I burst out in tears and gagged. « Stop, please ! » I couldn't take no more, it was horrible. Burning tears scorched my cheeks as his arms tightened around me.

We were walking around as I listened still, crying for the boy who has been through so much pain. I couldn't imagine how he must be feeling.

« I don't know the proper reason, but I'm guessing it's just greed. » He mumbled, stopping beside a tree. It was a tall tree, but most trees are tall. He reached out in his pocket and pulled out a golden medal, it looked like a running medal or something. « I came up with a plan that I could use Jenny to my advantage anyway and make Marcus feel what I felt losing someone you love. I had to pretend to be into Jenny, so I slept with her and used her, made it out as if I was really into her. »

He moved away from me and I watched as he tied the medal around the tree. I shivered, was this were his father died ? I turned and looked around, seeing snow drop flowers on the floor.

I picked up a big bunch and walked beside Colton. I placed on in the medal and looked up at Colton who smiled down at me.

« My parent's would have liked you. »

« I'm sure I would have liked them, » I sighed and made my way over towards the decking of the lake house. I placed the snowdrop flowers on one of the stairs for his mother.

« Layla. » I turned my head to see Colton standing behind me, he had his hands dug inside his pockets. « I'm not good at relationship stuff or this deep talking. I'm asking too much of you. I don't want you to get hurt. »

I shook my head. « We've already been over this. I just understand you better now after you telling me all of this. I've already told you I'm taking you as you are. You need me and I need you. »

He shook his head. « I'll drag you down. »

« Then I'll work on dragging us back up, no matter what. » A few tears fell from my eyes and Colton moved towards me quickly, pulling my neck and smashing his lips against mine. Wind howled all around us, tickling my neck and blowing leaves against my legs.

Colton pulled away as I wrapped my arms around his neck. « I do need you. »

« I'm not going anywhere. »

« Good. » He said and smirked suddenly. « I'd have to throw you over my shoulder otherwise. »

I rolled my eyes and took hold of his hand. « Come on, let's go and watch a movie at your place. I'm not done with you yet. »

« Well, in that case. »

I laughed when my world flipped upside down and I was over Colton's shoulder again. I laughed as he placed me on my feet by the car and held the door open for me.

I knew for what I was about to do was crazy. I knew that this could only end badly. But I didn't give a damn because Colton was my world, and I was his.
