Chapter 120 120

Chapter 120 120
Kimberly’s POV

Everywhere was bubbly. And I could not place my hand on why it was all happening, but then I saw red splashes all over the place and some people wearing red as soon as I got to school, and it made me remember that today was February 14, which means it was Valentine’s Day.

Interesting.

Funny how I never noticed things like this till now. And I knew the reason was because of Julian. My heart skipped a bit when the thought of what u could do for him came to me.

That was not so strange now, was it?

“What’s got your head in a twist?” I heard his voice, and I slipped out of my own head to look at him. He was looking as good as he would always look today. And it was mouth-watering.

I could already tell that he knew what I was thinking in my head. So, I shook my head in an attempt to tell him no.

“What’s up?” I asked, smiling widely at him and ignoring his question.

“I’m good. How are you?” He asked me, and I smiled widely.

“I’m doing well. Do you have anything planned for today?” I asked him before I thought twice about it. Because if it stayed long in my head, I would not be able to say it. And that might derail the whole point.

His eyebrows rose, and he looked at me again.

“No. Why? You want to have me kidnapped?” He said jokingly, and I rolled my eyes, slapping his shoulder and walking past him.

“In your dreams. Besides, there is nothing I want to do with you.”

“You don’t say.” He called after me. “I used to think you were after me because of my body.” My cheeks reddened because I was sure that some of the people who were passing by had heard what he had just said.

“Fuck you, Alexander.”

“Is that a promise?” I could feel the teasing in his tone, and I felt heat rise to my throat.

The classes for the first half of the day went very fast. And in the middle of those times, I decided that I would tell him about how I felt about him today. I did not plan anything, a surprise gift or those cheesy things that people do. I just want to give him something. Or do something. So that day would be memorable for me. And for him.

But then, plans don’t always go the way you have them envisioned in your head.

We were in the cafeteria, and everything was going nicely. I was eating the food that he brought for me when he got a call that made his facial expression change just a little bit. It was not too much, but then, I was able to trace it. He walked outside to receive it. And when he came back, his shoulders were bunched tight.

“What’s up?” I asked tentatively. He was a little cold. His aura and the way his face was blank made me know that whatever he got from that phone call was bad. And I should stay away from it. But then, me being me, I did not because I pushed.

“Nothing to worry about. Eat.” He said to me, To a normal person, it was all good. Thus was the usual Julian Alexander that most people got. But this was not normal to me. He was reserved with me, and he was not usually like this.

I stopped eating and pinned him with a glare for a while, but he did not move. He just stared into space for what seemed to be like hours before he spoke to me again.

“I’m good, Kim. Eat. And you said you wanted to tell me something earlier.” He said, and I almost whitened.

Maybe I should not have brought that up before now. His mood was messy already, and it would not look very nice.

“Don’t worry about it. Maybe another time.”

“That’s what you will not do, baby. You will tell me.” He leaned forward on the chair, resting his hands on the table.

“But…”

“No buts. I’m telling you now that you will tell me what you planned to tell me earlier.” He said as a matter of fact, like I do not have a choice in the matter. And somehow, I found myself nodding alongside him.

For some reason, I can’t seem to say no to him.

I bit my lip rapidly because I was overly nervous. He would look at me when he thought I was not looking or not aware. But I could feel his eyes on me.

By the time we were done eating, we left the cafeteria. And we were supposed to go to the class. But then suddenly, I felt him drag my hand and pull me into a very silent hallway that led to the art side of the school. There was no one here at the moment, so it was very silent.

“What are you doing?” I asked him, looking around and a little jilted from the sudden movement.

“Talk to me.” He said, leaning back away from me, like he was giving me space. And I thought the space was not exactly enough because he was still crowding me. I could feel him even from here.

I leaned back into the wall as if to get away from him further.

“We can talk about this later. It’s not a big deal.” I tried again, but the look on his face was saying that he was not having it at all. So I kept quiet for a while and tried to get my thoughts in order before I started to speak.

“Him,….. I don’t know if you have noticed. But then, I’ll tell you. We’ve been dating for a while now. And it was not serious for me from the beginning. But then. I’ve come to realize my feelings for you. And I wanted to tell you that I like you. I really do. Hell, I love you.” I rushed out.

And the silence after was deafening.
