Chapter 16

"I would be very honored if you would invite us, Your Majesty. My daughter would be delighted if you would invite her,"Lord Edgar said, causing Livia, who had been listening, to widen her eyes in surprise.

"I was pleased to learn that you wanted to be friends with my daughter,"he continued.

"Father!"Livia whispered and tried to stop her father. Of course, she knew what her father would say.

"Forgive me if I'm a bit presumptuous, Your Highness, but do you have feelings for my daughter?"

Lord Edgar's words made everyone there widen their eyes in surprise. But not Evan, who knew from the beginning where their conversation was going. Evan smiled weakly and looked at them all in turn, making Livia's head tensed.

Alissya looked up at the moon shining brightly through the ceiling of her room. The girl tightened the cloth around her body as she felt the night wind pierce her skin.

"Your Highness, i brought you some hot tea,"Grace said as she handed Alissya a cup of tea. Alissya smiled and took the cup.

"Thank you, ma'am."

Alissya slowly began to drink the aroma of the tea Grace had given her. Immediately she felt a warmth in her body. But the girl returned to staring straight ahead with a blank stare. Grace, seeing Alissya who had been silent for a day, frowned in confusion. She did not know what had happened to the height and did not dare ask if Alissya did not want to explain herself.

"It's late Guveen, you'd better go inside,"Grace said, but Alissya didn't answer.

"I still want to be here, ma'am. You'd better get some rest. You must be very tired from serving me all day,"Alissya said without looking away.

Grace did indeed feel very tired today. But she could not leave Alissya alone.

"I will leave when His Majesty arrives, Queen,"Grace said, making Alissya frown.

"He's not at the palace?"Alissya asked confused. Grace was a little surprised that Alissya didn't know the whereabouts of her own dead.

"Did Lord Evan not tell you?"Alissya just shook her head when she heard that.

"Lord Evan is currently fulfilling a dinner invitation in the Wizard Kingdom. I don't know if you seem to be unaware of this, Queen."

"He won't tell me anything, ma'am, because he never considered me,"Alissya said with a sad look on her face. Grace, who heard this, was immediately surprised. She didn't think they were that close.

They had not been that close all this time. Grace finally knew why stayed in the room and Evan never looked for her.

"You should rest, Queen, the night wind is not good for you,"Race said, trying to talk about her conversation. She did not want Alissya to dissolve in sadness from thinking about Evan.

Finally, 'ssya obeyed Grace's words and went into the room, because she was also very tired. Alissya also told Grace to leave the room before she got on the bed.

"Slowly,"Alissya began to feel very sleepy. The girl's eyes closed and she began to fall asleep.

The next morning, Alissya opened her eyes and tried to gather her senses. But when she looked beside her bed, she couldn't find Evan.

"Where is he?"Alissya muttered, getting out of bed.

"Never mind, i better get cleaned up and help the others downstairs,"Alissya said and went to the closet.

A few minutes later, Alissya had finished her bath and put her clothes back on. But when she came out of the room, she was surprised to see Evan standing by the window with a cold voice. Alissya, who was about to leave the room, sighed softly and then looked back at Evan.

"Did you take a shower?"Alissya asked.

Evan, hearing her, froze and looked at the girl.

"Not yet,"he replied shortly. Alissya then turned to the walk-in closet to get all the necessary Evan needed. Even if Evan never cared about her, she should at least do this.

"I have everything prepared,"Alissya said quickly, then stepped out behind Evan, who was still in his seat.

Alissya descended the stairs and smiled as she passed the servants, glancing around for Grace but frowning when she didn't see her.

"Is there something you need, Queen?"one of the servants asked as he approached Alissya.

"What are you looking at, Grace?"Lady Grace was in the back garden of the Veer.

"Very well, thank you,"Alissya said smiling at the servant before finally stepping into the back garden of the tstana.

On her way, Alissya smiled at the servants and guards she passed. But the girl's steps stopped when she heard something coming from one of the rooms in the middle of the forest.

"So Evan is spending the night in the wizard's kingdom?"

"That's right, Queen. After dinner, Miss Livia asked His Majesty the King to spend the night in his palace."

"And he just agreed?"asked Crystal, raising her voice slightly.

Alissya's brow furrowed at the sound of her mother-in-law's voice, which rose slightly at the sound of her name.

'Livia? Who dis?'she thought.

Alissya, wanting to hear more of their conversation, immediately left the room when she saw a servant approaching. Alissya regained her composure and breathed a sigh of relief when they were no longer comfortable.

"That was close,"Alissya muttered. ta also quickened her pace to talk to Grace. Maybe she could ask her about the girl called Livia.

Grace, who was in the back garden watching the servants cleaning the palace garden, immediately ordered her head when she saw Alissya's arrival.

"I've been looking for you,"Alissya said.

"Is there something you need, Queen?"asked Grace.

Alissya shook her head and then invited Grace to one of the seats near the lake. Grace frowned when she saw Alissya thinking about her and preoccupied with her thoughts,

"Do you know about the girl named Livia?"asked Alissya, making Grace roll her eyes.

"How do you know about Princess Livia Gueen 7?"

"Ahh so she's a princess,"muttered Alissya looking down sadly.

"She is the daughter of the Wizard King. As far as I know, Lord Evan has been friends with Miss Livia for a long time,"Grace explained, causing Alissya to nod briefly.

Alissya picked up one of the pebbles and threw it into the lake. The girl's mind was again in turmoil after learning of Evan's relationship with Liva, for some reason, pain was rising in her heart. Grace looked sadly at Alissya. Of course, she knew what the girl was thinking.

"Don't worry, Queen. Lord Evan is unlikely to save his partner, if that's what you're thinking,"Alissya suddenly raised her head when she heard Grace's words. Then she smiled and nodded her head.

"Yes, you're right, i should trust my own eyes,"Alissya said, smiling. Although deep inside there was still a little hesitation to believe it.
