340- A Dangerous Display

340- A Dangerous Display
POV Viktor Averwyn:

“Nothing so far.” Cezar pointed to the northern section of the map. “Our sensors picked up movement here, but still far away. Maybe they’re arming themselves or setting up a small camp. Any word from the alphas or the Elders?”

“No.”

“Do you think they’ll all unite? Or could there be disagreements among them?”

“They will obey the laws. If the order is to attack, that’s what they’ll do.”

“Then all that’s left is to wait. We’re all on standby.” He shifted in his chair, eyes fixed on me. “I thought something unexpected had happened. You seem tense. Nervous.”

I scoffed, still shaken by Seraphine. I hadn’t even stayed for lunch, wanting to keep as much distance from her as possible. Damn woman!

I still couldn’t believe what she had done to my clothes.

She should be grateful I hadn’t fucked her and killed her!

The image of her—completely naked—invaded my mind again.

“Viktor?”

“Just concerns. We’re well organized. Everything will go well.”

“That’s what I believe.”

At that moment, there was a knock on the door, and I told them to come in.

I was surprised to see Daciana. She must have come to bring me a plate of food.

“Son…” She kissed her firstborn’s head, then hurried over to me, waving her hands. “I always follow your orders, boy. I know you had your reasons, but she went too far! Still, this isn’t right.”

“What are you talking about?” I frowned.

“Seraphine! She can’t stay like that around the house! Much less walk around the village like that!”

“Like what?” Her nakedness pulsed through my mind. “She…”

“She’s naked! She came down and had lunch as she came into the world! Change that punishment, for the love of—”

I shot to my feet, furious.

“She walked around the house naked?”

“Wasn’t that your order?”

“Fuck! And the guards?”

“They saw, of course! It’ll be worse if she goes out and— Viktor!”

I ran out of the office and the building, unable to believe it.

I sprinted toward the castle, rage pounding as I imagined my guards seeing her, getting aroused by her. Damn brat, crazy, provoking woman!

“Open this fucking door!” I barked when the guard hesitated for even a second. “Did you see her?”

“No, sir. I didn’t look.” He quickly lowered his gaze, nervous.

It wasn’t his fault, though I had the urge to rip his eyes out. And teach that girl a lesson!

I crossed the hall like a bullet and saw her coming down the corridor with Adelina. My daughter was laughing, saying something, fully dressed. And Seraphine was there—barefoot and completely naked, only her hair spilling over her skin.

I lunged forward, and she panicked, trying to run. I threw her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

“Dad!”

I ignored Adelina, heading back toward the stairs.

“Viktor, let me go!” she struggled, afraid.

I ran through the hall. The guard quickly turned his back, and I climbed the staircase, furious, out of control. I threw her onto the bed, where my clothes still lay scattered, destroyed.

“You told me to!” she shouted, dragging herself back, hair covering her face.

I grabbed both her ankles and pulled her toward me, standing, growling. She froze, panting, eyes wide. Her nipples were hard, her little pussy right there, calling to me. I was hit by her aphrodisiac scent and released her abruptly. I pointed at the torn fabrics.

“You will not eat, you will not drink, and you will not leave this room until you sew my clothes back together.”

“But… it’s useless now, they—”

“Fuck that! You’ll sew everything, even if it takes you days! And don’t mix the pieces!”

“Viktor…”

“Or you’ll meet the beast for real, Seraphine. Don’t play with me. You have no idea who you’re dealing with.”

She fell silent, feeling my fury in waves.

“If you mess up again, you’ll regret the day you were born! Do you understand?”

She nodded.

I fought my instincts, every fiber of my body pulsing with anger and lust, her scent nearly destroying what little control I had left.

I went to the closet, came back with a dark gray shirt, and threw it at her.

“Put that on and don’t leave. When I come back, I want to see the clothes sewn.”

“Yes, sir,” she said quietly, though irritation laced her tone.

I left even angrier than when I had come in. I was close to sending that pest back to Konrad and letting him deal with her.

When I returned to the village, I was still boiling. But I knew I wouldn’t hand her over to anyone.

Boris came running, saying to me:

“It’s started! Attack on the northern field.”

Seraphine would have to wait.

It was war.
