, his half-hard cock settling against my ass, his large hand on my stomach. His scent intoxicating me.

This was what I thought would happen when I finally lost my virginity to a man. He would take care of me afterward, with affection and an embrace, sleeping wrapped around me.

It hadn’t been like that, but… even unconscious, it was happening. I took advantage of it, waiting for a chance to slip away when he turned again.

I didn’t even realize when I drifted off in his arms.
