Lucifer

I wasn’t feeling too happy on our way back to the Hotel, I was hoping Adri will give us another solution to get Gabriel out in the open but apparently the only solution we have is to use Kid as bait, not Angel nor I was happy with that.  After we saw last night how fast he was and how quickly he could grab her around the neck both of us was a little weary of that approached.  But Kid was ready for whatever she needed to do.  She was actually smiling all the way back.  Me not so much.  When we got back to the hotel, I ordered her some lunch and a soda while I made Angel and I a cup of coffee.  “So, we ready to go to bed?”  Kid asked.  Angel and I looked at each other.  “No not yet you need to eat and maybe take a nap before we do the real thing.”  “I can’t take a nap and then go to bed again Lucifer.”  I wasn’t really thinking I was just thinking I didn’t want to use her as bait that was all that went through my mind.  “I ordered you some lunch.”  “Oh, that was nice of you.”  “Well, you always forget to eat and you need your strength for tonight.”  “What will I do without you?”  She said smiling at me. No Kid what will I do without you that is the thing I never want to find out, I want you by my side for as long as you live.

While we were waiting for her food Niki arrived back from the streets.  “Oh, good you are all here.”  “Why did you find something out?”  “I actually did.”  We all went to sit and listened to Niki.  “Okay I spoke to a lot of Vampires some of them knew family members that was tortured by Dream walkers, this is a very long time ago in some of the cases and it was vampires that had beef with the living vampires of the families.  Okay but what did they do?” “They found out the vampire’s vulnerability that is still alive and used that against them.”   “Great the only vulnerability Gabriel has ever had or I’ve ever seen was Kid.”  “You serious?”  Kid asked me.  “Yes, Kid you are the only women I’ve ever seen him cling to in his entire existence.  Although I didn’t know him before he was a vampire but I’m very sure all his family is dead or else they would have been with him. And he wouldn’t have been such a dick.  “Shit so I got nothing.”  Niki said.

I got up to comfort Niki I mean he went out to try and help unfortunately what he found out wasn’t much of help to us but as I tried to touch him, I couldn’t it was like someone or something was blocking me from touching him.  We both looked at each other confused.  Lucifer got up and touched me which he could do then Angel got up and touched me that is when I remembered Adri’s word ‘no evil thing will ever touch you again.’  I didn’t see Niki as evil but clearly Adri saw all Vampires as evil except the two that was linked to me.  “That is strange.”  I said trying to cover the fact that I already know what was going on.  “Probable a spell that witch, put on you.”  Niki said with a lot of distaste in his words.  “Thank you, Niki thank, you for trying to get answers for us.” I changed the subject because he was right it was a spell that Adri put on me.  “It’s my pleasure.”  There was a knock on the door and Niki went to open it pushing the cart with my food towards me. “Here you go.”  Niki said before he left us. 

It was Angel who asked “What was that about?”  “I didn’t want to say it in front of Niki but remember when Adri said “Now no evil thing will ever be able to touch you?”  “Yes?”   Both of them asked.  “Well, she sees you guys as evil.”  “But we can touch you.”  Angel said.  “Because we are linked to her.”  Lucifer said with a smile on his face.  “And that smile.”  “I’m just happy no other vampire will ever be able to put their hands on you again. I should have tipped her even more.”  “That is a bit of a problem as well Lucifer as you only do business with vampires.”  “We’ll find away to work around that don’t worry, eat that we can get this thing over with.”

I lifted the dome and inside there was a nice juicy cheeseburger waiting for me.  I was so happy that Lucifer didn’t just order me salad and meat I liked my cheeseburgers and clearly, he has noticed.  Angel left Lucifer and me alone while I was eating.  I could see Lucifer was restless.  “What’s the matter Lucifer.”  “Nothing.” “I thought we don’t lie to each other.”  He looked at me and sighed “Fine I’m worried I don’t want to use you as bait.”  “If you want to or not, I will use myself as bait.”  “But I’m afraid he hurts you more than he did last night.”  “As long as you get to kill him, I really don’t care, bruises can heal but living with him in my head and dreams I can’t live with that.  He will make me crazy.”  “But shouldn’t we just rely on the protection spell?”   “You don’t want to kill him anymore?”  “I want to but not at the cost of hurting you.”  “There would have always been a cost Lucifer.”  “I don’t like it.”  “Well, I’m good with it, I want him dead and away from me forever.”  “Are you sure?”  Lucifer asked again.  “100% sure.”  “Okay then if you are sure we will do it.”  Lucifer came to sit next to me and held my leg while I was eating.  “You want a bite?”  “No, it’s way to cooked for me.”  “Oh, do you eat burgers?”  “When they are raw yes but that doesn’t go off very well when you order a rare beef burger.”  I smiled “I can only imagine.”
